So cute !! every little detail was intentional!

Found this place accidentally and stopped by for a quick lunch on our way to an appointment and all I kept saying was " I can't wait to come back and try more of their food" !! one of the nicest, most aesthetic places I've ever been in this area - it literally feels like you're in Europe! There was a lot of twists to traditional Middle Eastern food, like the borek we always eat was literally grilled on skewers. I've been eating borek my whole life, and I never had it this way!! I know it sounds crazy, but I would come back here again for the borek alone! I also saw that they have a pistachio affogato on the menu that I can't stop thinking about so i'll definitely be back to update with a new review when I try their some of their other main dishes and desserts!

Absolutely loved our experience at Monna! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the entire dining experience even better. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The burrata salad was delicious, the crudo was incredibly fresh, and the tarragon salad is a must-try. The branzino was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also had the tomahawk ribeye with wild mushrooms, and the potatoes with chimichurri were amazing. The BBQ khachapuri was a great appetizer as well. You also can't go wrong with the boiled beef khinkali, and the kids absolutely loved the boiled pelmenis. Overall, every dish impressed us and we can't wait to come back. I've also heard their breakfast menu is fantastic, so that's next on our list!

Tried Monna for the first time with a few friends and had such a great experience overall. The food, service, and ambiance were all wonderful. We sat outside on their cute patio area, which made for a really nice dinner setting. We started with a couple of sides, the roasted potatoes and mushrooms, which were delicious and full of flavor. For mains, we shared the ribeye, salmon, and two different types of dumplings. I really appreciated how the menu reflects a variety of Armenian influences, from Persian Armenian to Russian Armenian to Lebanese Armenian, while also offering American favorites. My favorite item of the night was easily the boiled dumplings that came with yogurt on the side. They were so flavorful and the portion of 10 pieces was perfect for sharing. We also ended dinner with the honey cake, matcha latte, and cappuccino, all of which were delicious. I loved the thoughtful decor and Armenian touches throughout the restaurant, especially the rugs displayed on the walls. Would definitely recommend for a date night, dinner with friends, or even a private event since I believe they also have a private room available.

The food was great. Maybe slightly overpriced if you're just considering the food, but the ambiance is really worth it. The portions were modest, but the flavor was great! Id give the ambiance 11 out of 10. The sleek wooden chairs, the art work, the INCREDIBLE bathrooms, the bar, the fresh florals, the embroidered napkins, oh and my favorite, they brought me a little stand to set my purse on so I didn't have to fight with it falling off the chair! My kids were really excited when the staff brought them colored pencils with a sharpener that they could take home! Overall amazing experience. Definitely great for an elevated family dinner or a date night. Oh and the coffee, wow! Just wow! No words!

Surprisingly, this place is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The Caesar salad was exceptional, and the branzino was perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. The décor is unique and stunning, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Service, however, was inconsistent. We waited about 30-40 minutes before a server initially came to our table, yet toward the end, multiple servers stopped by asking the same questions, which became a bit frustrating. Overall, a great dining experience with room for improvement in service coordination.

came on a monday night w/ a party of 4, street parking was fairly easy to find from both cross streets. we were seated outside on the patio with great service from the employees! they were attentive & came to check on us often during our meal. we tried the japanese hamachi crudo, didn't taste the most fresh, nothing too fancy about it, but tasted as it should've. i got the ribeye steak cooked medium & it was super dry & lacked flavor. didn't taste as if there was any seasoning. i feel like it should've came with some sort of sauce! the drinks were great! we went with citrus forum & i really enjoyed it, not too strong

First time here. I came in with a friend on a Sunday around 1 pm and we were seated right away at a small table in the side room. The hostess mentioned they host a "DJ Breakfast" every other Sunday, which we didn't know beforehand. There was a live DJ playing, but the music was extremely loud and very club-style -- not quite what I'd expect from a family restaurant atmosphere. It made it difficult to have a conversation and felt a bit out of place for brunch. Our server offered flat or sparkling water (we chose flat) and took our order: two vanilla cloud hot coffees, the egg and tomato omelette, and the syrniki. The coffees arrived first but were already lukewarm. The timing of service was also off -- my syrniki came out first, then the water, and then my friend's omelette. It would've been nice for everything to arrive closer together. Unfortunately, no one checked back in on us, and we had to wait to try to get more water. Overall, the experience felt a bit disorganized. I'm willing to give this place another try because the concept is cute and the DJ brunch may just not have been for us -- but some adjustments to service flow and volume would definitely improve the experience.

This is the Monna. I've never had a dessert more delicious than this. Yummers!

I had to come back to Monna for something fabulous. I sat at my favorite table and started my meal with a sensational glass of Fableist. I have not tasted anything better. I included Beet Tartar and Tarragon Salad. The flavors and textures took me to a gustatory galaxy far, far away. I felt like star as my fork warred with the plate. No need for a light saber. Just ask for Gio. He directed me to this sumptuous meal. Man, oh man - that's some good eating right there. Before leaving, Gio twisted my arm to enjoy this dessert entitled the "Monna." Well, it didn't disappoint. They served it on a piece of brick! How's THAT for presentation?! Don't tell anybody (whisper) - I found myself eating the crumbs that fell on the tablecloth. Excellent to the core. Hold on, I hear the Star Wars Song playing in my head. All good things eventually come to an end. The food and drinks are all gone. After I finished my meal, I channeled my Michael Jackson and "moon walked" out the door. I will be back and contend that when you dine here, "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough."

I'm glad I finally found a contemporary stylish Georgian-American restaurant where I can relax and enjoy delicious food that is great for it's price. The interior is gorgeous, music is amazing and the service was above and beyond than I'd expect. Love it a lot, will come back with friends.

I would have to say that over all the years the food and service has always been consistent. We always have a large party of 15+ and the staff is always willing to accommodate us every time. I usually always order my staple coconut fried shrimp, always cooked to perfection and jumbo size is an understatement.. They are of gargantuan size and the entree includes around eight of them. These coupled with one of their signature Mai Tais and boom, I am in Hawaii! The ambiance of this place is so cool! The dim lighting, bamboo, vintage Polynesian decor, hanging canoes, glowing tiki lamps, aquarium, and old-school island soundtrack make this one of the coolest dining rooms in Los Angeles. It's nostalgic in the best way, and honestly, the atmosphere alone is worth experiencing once. It's easy to see why Damon's has become such a Glendale institution since 1937. Unfortunately, that's where the experience peaked for me. We started with the potato skins, which were fine--crispy enough, loaded with cheese and bacon--but they felt like something you'd find at Chili's or TGI Fridays. Good, just not memorable. The famous house salad was fresh, but again... nothing that really stood out. For entrees we ordered the Rib Cap and the Sirloin & Shrimp. The rib cap had decent flavor, but for a premium cut I expected more tenderness and a bigger wow factor. The sirloin was cooked properly, the shrimp were fine, and the sautéed spinach was actually one of the better parts of the meal. Overall though, nothing tasted bad--it just never rose above "solid chain steakhouse" quality. The cocktails were probably the biggest surprise. In a place built around tiki culture, I expected drinks that transported me. Instead they were just... okay. Perfectly drinkable, but lacking the punch and creativity you'd hope for from such an iconic tiki destination. Reading through other reviews afterward, it seems I'm not alone. Most people absolutely love Damon's for its atmosphere, history, and nostalgic charm, while opinions on the food tend to be much more mixed. Many longtime guests return because the experience is unique, even if the menu hasn't evolved much over the years. Bottom line: Come for the atmosphere. Come for the history. Come because it's one of Southern California's classic tiki restaurants. Just don't come expecting one of LA's best steakhouses. Damon's feels like dinner inside an enchanted Disney tiki attraction, but the food and drinks never quite match the magic of the room. If they elevated the menu and cocktail program to the same level as the atmosphere, this place could easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. As it stands, it's a destination worth visiting--just set your expectations accordingly.

Just found this place through Instagram ads and decided to give it a try. Just for information,…read moretheir working hours are 9 AM-9 PM, 7 days a week. I mentioned this because we missed it on one of our attempts. Finally, on Sunday evening, my husband and I had a chance to visit Butcher and Booze. Very interesting store, with a delicious smell. There is a huge section of drinks where you can find very unique wines and alcoholic beverages. They also have a section of Japanese drinks, and in another corner, different kinds of unique seasonings, BBQ charcoal, and other BBQ supplies. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Next to the drinks section, there are several tables available indoors and two tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining to enjoy your meals. Their food menu is very interesting, and we tried the Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwiches (which they prepare completely in-house from A to Z). The sandwiches were super delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. One thing that surprised me was the amount of salt they used -- it was exactly the right amount, and we didn't get thirsty after eating them. These sandwiches are some of the best we've tried so far, and I highly recommend giving them a try. I noticed a huge samovar (large kettle) and another kettle in the corner of the open kitchen, and I asked about them. Argisht, who noticed my interest and who I believe is behind the kitchen and the delicious food success there, started a very warm and helpful conversation with us and surprised us by serving cups of tea. The tea tasted super soft and delicious. If you have ever tried Middle Eastern tea, you will love this tea. Luckily, they are selling it in the store, if I am not wrong it was Sri Lanka tea, which I have never seen in any store around Glendale or Burbank. Thank you for the great food, awesome store, and very positive and friendly service. With just one visit, Butcher and Booze will become one of your usual spots, so don't miss it!

This is the only steakhouse or restaurant I've found in LA County, that does a true prime-rib dip sandwich, their "Beefeater Dip". Not those things with paper thin slices of overcooked beef, although tasty not a true prime-rib sandwich. I went to college in San Francisco where Haufbrau's were a thing, sadly no more (No German food in sight other than chubby knackwurst) with rather a short selection of quality food served sort of buffet style. There was at least a half a dozen Haufbrau's serving roast turkey, prime rib, corned beef, ham, spaghetti etc. and a selection of sides, mashed and boiled potatoes, turkey dressing, veggie, etc. and great SF sourdough bread. They all had great "French Dip" sandwich's their signature dish, (because of the competition to outcompete) on amazing SF sourdough baguette with true Au Jus. They always had lines around the block particularly at lunch time. In 1971 you could get a hefty French dip, with two sides, mashed potatoes and turkey dressing with gravy and a Coke for 90 cents. Today $30.00 bucks at Tommy's Joynt 55 years later. . Now have lived long enough to tell my story, nothing changes. I can remember my mom telling me when she was high school in 1941, you could buy a hot dog, chips and a coke and entrance to a movie for .25 cents on Fridays, $13.25 without the movie today at Pinks, 84 years later. Just a side note Pink's makes one of the best hamburgers in LA. Go finger, indeed. . The point is, I'm spoiled. A French Dip isn't truly a French Dip unless the beef is thick sliced off a rib roast. Taylors French Dip is the real thing. If anyone knows of a good or better one please let me know. There are somewhat of, not too close, two second places, Tam O'shanters Atwater Village and at Chris & Pits, of the famous bbq sauce, in Downey and Bellflower, but not on par with Taylor's. Checkout Tommy's Joynt on Yelp in San Francisco for the feel of a Frisco Haufbrau, one of the last ones standing. It looks a mess, but in spite of that the food was great. Don't ever get the "Beefeater Dip," if you are not prepared to be unhappy with having anything less, which I guarantee will be your fate. The only thing I don't like about the restaurant is the awful lighting. I feel like I'm in a dungeon, everything feels like a shade of gray and dingy . A hang out for zombies, not flattering to the decor or skin. The place would look a whole nicer if they hired a quality professional lighting designer. It would really bring out the charm of the bygone era design. Plus it would increase their revenue. It's the one thing so many restaurants fail at, and they have no concept of what I'm talking about. But if hey could only see the difference, they'd understand. Wish I had taken a picture, next time.

Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to what we remembered. Being given plastic utensils while dining in was surprising, especially at this price point. The service and food were just okay, and the "miso soup" was actually plain chicken broth, which was disappointing and unexpected. Overall, it didn't feel like the same experience we used to enjoy. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, as we'd love to see the quality return to what it once was.

This restaurant includes TOP NOTCH entertainment. So you get top notch food, great entertainment, and a price point that does not break your bank...what more can you ask for. Everyone that went with me (we were a group of 7) wants to come back, so we already booked another dinner and we have booked their BRUNCH. It's my new favorite restaurant!

Tonight was meant to be a special birthday dinner for me, and although the restaurant was very busy with large parties, our table of two felt completely forgotten the entire evening. We spent a significant amount of money (around $150) and yet received very little attention once larger groups arrived. The most frustrating part was waiting nearly an hour after asking for boxes and the check. We had to flag down our waiter multiple times, and when we finally asked again, instead of apologizing, he responded as if we had been waiting by choice. It honestly left us shocked because we had already asked previously and had simply been ignored. What disappointed me even more was the manager's response. After asking whether we were satisfied, I explained that the restaurant appeared understaffed for the number of large parties being handled and that smaller tables were clearly being overlooked. His response was essentially that everyone is treated fairly, but unfortunately that was not our experience at all. I understand restaurants get busy, especially with large events, and I would have completely understood a sincere acknowledgment of the delay. Most restaurants at least apologize properly, check in, or offer some small gesture after such a long wait. Instead, we felt dismissed. It was also disappointing that despite mentioning it was a birthday celebration, there was no acknowledgment whatsoever -- not even a small candle or dessert gesture that many restaurants typically offer to help make guests feel welcomed and appreciated. I truly used to enjoy coming here, which is why this experience was so upsetting. The atmosphere and entertainment are beautiful, but service matters too, and tonight we left feeling ignored rather than valued as returning customers.

I remember they were selling $10 Don Julio 1942 shots one time because it was Cinco de Mayo week. Great times and memories made at this restaurant. Holiday decor was always great to see especially during Halloween. A true loss. Bring it back please! The staff was friendly and very attentive. The wings and drinks themselves were super flavorful and I thought I would have more time to enjoy and come back to visit while in town. My partner also tried their burger and fries and decided to stop by the restaurant only to find out they closed a couple of months ago. It was worth the visit when we went there back in December.z The place was cute and it felt comfy.
