We had an overall positive experience with Adam's Pool company. We were working as the general contractor between Adam's Pool and our homeowner client in completing a pool renovation. Adam's pool was good about identifying a lot of the potential issues we might run into along the way (discovering plumbing/wiring issues that are improper and would need to be replaced to pass inspection). Sergio, our supervisor, was very communicative and proactive, and worked will with our sales person and the scheduler. In some ways I feel like they went above and beyond to be sure that we had all of our questions answered and needs taken care of. My notes for someone going into work with any pool remodeler would be to ask your salesperson if there are any potential unforeseen costs, consider those, and ensure to dial in any design details prior to signing so that there's enough time to ensure that everyone is on the same page about what is to be priced and built. Also, I'd advise you to have them include the costs of any elements required to be present at time of final inspection. Anything they can do for you won't save you money but will make the whole thing go more smoothly. Finally, I'd encourage you to be proactive in your communication with your supervisor, salesperson, and the office. If you follow their clear process, everything should go very smoothly. We started our pool project in November 2023 and finished in mid-May 2024. We had a complete resurface, masonry coping, new equipment, and a gunite spa installed inside our existing pool. First point of contact: Todd P. was our salesperson. He was very personable and seemed to know what he was talking about. As the project progressed, he handled several matters that came up and were brought to his attention with efficiency and speed. Everytime we needed to get in touch or had a question Todd would be there and if he wasn't I knew that I would hear from him within 24 hours! Another thing that we appreciated was his ability to listen and problem-solve. Working customer service is hard and Todd does it well. Thank you so much, Todd! While the project was underway: Communication was shoddy at best. Noreen, the secretary, did not do a good job communicating when crews would be on site, which led to miscommunication and doors being left open only for crews not to arrive or me not being home to open the back door. At the tail end, and I mean literally, the last two communications were timely. On-site Supervisor(s): So, our supervisors were changed three times throughout our project. The last change was a gem. Miguel S. did an excellent job answering questions, getting things done, and being punctual. He would call me back when he said he would show up when he said he would, and always make sure that when there was a change, he would let me know well ahead of time. Miguel always made the extra effort to make sure things were moving along. Miguel always went the extra mile to make sure every question was answered. Thank you so much, Miguel!! Working crews were always respectful, and kind and did great work! Shortly after the first few weeks of using our pool, our Pentair actuator stopped working. This was a seamless fix that Fatima in the warranty department was able to address quickly! Shortly after this we realized that the pool was loosing water. We again had to get in touch with the warranty department, Fatima handled our problem effectively by scheduling a leak detection tech to come out within a two day window. We found that the return line was leaking. It was a bigger fix than we anticipated as we had to get brand new return pipes installed. Overall, like any complex project, we faced challenges, but they were handled professionally and promptly. We would definitely choose Adams again for future projects. read more

If you get one person to project manage it, it would be Manny Torres. He communicated clearly each step of the way and was honest and transparent. I also worked with Lauren Rivera and she too was one class act on all things related to billing or client relations. The bid was inline with others. The one thing that stands out is that I had a small issue recently with a jet plug that we reused, months after construction. Adams Pool came out right away and fixed it. The customer service has been off the charts, any question, request or change has been immediately replied to, and taken care of. We had one small chip in the stone surrounding the pool and two people were out replacing the stone the very next day. I had an extremely negative experience with Adam's Pool Solution Company. From the moment I signed the contract for their services, communication became a major issue. The craftsmanship of their work was subpar, particularly when it came to the tile and stone. There were noticeable issues such as uneven tile lines and holes in the grout, which required them to reluctantly come back and make repairs. During the demolition process, they broke the skimmer box with their air chisels, despite initially assuring us that our skimmer box was in good condition during inspection. To make matters worse, they then had the audacity to charge us for the installation and cost of a new one, which set us back thousands of dollars. The so-called "field supervisor" assigned to our project was almost impossible to reach and only present on site once. After the demolition, we never saw him again. When the tile and stone were installed there was no work done for 2 weeks. I finally got ahold of the supervisor and he informed me that we actually had a new field supervisor who should have been in contact with us. This new supervisor (who I ended up having to call and track down and had no idea he was our new field supervisor) also only showed up once to this job site. When we signed the contract in April, we were promised that the pool demolition would start in June and be completed by the beginning of July. However, there was zero communication from the company and they ignored all attempts at contact to schedule a demolition date. Finally, in June, we were able to get in touch with them, only to be told that the demo would begin in July and the pool would be finished by August. Since we wanted to use the pool during the summer, we reluctantly booked a demolition date for October. To our dismay, the entire job took over two months, starting October 3rd and finally being plastered December 9th. For full transparency of this review, we decided mid project to fix the return lines jets, but they quoted us an exorbitant price of 3-4 thousand dollars to repair, which we opted out of doing and I ended up fixing myself. The return line fiasco may have caused a minor delay of about a week, but even without that setback, Adam's Pool Company took well over two months to complete the project, despite promising it would only take one month. This company provided horrendous service, displayed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction, and exhibited an alarming lack of attention to detail. They are overpriced, unresponsive, and I strongly advise against hiring them for your pool construction needs. read more

I have been trying to reach the warranty department since July 3. It is now the 17th. I have left three messages, and nothing. They did a half/a$$ plumbing job on my pool renovation. I was so anxious for the whole ordeal to be over with so I signed off on the work. But here we are, and it turns out having return valves on more than just one side of a 28,000 gal pool is kind of important. Especially since there are only 4 return valves and one is literally half covered because it is IN the steps to the pool. Not intentionally- that's not a design.... it's because they didn't measure properly. Furthermore, the pool was out of level when they completed the project, but they said, "within 3 inches is industry standard." Yeah, Im betting that is NOT the "industry standard" upon completion. I was so worn down after the work and tired of fighting, so I let a lot go. Don't make the same mistake as me- I'm paying for it now (2 years later) with more frustration. read more

I am happy to recommend Adams Pool Solutions. I'm president of an HOA in Los Gatos and we contracted with Adams to refinish our pool in winter 2025. It's not a big lap pool, but it's much bigger than a typical backyard pool. We got several bids and Adams was very competitive. They did a great job distinguishing between all the things we could do and things we had to do. Because of the specialized equipment they have, they were able to do the job in less time, with less noise and mess. We had to stop and start work because of other projects we were doing that interfered with their work. I know it was inconvenient for them, but they were just super flexible and accommodated all of my crazy requests. Manny, the project manager, was excellent. He called and texted to keep me posted with updates throughout the project. He had to coordinate inspections with the town and the county and everything went off without a hitch. We also encountered some issues with some ancient plumbing and valves that he was able to figure a way around with no additional expense. The new pool looks great. I've worked with Adams Pool about 7 years ago for my old house and last year I moved to a new house with another big old pool, so I decided to give Adams pool a try since I love my salesman Mike a lot. Clearly Adams Pool has become so much better after years and this time it greatly exceeded my expectation throughout the process. Let me begin with my special thanks to my project manager, Curtis, who has been super informative and on top of every detail. He kept everything well organized and always made sure crews are on schedule. He really cares about me and the project and just like your buddy who is always ready to help. I also feel extremely lucky that I went with Adams Pool, because, as it turned out at the beginning the resurface, I have serious ground water issue, because my house is near sea level. Ground water started to shooting up the moment we drilled the hydrostatic relief hole. I was super panic, but luckily the company has years of experience dealing with that situation. Curtis reassured me and helped sent their most experienced engineers, Hossein and Jesus, and their fantastic crews. They talked to me in person, patiently, explaining their established detailed procedure on how they deal with such situations. I'm just so impressed by how they engineered the solution and the end result is fantastic. Amazing Service! In San Jose and the rain shorted out our pool cover. The pool cover company came out and could not fix it. Got a recommendation to call Adams Pool and I could not be happier! Todd Pickett, the Head Designer, organized a review inspection with Jaime, the Head Plumber, to give me an estimate on what was needed to fix it. They came out solved the problem that day. They tested, retested and then told me the one small finishing touch that I could do easily myself versus spending $ to do it. The charge....$0.00. What was equally as impressive was the clear communication and expectations that Todd set up. When I explained my problem, he clearly understood and repeated it back to me. He arrived as planned. Since he was there, I asked him to inspect the pool. He could have tried to sell me on something but he came back with telling me the pool is in great shape and that if I ever needed something he would appreciate a call. ABSOLUTELY! Our pool had a leak and exfoliating plaster, both of which were repaired expertly and with dispatch. Greg Adams was extremely helpful, especially in accommodating our special circumstances (the work had to be done while we were out-of-town). He personally monitored the re-filling of the pool and coordinated the after-care with our pool maintenance company. Greg and the onsite work coordinator, Miguel Sanchez, were also extremely good at helping us decide on the scope of the work both before and during the process. They are very knowledgeable. They explained options fully and and clearly, and did not try to push us into doing more than we needed to have done. Nithzia Flores sent us nearly daily emails alerting us precisely what was going to happen on the following day. The pool now looks beautiful. We are very satisfied. read more

First, I'd say that I'm very satisfied with the pool. However, the journey getting to this point wasn't the most pleasant experience, which is why it falls well short of 5 stars and I'm only giving it 3. First the good: Santiago was our 2nd site supervisor and he was excellent. Very responsive to our questions and just an overall nice and approachable guy. I had no issues with him. I'd probably add a star to my rating if he was our site supervisor the entire time, but he wasn't. Craig the salesperson also put in a lot of effort to make sure that my wife and I were satisfied. I found him anxious at times, but he did step in to help for the most of the project, especially when we had issues with our 1st site supervisor. Now for the bad. The project took 4 months to complete whereas the initial estimate was 4-5 weeks. Our project coordinator, Nithzia, didn't seem to know what she was doing and at times was hard to reach. She was never able or really available to answer any of our questions and eventually we just went around her and contacted Craig or our site supervisor. The most glaring example was when we had to wait 3 weeks for her to schedule the pre-plaster inspection. She made it appear as if she was waiting to hear back from the city and they were unresponsive. I eventually got tired of waiting and called City Hall myself - got a response immediately, then relayed this to Nithzia, and somehow, she was able to schedule an inspection right then after all that time. However, on the day of the inspection, no one from Adam's showed up and we had to reschedule 2 days later, when they finally showed up. I saw how EASY it was to schedule inspections after having to do them myself- the schedule was wide open with spots usually available the next day, NOT 3 weeks. If she had simply followed up on the calls or emails she said she made, we wouldn't have had to wait that long. I don't think she will jeopardize the project but you have to know how to work around her. Orlando was our 1st site supervisor. PLEASE AVOID HIM IF YOU CAN. He was hard to reach at times, had a bad attitude, and was just hard to trust. During the site visit, he identified a list of modifications we needed to do to our pool equipment. He said that Adams would make those modifications for $4600, but he knew a guy that could do them for half. I had him write a list of those modifications, called the local pool technician, who did those AND added a GFCI for our pump (which we needed AND Orlando missed) for $560. Orlando would never hesitate to tell us what WE needed to do, regardless of the cost, and would miss things himself. An instance of his attitude, instance is when Adam's dug up trenches to change the pool plumbing. I asked when Adams would backfill the trenches and continue with the project. Orlando just responded with a copy of the agreement that stated no backfill in small print. No, "sorry for miscommunication" as this isn't something we should have been expected to know but rather "it's in the contract." Also, we wanted to check the spa plumbing as well. I wanted to ask Orlando if we can just check the spa plumbing to see if we needed to fix that too. Up to that point, I had been communicating directly with Orlando, but he went MIA. I reached out to Craig, who then was able to relay the question to Orlando. And surely enough, orlando recommended the more expensive option of just changing the spa pipes too. Then when he answered, it was with a smug "do you have any more questions to ask?" There was no accountability for his communication shortcomings. Lastly, he also came over to identify the grounding wires we needed to pass predeck inspection. He definitely knew about the predeck inspection because he badgered us numerous times about the safety measures(gates, alarms, etc) we needed to pass inspection. But after all his badgering, the inspector cared about seeing 4 grounding wires that Orlando never communicated about. Neither he nor his crew marked the grounding wires they put in and he had to dig the 4th one out. He messed up the work that our predeck contractor did, was obviously frustrated that he messed up but couldn't take fault for it and stormed off the project when my wife insisted he fix it. This is when we changed to Santiago. I never personally met Orlando and my wife only saw him 2-3 times. The company will insist he came over more times, but this grounding wire episode is an example of bad communication and not having full knowledge of the inspection process. He didn't articulate when and if he came over and he was hard to reach. His communication made it appear he was managing the project remotely. He never took ownership of even the scheduling of parts of the project. Santiago had a better grasp of them. Please avoid Orlando if you can. So, I can confirm that Adams will do a good job, but they have personnel that can make the whole experience very difficult. read more

Our company had a very negative experience working with this Adams Pool Solutions. We had multiple change orders once the plaster was removed. They stopped the work due to an accounting issue which delayed the process by several months. They are very bad at communicating especially after the final inspection. I have been trying to get ahold of Fatima from the warranty department for several months now due to the autofill not working on the pool and she does not answer the phone or return voicemails. I am having to manually fill the pool every couple days due to this. One of the pool lights that was working when they started the project is no longer working and they don't want to take any responsibility for it. After 22 years, it was time to resurface our pool and spa. We chose Adams Pool Solutions after researching several companies, specifically because we liked their Pebble Plus surface and the confidence provided by their 10-year warranty. The entire process was well-managed: we had a scheduler and a dedicated project manager who kept us informed and answered all our questions. The work was efficient--the old surface was hydro-blasted in a day. We used this opportunity to address a few structural issues, including a skimmer replacement and spa repair due to leaks. Adams Pool's plumbing and masonry crews did an excellent job, completing all the repairs and rebuilds in a single day. The plastering followed quickly, also finished in one day. While an external pipe leak detection caused a slight delay (outside of Adams' control), the final result is beautiful! We are very happy with the finish and the overall clear communication from Adams Pool Solutions. We would absolutely contact them again for future pool projects. read more

I inherited adam's pool from corby's pool company. Since the beginning of my pool project , I repeatedly told this pool company that i am simultaneously doing this project with a guest house and paver construction. They need to notify me and coordinate with the other contractors (and me) on any communication or any task that needs to be completed with each milestone. Long story short, throughout the whole process, the weren't proactive in the communication, and when they did contact me the communication was perfunctory and didn't provide the necessary details. Also every time when I needed to talk to someone, they would assign a new project manager to me. So guess what happened at the end of construction, all sorts of disasters happened. First they forgot to inform the paver company and myself that a new drainage system is needed for the pool overflow which required both trenching and a new drainage pit. Furthermore, more pipes were unexpectedly broken due to unclear communication and hand-offs, there was also unexplained water leaks, Last but not least they forgot to tell me from the beginning that a vent system needs to be installed with the heater they installed in the brand new pool house. I have shown them the drawing numerous times from the beginning and asked them I need to rep prepare any of the needed modifications for the interior/exterior. As each new problem emerged, guess what , they would not take any responsibility and just kept blaming the Paver company, the drainage people , but not acknowledging their role in integrated execution. Furthermore they insisted that i need to pay off the remaining balance even though the vent system is not yet installed after significant delay. The equipment was installed by them and requires the venting to pass code and they were of no help finding a contractor to help install this. Given they were the ones who installed the equipment and this is a well known requirement for safe operation, they should be able to help. Otherwise no one can determine if the equipment is properly installed and operating. They refused to help in any way. So I ended up paying close to another 10k for all the unspecified problems, all of which could have been avoided by clear communication and coordination. The result is the costs were significantly more than quoted and planned. Overall, this pool company has been a nightmare. I've already paid the whole balance and with no hot tub operating, nor venting installed for pool heating. So don't use them! read more

We chose Adams Pools to resurface our 25-year-old PebbleTec pool, this time with PebbleSheen. We had some worries about our beach entry, since no one would surface all the way up the beach entry with PebbleTec any more (and yes, for good cause -- we did incur some cracking on the exposed PebbleTec after some years.) Our Adams sales rep, Todd, hosted our visit to their showroom where we could see what a beach entry looks like with flagstone installed down into the waterline. So that is what we did, we went with a flagstone entry into the beach waterline, and we are very happy with the result. Adams' masons did a wonderful job and accommodated our request for some stone placement. We had tile added along the water edge, and new skimmers and a new autofill as well. Our field supervisor Jose was super communicative and extremely helpful along the whole project. Each phase of the remodel had a different crew, each with a team that worked well together and were courteous and professional, and left the work area clean. Any issue was addressed promptly. I think it is easy to underestimate the advantages of having the all of the personnel under one umbrella. I think it makes a big difference. Scheduling was smooth and communication was streamlined. The company has a very high employee retention -- many have been with the company for quite a number of years. Adams has their own department to handle permit and inspections, and I am pretty sure Adams' good reputation helps with those processes. Adam's Pool plastered the pool a the apartment complex I manage. The project began in November and the pool fully opened in July. I only came into the property in April so there was a lot done that I am not fully aware of, but in April, the project was entering the masonry phase. I talked to a couple of people over the course of the remainder of the project. The project manager was Orlando, but I didn't have a whole lot of interaction with him that I can remember. I didn't have any negative interactions, just nothing overwhelming. BUT the main point of contact for me was the project coordinator Nithzia Flores who was AMAZING!!! If I ever wanted an update on the status or had questions about the work she was ready to answer it or connect me with anyone I needed. There were points where I was concerned about the pool being finished before the beginning of summer, and she was always open to hearing me out, and did everything she could to make it happen for me. Although it was not finished until early July, she did everything she could to coordinate with her team and the city. When work was happening on site, each of the crews performed well, and I had positive interactions with them. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is only because of the overall duration, but that was normally due to other factors like city responsiveness and the availability of the various departments. Choosing Adams Pool Solutions was the best decision I could have made for my pool resurface! Gary was my first contact for initial proposal. He has a wonderful style in working with people. He helped accommodate our vision with experience and patience, but without aggressive sales tactics. Orlando was our project manager. He was a standout in every aspect! He is competent, knowledgeable, experienced, fair and very patient in dealing with the various issues that present themselves. Nithzia helped coordinate our project. She, also, was wonderful. This was the second time Adams had resurfaced our pool. Technology has improved and the efficiency of the employees has also improved in the 20+ years that have passed. The site was always protected from damage and debris and kept clean during each phase unlike our first experience. We are happy with the outcome. Our complaints would be that once the job was sold we never heard from the salesperson with one exception and that is when I sent a text looking for the site supervisor who was not responding to calls or texts. A full mailbox is not a good sign. Our assigned supervisor was not the best at communication and often appeared unaware of changes in scheduling and was also poor at relaying the technical aspects of the additional work that needed to be done. Depending on your project Adams utilizes specific crews for each step in the process. That is a lot of folks. We found all employees to be efficient and respectful. In addition this is where we were pleasantly schooled on the specifics of the process. We would recommend Adams but as with all construction projects be prepared for a few hiccups. read more

The Skyview Board met with your representative on March 25th to discuss the pool resurfacing project. We emphasized the importance of opening the pool by Memorial Day, May 31st. Adams dragged their feet during the resurfacing and seemed to put us last on their project list agenda. The pool passed final inspection on the last week of July, so the project is 2 months behind our scheduled opening date. Our homeowners are not happy. read more

When my pool plaster needed replacement, I contacted 3 companies and got quotes. The best quote came from Adams Pool Solutions, and I found out that they had just done a great job on one of my neighbor's pools so I contracted with them for a new pebble plaster finish along with other upgrades to my pool. We set a date to start a couple of months in the future per my request and they kept in touch, assigning a project manager, Nithzia Flores, and a field supervisor, Miguel Sanchez. I met with Miguel a few weeks prior to the start of work and went over all the details for access, my questions, and concerns. From then on Miguel did an excellent job staying in touch with me and answering my calls or calling me back within minutes. I told him it was important to me to get the project competed as quickly as possible after the start of work because we were doing the work in the summer. Miguel called and offered to start the work a week or so sooner than expected and I approved. From then on, we communicated regularly so that I knew when workers would be on site and what they would be doing. I was amazed at the quality of the workers on site who arrived as expected, got the work done, and cleaned up as planned. The contract had allowed for 6 weeks to complete the work and Miguel got it done in a little over 2 weeks. I have over 30 years of experience in construction project management, and I must say that this organization performed far beyond my expectations. I wish I could give the company a 5, but I can't. Jose the Project Mgr. and Lauren in the office were WONDERFUL to work with. Professional, responsive, patient and knowledgeable. However, the sales guy Greg, a different story. He did not tell us the upfront issues that we'd have regarding passing inspections. After the pool was demo' d we found out that we needed to call a fencing company to redo our entry gate to pull out instead of push in, so that we could pass inspection. A MAJOR $600 added cost that we were not informed of before deciding to resurface the pool because codes where updated since the house was built. Also, there were certain alarms needed to pass inspection; again was not informed upfront. It's unfortunate because Jose, the PM took the heat from us not being informed upfront. Our pool, however does looks beautiful and Jose and Lauren are top notch. Jose should be a sales person, he is THAT GUY!! Stay away from Greg or you will find out when it's too late what is needed to pass inspections. read more
