I came in with a hip issue that a doc straight outta the gate recommended hip replacement (from 1 X-ray and about 10 minute story time). It didn't sit well with me so I decided to try PT first. Aaron at ADAPT got me from a 8-10 daily pain down to less than 5 in just a few visits! Incredibly friendly, caring, kind individuals that know what they are doing. Having worked in the healthcare industry, I have extremely high standards as a customer and as a patient. I have an idea of how things can be behind the scenes, and it's not easy for me to try out a new provider or service. I was beyond nervous to attend physical therapy, but with seemingly debilitating neck pain and failed attempts at "healing" through waiting/toughing it out, massage therapy, and begging my primary care clinic for help, I knew that I had to try something else. My husband had a great experience at ADAPT, but I still wavered and wasn't sure I should go straight to PT. After well over 2 weeks of insane pain and loss of range of motion with no reprieve from other "treatments", I called for an appointment out of desperation. Shockingly, I was able to obtain one for the next morning, when I met with Aaron (the owner) for the first time; the rest is history. After just a few appointments, Aaron was able to work out the issue with my neck and ultimately saved me from taking steroids and muscle relaxers which my PCP recommended (and I desperately wanted to avoid). I honestly feel he went above and beyond to keep my pain at bay and ultimately resolve the underlying issue. Long story short, Aaron is an amazing physical therapist and truly the type of individual who makes you feel that paying your medical bills is worthwhile... How often can you say that? After I scheduled my first appointment, but before I ever went into the office, I called ADAPT with an insurance question and was shocked to hear Aaron answer the phone. (Because of my husband, I already knew who Aaron was.) He didn't announce he was a physical therapist, or the owner - at least not until I baffled him with a very weird insurance question and he had to explain why he couldn't answer right away. Instead of fielding the call to someone else, he obtained the answer and personally shared it with me because he knew his employees were busy on the phone as well. That's just the type of person and professional Aaron seems to be. He shows genuine care and respect for people and makes a "dreadful" appointment enjoyable. He knows how to put others at ease, and I know I can be high strung and nerve-wracked, so that says a lot. And, arguably most importantly, Aaron knows how to address pain. I'm so grateful to have avoided treatments from my PCP which would have only masked my symptoms without solving the cause. If you are looking at ADAPT as an option, do yourself a favor and call them. They truly earn and deserve your business, and I am sure you won't regret it. read more

Adapt pt is amazing! I had a back injury, I could barely walk, tried a chiropractor for about a week with no change. After a visit to my doctor, she recommended I try physical therapy. So I gave Adapt a call, they got me right in, first thing the following day, which I desperately needed! Long story short, the entire staff was great, super knowledgeable, they treated me like family! Within a couple months I was back to normal! I started with ADAPT a couple months ago for pool therapy. I saw the owner of ADAPT, and I enjoyed my first meeting with them. He said he would be my pool therapist and took me to see the pool which is next door to the office at America's Kids Unlimited. They called and asked if I would mind going on into a group therapy scenario, and I said that would be fine. The group therapy was with Jan who hadn't looked at my charts and had no clue why I was there. I did what I knew from my previous therapy, since she didn't give me any instruction. I said I would get my chart sent over, because I have an L5 break, neuropathy, and advanced arthritis and need a regimen. The first day I felt completely invisible with Jan, so I went to the front desk when it was over and asked to order my paperwork from my previous therapist. They said they sent for my paperwork, but she later said I did not request anything. I walked out that day. With subsequent follow up sessions, II had the flu, so I had to skip therapy for three weeks PER DOCTORS' ORDERS, I waited to go back until I received doctor's clearance to re-enter the pool which was last Friday (being sure to notify ADAPT EACH SCHEDULED TIME). When I came back, Jan made a big deal about it and said I needed to be re-examined. I said it wasn't necessary and just wanted to get back in the pool. Jan is the problem here. I arrived 15 minutes early as requested. Jan came in three minutes after my appointment time, and I went to shower before getting in the pool. I try to go into the pool on a slip proof floor, but the door was locked. I walked around on a slippery floor to try to get in the main door which was also locked. It was very dangerous for me to walk on this floor with wet feet and being disabled, and I slipped and almost fell in the process, but my caregiver broke my fall. I finally get in 15 minutes after my therapy was supposed to start, and I mumbled something to myself about getting started so late. Jan yelled at me and said well you missed three weeks already, so what is the big deal about 15 minutes. She screamed at me like a sergeant; she was very rude to me! I just said I was done at this point because I want nothing to do with her. You should not treat a disabled person like this. She is a caregiver and treated me anything but professionally. I went back to ADAPT and spoke with the front desk person and said I cannot work with her. I then spoke with the owner and said I won't be treated like that. He said they have no one else to be my therapist. However, the very first day, he told me that he would be my therapist, so he lied straight to my face. He said they don't have a place for me there now. I saw Jan in the parking lot, and we again had words with each other. I called them afterwards to try to settle everything; she said I lied to them when I missed the appointments. They again tried to place fault on me by saying I missed three weeks, but my caregiver called to cancel these appointments per my doctor's recommendation. However, my doctor told me not to go in public places, especially around children, because I had the flu. I have a witness for everything that happened. I deserve an apology from them, and I would like to receive one. read more
