I'm a nursing student and a caregiver and I've been looking for a good medical supply store for over a year and haven't found anything I liked. After so much disappointment with other supply stores and even internet purchases, I honestly NEVER expected to find this place where really kind-hearted, and creatively helpful people worked with me to solve most of my problems and concerns in just one afternoon! I found just what I needed and was very happy. I am so grateful to all of them and really loved their plethera of neat-o-ness! Like other students and caregivers, I am on my feet all day, everyday at school, at work, at the hospital, and I've needed compression stockings to stop the pain in my feet and legs but had no clue where to start the search for myself. It took them 5 minutes to measure me and find me the right pair. Before, my hours of walking my shifts left me in horrible pain, to the point of having to take pain meds and effecting my sleep. Now, I am pain free after work. I could praise them forever, there is no end to their incredibleness! I am grateful that they are committed to serving the public with quality and trustworthiness. Other places may be cheaper, but they can't compare to the compassion and helpfulness that ultimately saves time and money by actually solving problems! read more

I went to rent a knee rollator and it was only one available. The seat was torn and when my husband was released from hospital I took it there and the physical therapist checked it and the brakes didn't work..so I returned it and there were 2 others there to rent and both were not serviced and not rentable. Very poor service and they didn't refer me anywhere else..then a Physical therapist happen to come In the store and said go to EL TORO PHARMACY IN THE VON'S SHOPPING CENTER ON MOULTON PRKY..I CALLED AND THEY HAD THEM FOR RENT THERE. THEY ARE 15 dollars more, but it would of nice if Adapt 2 It would of told me that..THIS LOCATION VERY MISMANAGED..location on EL TORO..I TALKED TO EL TORO AND THEY REFER TO THEM IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE PRODUCT YOU NEED. Operating hours start at 9 am. I've been sitting for 15 min outside the closed store now 9:15. No one answers phone either.

I have bought several things from here. I have been pleased with everything. When I was able to go to their store, I thought I was in a candy store. I got so excited with all the things they carried for handicapped people like myself. I bought the lift chair, medical bed, a small wheelchair, an electric wheelchair, and a toilet seat. I was pleased on their professional way they handled my order & they delivered right when they said they would be there. My dad started falling down a lot, which led to not going out of his house and getting really depressed. He refused a wheelchair and the walker "took too long". So, I went into Adapt2It and asked if I could just do a short term rental of a motorized scooter, thinking if I just showed up with something that was not a huge investment, it might be helpful. Adapt2It was so helpful, let me rent for $100 per week, gave me the scooter right then and there, and they agreed to deduct the amount should I choose to buy a scooter in the future. Little did I know, it was the greatest thing that could happen. Not only is my dad out and about, he is simply so grateful. Adapt2It was so helpful, accommodating, and positive it made a difficult situation very manageable. Thank you very much. I came to Adapt 2 It a couple of weeks back to look for tools to help my dad put his shirts on. He has Parkinsons and simple acts such as trying to put on a button down shirt can be extremely challenging when your joints aren't working. As soon as I walked in Butch was there to lend a helping hand. He only had one tool in stock for what I needed but it didn't quite fit the needs. That wasn't a problem as he phone up his manager Leslie and laid out the situation for her. While there wasn't anything available to fit our needs she did give me a lead on a place that may offer clothing to help with age related issues called Aging Closet. The Costa Mesa Adapt 2 It family owned medical equipment and supply store is the BEST store in Orange County. The store manager and his wife, truly care about their customers. I walked into the store desperate. I needed a lightweight portable oxygen machine for my 88 year old mother who suddenly had a breathing issue. Jeff ordered an Imogen machine but it wouldn't be delivered for a few days. Jeff got on the phone and found a loaner machine for us. He personally delivered the machine. A few weeks later my mom took a turn for the worse and I needed to purchase a lift chair. The one I wanted needed to be built. Once again Jeff and the owner of the store delivered to my mom's home a loaner lift chair. Adapt 2 It goes way beyond what any other store would do. They are truly a fabulous store who has the best customer service I have ever encountered. For the last 2 months I've been waiting for them to order me something called The Travel John- which is a portable, disposable urinal for both genders. Everytime I call to check in- they say they don't have my order or cannot find it. The 3rd time I went in, I spoke to "Leslie" who promised she would order it for me. She never did. This is only the third YELP review I have ever written in my life- so obviously I feel very strong about it! I give this company a mere "1 star" review because they are careless and inconsiderate about their promises to their customers. Keeping your word goes a long way with me.... and this medical supply store has purposely dropped the ball in every way--especially in customer service!!! read more

I had an ankle injury and needed to rents knee scooter,which was a life saver. They scooter was of high quality and definitely worth it. I would have bought a less sturdy version for the same amount of the 3 month rental. The price was definitely competitive and the customer service was friendly and compassionate. I also appreciated the variety of supplies they had as I have recovered my needs have changed. I recently rolled my ankle and was unable to put weight on it. My husband and I went to our local drug store to buy crutches; however they only had the child size. The pharmacist suggested we try Adapt 2 It. We made to the store around 6pm. They were already closed but the gentleman inside assisted my husband in finding the correct size. He even allowed my husband to bring them out to the car to make sure the crutches would work. He then rung up our purchase and wished for my speedy recovery. I can now get around the house without having to crawl or hop around crashing into things. I am very pleased with the level of customer service at Adapt 2 It. It is something we don't see very often anymore. I will definitely recommend this business to my friends and colleagues. read more

Purchased a walker for my mom while she was in the hospital. She didn't have a chance to try it out til she got out of the hospital3 weeks later. The walker was too short. We brought it back to exchange for a different model. We were advised that they HAD to charge us a rental fee of $60! We were advised that if we paid $60, they would refund us the balance. We weren't looking for a refund. We wanted to use 100% of what we paid toward a walker that was tall enough to keep my mom safe. Very disappointing!!! read more

My husband and I recently purchased an used scooter from Butch the owner and the service we have received has been excellent. After we got the scooter home we heard a noise in the gears. We took it back and they gave my husband a rental scooter at no extra charge thus enabling us to take the rental on a curise which we had previously booked while they repaired our scooter. After they repaired our scooter they gave us a battery pack since we were not getting full charge. They did all of this for no charge. I recommend this store for all of your home health needs. read more

My mom ordered a motorized wheelchair to have for a religious conference. She ordered it a week in advance. When she went to pick it up, the guy there looked at her and said "we don't have any". No apology, no nothing! Very poor customer service! read more

I also had a negative experience with this store. I have purchased several high ticket items from Adapt2it for my elderly Mother in which they are very helpful. I also buy disposables there on a very regular basis. When it came time to assist me with a problem with an electrical product I purchased that did not work, it was a different story. Owner Leslie may be helpful to others however she clearly was not happy about assisting a very good customer with an exchange. Customer satisfaction is apparently not important to Leslie. I simply wanted this product to work and it didn't. Leslie took my contact information and said she would have to order a new item and I would be called when the replacement item came in.. I had to call 3 times to check on it, however I'm sure this order was never placed. I still do not have a device that works, and Leslie has lost a customer forever. I have found 1 or 2 other stores in the area that carry the same items with different brands. Isn't customer service what brings people back to your store? How many good customers can you afford to lose? read more

Top notch company! I've purchased a power wheelchair and lift chair in the past and was pleased with the price and service. Last week I had them install a Mac Lift System for me. From start to finish everything was professionally installed including modifying my existing stairs into my mobile home. If there is a way to give a place a negative # of stars, this store deserves that. This store has horrible customer service. We will never never use it again. Here is the story: We bought a nurse bag from the store more than two months ago. The shoulder strap was broken. The Fitting Specialist Breelin H. Gibola charged us full price, but kept the should strap, promising she was going to order it and will call us as soon as it arrived. Well, guess what, we waited for two months, she did not call. during the two months, we have to use the nurse bag without the shoulder straps. So I called last Tuesday, and after a long wait, I talked to Breelin, she said that the strap will be in on Thursday, and took my phone number and promised she would call me. Of course, she did not call. I waited until late afternoon, and called her. She was too busy to answer me, so I left my name and number with the store for her to call me back. No call. I called again Friday, she was too busy again, I left message again. she did not call back. I called again late afternoon, she left already. Another clerk in the store heard my story, and she contacted Breelin, and got back to me to tell me that the Strap will arrive this Monday. So I waited. Today is Tuesday, Remember, I called last Tuesday and Breelin was there to talk to me. So I called, and conveniently, Breelin is not there again. Leslie picked up the phone, and would not offer any help. Instead, she l told me Breelin was not there, and hanged up the phone. Well, if they don't have the strap, they could have refund us fully, or take off the price from the shoulder strap. Constantly lying about the strap or avoiding the customer is definitely not a good strategy or service. Most people who come to this store are people with disabilities. Be careful, don't let the store mistreat you, and rip you off. read more

Adapt 2 It earns the 5 star rating I have given it! Over the past 6 months my father has been in and out of the hospital. Bringing him home in his frail condition was daunting, but we wanted him home. It was clear that we would need many things to make his homecoming safe and comfortable. Adapt 2 It was recommended to us by someone in the medical field. They had everything we needed at a price we could afford to make my dads homecoming perfect! We rented items that we needed short term and purchased others at reasonable prices. In fact, the prices were lower that every other store we checked.
