We drove to the O'Reilly's down the street and were immediately helped, and drove right past the advance auto, probably faster than we would have been helped if we had stayed. The parking lot was empty, most likely because of the poor customer service. BTW, O'Reilly's had a full parking lot, and 3 people being helped at the counter, and we still had someone help us right away. Most likely not going to bother shopping here again. There's 3 other auto parts stores within a mile or so. Id give them zero starts if it were an option.

The kicker, I purchased a Toyota Care premium wrap coverage when I bought my car 3 years ago from another dealer, and the contract says to go to the dealer of purchase. Luckily, the folks I talked to on the phone were chill, looked up my car, and said it was totally fine for them to take a peep. Brandon got me checked in on the morning of service, and he estimated I'd be done in about an hour or less. I made my way to the waiting area and was actually surprised to see how well they'd set it up for folks. There's a good amount of chairs with a TV, and then a little nook with an L-shape table for those of us on the clock who need a spot to post up and work. They even had a convenience corner with a self-serve kiosk to buy snacks/drinks. I was, in fact, done in just under an hour since my car only needed a tire rotation and standard look over for the 35k mile mark (and at no cost). Admittedly, I was nervous to bring my car in after reading a few not-so-great reviews from other folks here, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Glad it worked out!

Going through box after box of "stuff" accumulated over the years we spotted a toy that we usually display. Opening the battery compartment I was dismayed to see batteries from "I don't know when" still installed. Needless to say, not only they were dead but there was that white crusty gunk on the contacts. Out to the garage I grabbed my trusty can of contact cleaner and found that it was as dry as those batteries. Rather than disappoint our granddaughter with a lifeless Santa, I drove the single mile to our neighborhood NAPA store. While I did learn that my original cans price tag promised many years of inflation, the replacement was still affordable. Back home I sprayed and rubbed the connections, installed new batteries, and Santa came to life! Storing the new can of contact cleaner next to a nine year old tube of dielectric grease, I thanked my lucky stars that reasonably priced help was right around the corner. It is really nice having support for stuff you rarely use handy for that unexpected emergency when it hits.
