This is for a curbside pick up order. Wow what a world of difference ordering at this store is compared to the Lodi store. I actually got a call confirming substituted items and my order. The list of out of stock items was minimal. My previous orders at the Lodi store hardly ever had any of the proteins on my list. The time and effort of picking up groceries at the Wallington store makes the process pleasant and convenient Where as ordering at the Lodi store is a crap shoot of what's in stock and being annoyed because you end up needing to make another trip to get everything that they did not have or could not find. read more

I've been coming here since they opened. ShopRite Wallington does EVERYTHING right. All the staff is courteous & professional, always ready & willing to assist. The organization & cleanliness of the aisles far surpasses any other ShopRite in this area. Even when the staff is restocking, customers flow smoothly. Even the customers are friendly due to the superb shopping experience this store provides with the perfect temperature as well. The bathroom is always clean & stocked - a relief to see. Truly 5 stars all around. Huge parking lot, I'm never fighting someone for a spot. Super spacious and great layout. The workers here are so helpful, I literally just walked by the deli department and someone was already asking if I needed help. She was so sweet and sliced everything perfectly. No complaints at all! The bakery is beautiful and I'm sure I'll be grabbing cakes from there from now on. The bagels are really really delicious. I don't know if they bake them in house but I bought a jalepeno cheddar bagel and put it in the toaster and it tasted just like a bagel shop. Delicious. They also have fun options I've never seen at other shoprites, like a cappuccino muffin! Produce is perfectly laid out and fresh. So many options. They're always in stock of every sale item. Really clean store and lots of options. Big store which I think is good for carrying a variety of products. My only suggestion is that the vegan products in the store aren't really organized in a way that is easy to find. Some of the vegan products are stored together where other products are scattered with different departments. Once you get an idea where everything is you'll be okay, but I do think the store would benefit from a natural/organic/specialty food aisle. I really love that the store has a clearance rack. Used ShopRite catering for a little celebration and it was surprisingly good! Ordered "Kings Hawaiian Specialty Sandwich Platter" that were small sandwiches--roast beef, chicken, cuban (roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles). The little sandwiches were said to be for 8 people , but understand that they really should be seen as hors'dourves. Total of 24 little sandwiches. ShopRite should be explicit and give the number (not just say for eight people). Checked today and disappointed to see that ShopRite catering no longer offers these "Kings Hawaiian specialty sandwich platters". Too bad. They were rather small but good. read more

Generally speaking I love this store. It has been a store of choice for grocery shopping since the store open. This is true despite the fact that the local Stop & Shop it's quite a bit closer. Which ShopRite just blows them away. As with any place there are always minor issues. I'll get to those in a bit but generally speaking we find the store to be very very clean. The customer service staff here is top-notch. If you ask somebody for something they very rarely fail to get it done for you. I am disabled and for a while I was having a lot of trouble moving around. One of the managers came to me and said listen just call customer service and we'll bring the motorized cart to your car. Which is something they now do religiously every time so got to love them for something like that. I guess my major issues with them are they tend to have issues with their sale items quite frequently in that they often or out of the stuff that's on sale. And I'm not talkin about the last day to say how I'm talkin about the first day of the sale. There shall start on Sundays and I go shopping on Sundays and often can I find the things that are advertised in a circular. I walk around with a stacker and checks in my pocket. In fact right now have about 20 of them. The other issue I have is with the way they stock out. If you going to the store, which is open till midnight, anytime past about 8 p.m. the night staff beginning stocking out and by this I mean they bringing multiple pallets out and stacking them at the end of aisles are also leaving those U-Boat hand truck wall over the aisles. This makes difficult for someone who is completely abled to get to the items on the shelves forget about me sitting in the chair doing it. It also makes it quite difficult to maneuver in and out of the Isles at all because the pallets at the end of the AR in the way. Personally I think that kind of stuff should be done once the store is closed. But even with those couple of issues, I overall have a very positive attitude about this establishment. read more

Super impressive and extensive meat department! Anything I'm looking for they usually carry. Huge fan of bone broth, so I love that they offer many marrow cuts compared to my local SR which tends to be whole pieces only. They definitely carry more SKUs than my local store so it's just a matter of my mood that day as to which I'll go to! As for CS, Lyndhurst is better. Also, if you are a couponer, this may not be the store you want to go to unless you feel like wasting 15 mins proving you are right all the time. Otherwise, they restock often so pick your poison! Their Shop From Home used to be amazing. Katherine used to be so professional and helped us every week. But she was transferred to another store and now their employees don't care and give zero effort. We pay extra for Shop From Home so they can get our groceries but now every week they say they don't have over half of our orders but when we go into the store all of the groceries they said they didn't have are there. It's completely disappointing and sad how amazing they used to be and how lazy and unprofessional they have become! We pay more for a service they don't provide! Do better ShopRite! read more

This Shoprite never disappoints me. I just don't come here during the day on Sundays because it's so crowded so I love to come here on off peak times....at night. It's clean, plenty of parking and staff is very friendly. Some tips for being a Shoprite customer: - Download their app because they have digital coupons and you can load them onto your price plus card - Shoprite has their weekly circular broken down in categories so you just click the item on sale and it automatically goes into your shopping list - Once your done with your shopping list then while you shop check each item off. - The shopping lists also include your digital coupons. - If you go on Sunday night, they sell the Record newspaper and other coupons are in there. It's $1.50 for a paper. - Once you checkout, you'll see the digital coupons come off at the bottom of your receipt. There's also other options to use on the Shoprite app like recipes. Really unhappy with the parking lot maintenance at this ShopRite. When they first opened , the kid who gathers the carts literally pushed and slammed a cart onto moving vehicle. I knew it wasn't intentional, but so careless. There are carts strewn all over the place and we are tired of driving through an obstacle course of carts to park our cars. Brand new store that just opened up this week. First impressions: Definitely one of the nicest supermarkets in the area. Besides the usual departments, there was also a Lavazza coffee bar area and a registered dietician area. There was also a large selection of Polish products. I would say this store is so much nicer than the nearby Stop and Shop. Plus it's hard to beat Shop Rites prices. The opening week grand opening sales were not as good as would have expected. This is a great new ShopRite that big big, big. It's got all the sections you can think of plenty of parking. And special low prices with your ShopRite card. Plus they are open 24 hours. I also go to the Lyndhurst ShopRite, but this ShopRite has a way better bakery and florist. he bakery can compete with the stand alone bakeries in the area, pretty cakes in 5 and 9 inch size not just the birthday kind but Chocolate Oreo's, Red Velvet, Strawberry Short cakes to in additions to the Cheese cakes, individual pastries like Napoleons and Cream Puff. Alone with your standard like breads, doughnuts, pies etc. Now the florist has some nicely prepared flowers and bundles to make up your own. Now I may not want to give gift flowers from the supermarket but if I'm thinking of my own home then why not get some Orchids or Sun Flowers or tropical when they have them, to put around the house. read more

Went to Shoprite of Wallington today and tried to make my regular purchases. When I got to the register they told me only 4 packages of veggies. I asked for the manager & told them I was vegan and that's the bulk of my food. They said no and that meat eaters only get 1 package of chicken. I said meat eaters get 1 package of slaughtered animal (basically the main cause of the virus) and 4 packages of veggies. Vegan get 4 packages of veggies and a big fat nothing? WTF? This is by far The Best ShopRite that I've been to.. They have high quality meats and soups and since Covid they always been quite stocked . Also my husband is retired law enforcement so, when there are lines out the door, we'd be allowed to go in first, which is a nice touch. The employees are friendly and helpful and the store is VERY clean. They follow all Covid regulations which I appreciate. It's brand new, clean bathrooms, aisles are spacious, dairy products are all refrigerated, hot foods are prepared (variety of soups on daily basis), floral department has a variety of plants and flowers. Also, they have cooking classes ($20) along with a registered Dietitian! Now that's Hot! Love that they opened a shop rite so close to our home. Shop Rite is our favorite grocery store here in North NJ, the sale prices are great and for the most part the food is of good quality. With that said, the Shop Rite of Wallington is slightly inconsistent as compared to other local Shop Rite stores. I find myself traveling to the SR of Lyndhurst or Lodi for better quality produce, wider selection of bakery offerings and better quality seafood counter. It is convenient that there is a SR location so close but it would really knock it out of the park if Shop Rite would enforce the brand and rectify these incongruences. read more

With that being said, they will fill a non store branded growler and howlers. They happily filled my flip-top Stanley growler using a conventional hose setup. The staff is super friendly. I have been here a few times and every time they gladly let me sample as many beers as I would like from their tap selection. They have a large cold and room temp bottle/can beer selection. Their wine selection is not bad. I was a little surprised to find Australian wines mixed with the Argentinian wines (probably an over sight), but they are generally sorted by country. This is my new go to shoprite. It's big and very clean. Gets busy over the weekend, but during the weekday it's not busy at all. They have a liquor store next to it, which is very convenient. I wish they had a self check out like other shoprites so I don't have to wait too long on line. They call it flagship store, I guess these days. This store is stunning!!!! It was well prepared for their grand opening. Selection is better than good. Plenty of organic and specialty diet foods and it is all labeled. We have dairy allergies in the family, so it is important. Staff is very friendly and knows where everything is. For a store which just had opened it is very impressive. Sushi chef has a team preparing freshest sushi. We tried it - yummm!!! Customer service (it is always very good at Shop Rites) is no exception-good and friendly. Overall it has a feel of a good energy, caring staff, nice floor surface, bagging assistance. Here are the reasons why we love this store after 2 visits in 4 days. It has our favorite Talenti ice cream for which we used to have to drive ll the way to Montclair's Whole Foods. It has Polish fresh pierogies for which we had to go to Botany Village before. It has sushi (very fresh). We live across the river in Passaic where there is no single Japanese restaurant (to my knowledge). It has dairy free yogurts which we used to get at Stop and Shop in Clifton. I think I like this location a lot better than the Lodi one. It has a lot more organic stuff and seemed a lot less hectic. Even though I did come here around 930 10ish so I'm not sure how it is earlier in the day. May have to come back around when people get out of work to see what's up. Disappointed to see they had no ginger in the produce isle though. Seems to me they are not big on produce. The prices on everything else are pretty nice. But then again most Shoprites are more affordable than other stores. I remember back in the day when this was another junkier supermarket. They really cleaned the place up from what it used to be.
