Been in town for over two decades now and sad to say we've only been here twice. But we'll certainly start going more. The beef franks were delicious and the cooked bratwurst was as well. There are many other tantalizing selections that we look forward to trying. The folks behind the counter were helpful and answered our questions about our selections. You can smell their smokehouse when you walk in the door, which always piqued my interest when we'd walk around the Radburn area. Definitely will be back. read more

You can buy a variety of things for the ultimate barbecue or even premade meals to warm up on a busy work day. I visited to pick up stuffed cabbage, prepared macaroni salad, and German potato salad. This was some of the best stuffed cabbage and salads I've had recently. I also ordered some sandwiches including ham on a roll and turkey on a roll. Both very fresh and delicious. I have been going here for over 40 years and the attitude and service from the counter people now leave a lot to be desired. There's no take a number type system so you have to use the honor system and hope people don't cut ahead of you which they do and you can't use an honor system when there's few honorable folks around these days. Notably the staff seems angry when I went in and only one person was being waited on there were three people behind the counter that gave me absolutely no attention to place an order at all. The owner wasn't there because I heard someone asked for him and they said he wasn't there so that's how I know. I can understand how the store gets so busy and with people's attitude sometimes how counter staff can get a little frustrated but that wasn't the case when I was in there with no one waiting. this isn't the first time when the store isn't busy that it's hard to get someone's attention. so hey Stevie wake up your staff needs to be pleasant regardless of how crowded it might be. read more

My grandfather came to this store and so did my father. As kids we picked up all our Christmas food here. NEVER AGAIN.... Staff is nasty especially the older guy with the short gray hair. It says online they open at 5 am so I arrived at 5 and he told me he didn't have time to take my order, he said they weren't open yet and to come back at 6:30. So I wait in the parking lot and walked back in at 6:30 to place my $800 order.... But nope the same guy comes out and says he doesn't have time for my order because he's busy in the back. I asked him if he could just write it down but he kept complaining. I felt so unwelcome that I walked out. I'm the 3rd generation coming to this store and this is how I'm treated. I'm disgusted and saddened. Im loyal customer and they wouldn't even take my order. I live in Hillsdale NJ with Karl Ehmer 2 blocks away but I come to the Swiss Pork Store because it was a family tradition. Traditions aren't meant to be broken But refuse to be disrespected. Placing a holiday dinner order shouldn't be something that makes you upset, The employees at the store should be full of holiday cheer. Great store--everything we had was delicious! This is a fantastic local butcher for some high-quality and flavorful meats. The socially-distanced line out-the-door most visits was a clear sign this place is a gem. We ordered a few slices of the Veal Loaf (cooked), Frankfurters, Weisswurst, Bratwurst, and Hamburgers. The Veal Loaf was delicious--packed with flavor but very light. The Frankfurters and Hamburgers here are great if you want some upgraded barbecue fare for a bit extra $. I'm a big fan of the Weisswurst, but the Bratwurst is definitely more of a general crowd-pleaser if you had to pick between one of them. They also have steaks that I'd love to try sometime, plus some pantry items. Highly recommend coming here! read more

How have I lived this long unaware of this place! "Kid in a candystore" (Porkstore?) really applies here, because I walk in and want to buy everything! I have gotten the double cut bone in pork chops a few times now and they are literally the best I have ever had. Same goes for the store made Weisswursts which are also the best I have tasted and HUGE. I can't wait to go back and try the store made Pastrami, Liverwurst and Italian sausages. A true old school butcher!! It is so nice that places like this still exist. My wife actually found this place and she loves their bratwursts! I do too hahaha! Although the parking lot is a tad bit difficult to get into, coming here is totally worth it!!! This is a Eastern European pork store, with a focus on German/Swiss. They have tons of sausages made fresh daily. They also have tons of salamis, and many many other items. They sell many imported items from the old country haha! So you will see things like Soap and other non food items like that sold here. During the Christmas season, they sell all types of chocolates and candies imported from Germany, as well as stollen and so many other Christmas goodies! I have always found the staff to be friendly, and very helpful. They also give you samples if you ask. If you are looking for a unique special type of German sausage, I would call ahead and ask if they sell it, some of the ones that I grew up eating, they sadly don't sell... But I would like to sing the praises of their Bratwursts! Not only are they HUGE, but they have a fantastic flavor! They also freeze pretty well. Personally, I am used to a reallllllly super fine laeberkase, and theirs is decently coarse. I am not the biggest fan of it, but others sing its praises! Don't base it on my personal preference! I'm so glad I finally stopped in here. The food is great. They have a lot of prepared food as well as house-made cold cuts and meats. Their pastrami is delicious. The potato pancakes are small and manageable, not those huge hubcap style pancakes like you get it some other places. This store has excellent quality and the meats are top-notch. Their sausages are so well-made. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. It's hard to find a good butcher but this place fits the bill. This is a long story, but (spoilers) these were the best sausages I've ever eaten. As a mix of Polish and Portuguese, I grew up around kielbasa and linguica. And I have always been a sucker for all sausages with the "Jimmy Dean" label. At breakfast buffets in hotels around the world, I always made space for some of the locals versions on my plate. And no trip to a beer garden (sorry, "Biergarten") was complete without a few links of bratwurst. I figured I was pretty familiar with the world of sausage. Friends had recommended Swiss Pork Store, but I had figured, "sausage is already delicious, how much better could it be?" I had driven past this strip mall hundreds of times (my son goes to the amazing Kokushi kai Judo Academy a few doors down) and had never noticed the sign to Swiss Pork Store. This week, their sign caught my eye. I had some time to kill before my son's judo class was over so I walked to Swiss Pork Store. I was immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman behind the counter who said, "we're closed, but take your time." (they closed at 6 that fateful day and it was 6:01 pm). The display case (as shown in a lot of the Yelp photos) had an imposing array of different sausage types. I didn't know what most of them were. I asked a few dumb questions and the gentleman was very accomodating. I picked three different kinds (bratwurst, lamb sausage and I think "Oktoberwurst"?) and grabbed a jar of sauerkraut. I texted my wife that I was bringing home some sausage (come on, let's keep it clean) and she said she was already cooking some (Aidells chicken & apple). The Aidells is pretty good. The Swiss Pork Store sausage was going to have to wait. The next day, my wife cooked up all three kinds I bought. Cooked, they all looked pretty similar so I had no idea which one I was digging into. I cut into the first one with my fork and the skin gave way with a little pressure with a mild snap. The fork smoothly cut through the meat and the other side of the skin. None of the drama of a lot of sausage skins. I took a bite and it was incredibly flavorful. The texture was amazingly smooth. No big fat chunks to chew through. It was absolutely brilliant. There was so much flavor, I said to my wife it must be the lamb, but they had cut back the gaminess of the lamb. I took a bite of the second sausage and had a blast of "lambiness." Not gamey or overwhelming, but enough to make me realize the previous one was probably the "Oktoberwurst." The texture was equally smooth and overall, absolutely delicious. I'm a huge fan of lamb, and this was the best sausage I've ever eaten. The third sausage was clearly bratwurst. It also had the amazing texture of the first two, but the flavor profile was much more familiar. It was the best bratwurst I've ever had. I'm about to go finish it off since I couldn't eat all three sausages in one sitting and I'm writing this a few hours later. Overall, I'm a fan for life. I can't wait to try everything they have available. I thought I knew sausage and how good it could get. I was wrong. Swiss Pork Store raised the bar. read more

This establishment does not deserve your business. We ordered a whole pig for Christmas Eve 5 days before, spoke to two different people on the phone, agreed to the cost and left a phone number in the event there was an issue. The pick up date was discussed and either the 23 or 24 of December was fine with the store. On December 23 we went to pick up the order and we were told that they did not have an order for a whole pig nor did they have one on hand to sell us. Upon further questioning they admitted that they did receive an order for the pig but that it was too close to Christmas to fulfill. They never bothered to contact us and they didn't seem to care that we were left with nothing to cook!! Their attitude and lack of professionalism were disgraceful and disgusting. This place is usually 5 stars however this time i planned to write a review on going since they been super consistent and awesome, i didnt have my usual wonderful experience...i think i may have gotten someone new and i do not want to be mean, but the new guy who took my order dropped the ball a bit....couldn't remember any of my orders, was putting RAW MEAT into my bag not wrapped until i asked him to cover it to separate it from my other products, forgot to include an item in my order, then said he initially couldnt because it was under the $10 minimum alone. I actually had to come back today because the line was out the door into the oarking lot on my first arrival which was a bit of a headache as well. I know theyre busy but they need to supervise and assist their newer employees better.
