Adana was a regular for us whenever we had a craving for Mediterranean food. We were disappointed when it closed for a couple years, seemingly to remodel. We went there for their reopening tonight and were pleasantly surprised! The food came out quickly, well seasoned and tastefully presented. My4 lamb chops came with the bone, and they were spectacularly seasoned and tender and not at all gamey. We also ordered the barg, chicken and beef looleh kababs and the falafel plate, all deliciously prepared and presented! We are so glad that Adana is back! It is now beautifully decorated, brightly lit and customer service is top notch! What a wonderful treat to have you back in the Burbank/Glendale area! We will definitely be back!

Reopened after renovation and amazing! Located in Glendale on the border of Burbank, this standalone restaurant is a must visit. It's new modern chic decor (including a new full bar) and relaxed and social vibe create a welcoming atmosphere. On the date and time of my visit, parking was easy. Adana has a small parking lot and ample street parking. I dined here with a large group on an early Sunday evening. The restaurant was busy, but seating was readily available. When I arrived, several of my group were already seated with the menu. The menu had many new items since my last visit which was many years ago. As a vegetarian, I was impressed by the many options I had to choose from. Our table ordered several items and loved them all. The appearance, textures and flavors of each dish was outstanding. And the portions were generous. The standouts were the Lamb Chops Kabob, the Chicken Breast Kabob, the Vospov Soup (lentil soup), the Dolma (probably the best Dolma I've ever had), the Salmon Filet, the Spicy Potatoes and the Oyster Mushrooms. Service was wonderful. Our server was pleasant, friendly and helpful, as were all of the other employees. The two restrooms (women and unisex) were in good working order and clean. As for pricing, Adana received the Bib Gourmand award from the MICHELIN Guide and was honored as a restaurant serving high-quality food at a great, affordable value. If you haven't already visited, you are missing out. If you have, you're probably going back. :)

Food is still excellent, happy to report. The hardest part is finding the right door. There are three doors and like many, one gravitates to the one in the middle. The door closest to the parking lot is the one that opens. The remodeled space is warm and inviting. The prices are higher, as expected in today's economy. Started out with our favorites - hummus, koobideh and the honey cake. We will be back.

I made a reservation a month in advance for a party of ten on a Tuesday evening to celebrate my engagement with my fiancée, and we are so grateful to the entire team at Adana Restaurant for helping make the occasion so special. The hostesses were incredibly warm and accommodating. My fiancée and I arrived later than expected, but the staff had no issue with starting our dinner a little later and made us feel completely at ease. It was especially meaningful to have both of our families together--my family speaking Russian and my fiancée's family speaking Farsi--and we all enjoyed sharing and experiencing the dishes together. The food was excellent. The chicken breast and thigh kebabs were juicy and flavorful, and the beef koobideh was delicious. The pita bread was exceptionally fresh. We also enjoyed the chicken pelmeni and beef blinchiki, which were a wonderful addition to the meal. The atmosphere was another highlight. The restaurant is clean, quiet, and polished, and it was the perfect setting for such an important occasion. We had dressed up for the evening, and the restaurant's atmosphere matched the occasion perfectly without feeling overly formal. From the hospitality to the food and atmosphere, Adana was exactly what we hoped for when celebrating such a meaningful moment with our families. We will definitely be back!

This place is amazing!!! They were closed for renovations but are now open (as of June 2026)!! This was the BEST lamb I've ever had. The cherry rice is top tier so is the orange rice!!! They bake all the bread in their new wood fire overnight and the staff is so so so nice. Great all around.

But it is without question the most important Armenian restaurant in the world. Armenians are simultaneously a diaspora people, a people of the book, and an old country people. Therefore, odd as it may seem, it is entirely appropriate that the most important Armenian restaurant in the world should not be located in Armenia at all, but should serve a diaspora community in a way that makes them feel connected to home, both interns of cuisine and in terms of communal warmth. Technically, this is more of a Lebanese restaurant than an Armenian restaurant, but that hardly matters. It's a place of celebration, merriment, laughter, and tears. In short, it is THE gathering place for Armenians in Southern California. Because of its fame and importance, the thing that is consistently overlooked about this restaurant is just how excellent the food is. Bring a Lebanese expat here and you will invariably hear them say after the first bite of hummus that it doesn't compare to the hummus they used to enjoy in Beirut. By the middle of the bowl, they will say that it actually is not as bad as they first thought. By the end of the bowl they will declare that this hummus ranks among the greatest they have ever tasted. Carousel does not overwhelm you. It seduces you. And you'll be back.

TLDR: Hear me out, if you have any doubt about chicken being less superior to beef or other meat. TRY the chicken thigh here. It makes justice for chickens (I still need to try their beef or lamb tho) I was running errands in Glendale today and I was starving and looking for lunch spots around. Turns out Mini Kabob was 3 mins walk away, it was a no brainer, my feet just took me there. Didn't expect to go there, so didn't order ahead but I'm fine with waiting. After last time's magnificent chicken thigh, I was determined to try their other entrees. However, Armen said the chicken thigh is the best seller out of their entrees- well, time for a round 2 I guess? This time I'm eating the entree at the spot and I just gotta say- IT SLAPS!! I'm genuinely not a big fan of chicken, because when you can choose beef why chicken? But this chicken is so juicy, so tender, so heavenly. Yummy!! The garlic sauce is great but the hummus and the fresh lavash, h o l y - f. Last time it was already so good even as a leftover, and eating it right at the spot is just transcending. I also tried their Armenian pear soda, it's delicious and refreshing with the heat right now in summer. I left with my tummy happy and their service is always great, they get busy but still no attitude, no bs, gives the right recommendations. Even this is like a take out restaurant, it still surpasses most of the kabob restaurant. Without doubt I'm coming back again after their break, please be there. I love you mini kabob

We actually went to another local spot that was closed so we re-routed here because it was the best looking option within 5 minutes of where we were. It's a small, clean shop with a counter to order. We got a lamb shawarma wrap, a chicken shawarma sandwich and a beef bowl along with a couple of lahmajun and a fresh baguette and baklava. Everything was excellent! The lamb was incredible, very tender and flavorful in a nice lavaosh. The chicken had great seasoning and the fresh bread was so good. Both were very large, like almost too much for one person. The bowl had pickles and great flavors. The lahmajun with cheese was my favorite but both were very good. The workers were friendly and helpful. Both dishes were cooked correctly, lots of flavor and presented well. The chicken was flavorful, and were good size pieces. The rice was very fluffy and had a nice flavor as well. The salad was basically just a salad. Not a lot to say about it. We were both full and happy when we were done with the meal.
