They have really stepped up the machine maintenance! Haven't had an issue since the upgrades several months ago. The Black Card membership is worth it for the red light therapy and the hydromassage alone. Customer service is mostly good, BUT I really don't want to walk into a gym and see anyone wearing Meta glasses, let alone the front desk staff. Is it too new for a policy to be implemented? It's really uncomfortable seeing that in a gym environment. Overall, still a big fan of this specific location :)

If playing racquetball and swimming laps are important to you, then it might be worth it. They just raised their rates and I'm not able to see any upgrades. Very few spin class options. The bathrooms are very run down, especially the men's, where there is no privacy. The men's open showers are right out of a 1950's military barrack. The ventilation is bad, so the smells coming from the one toilet stall mix with the steam and fill the whole bathroom and changing area. And though it's not the gym's fault, some of the gym members have very bad hygiene standards in the bathroom. The age demographic generally skews 65+. You can potentially save hundreds of dollars per year elsewhere.

Most aerobic machines come with a TV on it and there are also a couple of flat screens mounted around the bottom floor. On the second floor (more of a loft) you will find the spin bikes and a rower as well as a few other pieces of equipment. They do a couple of classes here that are included in the membership - spin, boot camp, and yoga - most of which are early in the morning (think 5:30 or 6:15 am). There are 3 spacious bathrooms, all of which have showers and one of which includes a sauna. The free weight area is smallish but has all of the equipment you need to get a god workout. My only real complaints about the gym is about the music. They have today hit's (i.e. to same 15 songs) blasting at all hours of the day, which makes it hard if you didn't bring your headphone and don't like Katy Perry, Kanye West, or Bruno Mars. Even if you do have headphones, you probably won't be able to hear whatever you were hoping to because it's pretty loud. Other than that, it would be nice if there were so more class options for those of us that can't bare the thought of getting out of bed at the crack of dawn.

I was unable to commit due to family obligations which ended the year with the passing of my dad. When I asked them if they could help me out they said no since the request to cancel wasn't in writing.. when I asked if there was anything they could do I was left without a response. I understand I should've noticed the $30 charge on my card monthly but I honestly didn't there was a lot going on inside of last year personally. We tried a community wrestling team the year before and our son wanted nothing to do with it. Gave it a half season but eventually pulled him out because of his lack of interest. A few months back I was seeing FB adds for a free introductory session at Grappletown. We signed our son up and after his first visit, he was adamant about coming back for more. A few months in at 2 days a week and he's still full speed ahead enjoying every class. Coach Matt, Coach Kale, and others have been very patient with the kids as they all progress and focus at different levels. We like Grappletown so much that even I've decided to join in while exploring a newfound motivation to enter into a fitness journey. After a back injury has kept me from being as active as I've been most my life, I've finally healed up enough to explore these opportunities.
