The 6 man crew that came to help move my furniture & piano were efficient, extremely careful, & very friendly. I have moved over a half dozen times in my lifetime & they were by far the best moving company I have dealt with. There cost was also very reasonable. I lived in my previous residence for a year. When I moved out this past August, Adamski/Lloyd Moving was slightly less than what I paid for a 3 man moving crew last year. I highly recommend using this company. The guys from Adamski/Lloyd were great. We asked them to move a piano for us. They were affordable (definitely not the least expensive, but also not the most) and they came recommended by a piano tuner. They charged a flat rate of $233 for moving the upright piano. It took them about 1 hour total. They sent 3 guys who were very nice. The driver who introduced himself was named Sam. They got right to work and worked well as a team. We had originally planned to back the truck up to the back door but bc the lawn was wet from days of rain they weren't able to do that and they got the plywood out straight away and moved it out & over quite a bit of lawn that way. It was very interesting watching the process and they were sure to protect everything carefully. We would definitely use them again. Joe at the office was also very responsive and gave us a heads up when the truck left the office so we would be sure to be on site at the correct time. read more

I never write reviews, but wanted to because of how fabulous and kind the movers from Adamski/Lloyd were in the moves they did for me. First, they moved me in-town in Rochester two years ago. They were so quick and efficient. The full move took under three hours (from apartment to apartment)! I was shocked at how quickly they did everything. Next, I moved from my apartment to a POD and they picked up a couch for me. Everything only took 2.75 hours and I had accumulated a lot over the years. The night before I didn't think everything would fit in the POD, but when they got there (on time!), they assured me that everything would fit in the POD. Tony, Dan, and Jeremiah were so nice whenever I had a question, they treated us very kindly and professionally. Their rates are great, too. What a disappointment. When my mother died in Rochester I needed a mover and a place to store her furniture and other effects until we could decide on distribution to relatives. A/L did a great job of getting the initial moving job done. However, when we got to distribution of the other items, things broke down. Locally they were fine, but in particular, it took them about a year to ship a table to New Hampshire, and over about a 2-year they proved unable to ship a desk from Rochester to Virginia. I had to finally tell them to trash it, as it had only sentimental value. For a company with "Moving" in its name, this was unexpected. All communication regarding shipping dates had to be initiated by me - no updates unless I asked. Nice guys, but not particularly competent. read more

I've never hired movers before. These folks were GREAT!!! I was given an estimate but the final bill was cheaper than planned!! They gave me an estimated start time and arrived early. Professional, efficient, and personal. Willing to move whatever we wanted and would ask where to put things. Even removed things they didn't fit as originally intended. We moved from the southern tier of NYS to the Rochester area. This move had been planned for months, but still the rains came! It rained all day and the three incredible guys from Adamski/Lloyd Moving and Storage stayed positive and kept up the pace. Our King-size mattress got a bit damp in the move, but that was the only casualty and we can only blame Mother Nature. (That mattress alone was the reason I decided to hire a company to move us!) We needed a "partial load" delivered from Rochester NY to N. Carolina. We were told it would be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks, 6 weeks at most. 109 days later we finally got our furniture (almost 17 weeks ). We called and were constantly told, anytime now, and were put off by them. On a $2000 bill they took 5% off the final amount. I felt it should be more but was too exasperated to argue with them one more time. Do NOT use these people for a non local move. Customer service is non existent, more or less a "we don't really care" attitude, we have your deposit and we have your furniture and you can't do much about it" ... read more

Relocated from Rochester, NY to Savannah, GA November 30, 2012. Had my Goods picked up on November 28th. Received possessions on December 8th. Found box with books & my set of China missing. Called company 2 days later, was told to keep looking, which I did to discover even more boxes missing. Asked mover to search for my items because I did not want to see them being sold on Craig's List. He said "that would be a good place for me to start looking!" I've contacted every agency I could think of to advocate on my behalf. I've contacted an Attorney, placed ads in Rochester newspapers & contacted agencies that suppossedly monitors movers. Sad to say, there is no one out there. In the space of 12 days, how many customers could they have had? Went on-line, my set of China is no longer available. In my opinion They have not exhausted all their efforts to retrieve & return my possessions. Who has my stuff! Why can't you contact your customers and say there has been a mistake? read more

Great local (and I think family owned company). Someone either answered the phone right away during business hours or called back within 15 minutes of the message. Always very nice on the phone, patient, and flexible. We used their storage container service this summer for our RIT student to store his apartment furniture. Unlike the mobile box company we used the previous year I knew when the box was going to arrive, we could call for pick up when we were ready instead of the other company that just automatically came back in 48 hours to pick up, and the same was true for when I schedule the return. Because they are a local company I knew where the box was, who to call, and felt secure with them. Prices are competitive with other companies and was a better option than renting a truck and driving everything to a storage facility. We plan on using them again in the future and will recommend them to other students. read more

I used Adamski Lloyd to move from Rochester to the Bronx. I kept my things in storage with them until I finalized my apartment in the Bronx. After one month, I asked them how much it would cost for them to bring my things to my new place and they said it would be over $2,000. I told them no thank you; I will just get a U-haul truck and move it myself. When I came to pick everything up I noticed that one of my storage bins was filled with mice droppings. It just happened to be the bin with my bedroom furniture in it. It smelled gross. The box springs had mice droppings in them. I had to leave them there for the trash. My expensive, top-of-the-line mattresses were bitten around the edges. I spoke with the manager and he said that he left the storage bin outside for about a month prior to bringing it into the warehouse. Needless to say, my bedroom furniture is damaged. I had to purchase new mattresses and boxsprings. My headboard looks like it has water damaged. And I can not afford to replace it. I am totally disappointed in the level of service I received from this company. It is unacceptable! I would not recommend them to anyone else. read more
