They installed the new flooring in a very professional and timely manner prior to our company coming from out-of-state. Keith's installers, Paul and Victor, constructed a walk-in tub and shower in 2021 and did an excellent job as stated in my review from that year. In 2022, they put in a new water heater for me. Months later the heater began making noises. Without hesitation, Keith came to my aid and investigated how to fix it. With his research and direction we were able to correct the problem the following day that I called him. I am grateful to have Keith support us in our construction and replacement needs. Once the job is concluded, he continues his support. I again recommend Keith for not only the installation of walk-in tubs, the construction of showers but also smaller jobs. After having Safe Step Tubs and American Standard companies visit our home, we met with Keith from American Therapy Tubs. Thank you Keith for your straightforward presentation. The other two companies obviously do not respect older people, tried to play with our emotions by quoting a much lower price if we bought on the spot. We are a nonprofit agency that provides services to adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. We needed 4 bathrooms remodeled to accommodate the mobility needs of the people we serve. This included a walk in tub, a wheelchair accessible shower, waterproof wainscoatin, etc. Over the 27 years of working here I've never seen a construction company who gave the high quality of workmanship and high level of expertise of complex challenges as Keith and his workers at American Therapy Tubs. They were very pleasant, on task the whole time, met deadlines easily, and went above and beyond on all areas. We had a complex issue for years with a wall hung toilet that expert plumbers and carpenters from other companies weren't able to fix and Keith and his workers knew what the problem was right away and fixed it. Keith didn't waste my time with a long power point presentation. He quickly showed me the tub that would be right for me. His bid was almost eight thousand less than USA Bath and Safe Walk-in Tubs. Plus he was able to install in three or four weeks and not the three or four month timeline that was given by his competitors. His installers wore masks and they were so friendly and professional. We had looked at several companies before deciding to go with American Therapy Tubs. Immediately upon meeting the project manager Keith, we were impressed. He is as professional as they come. We were impressed with his knowledge, experience, and work ethic. Not to mention his down-to-earth tells-you-like-it-is style. He worked with us listened carefully to our desires and offered suggestions to the project. We never felt pushed. We were equally impressed with his contractor, Paul, who did all of the work. We can't say enough good about Paul as he did an outstanding, most excellent job! His philosophy is "he does the work as if it were his own home." And how true to his word he is! He is a very hard worker, stayed on task and worked the entire time he was in our home. He was very detailed to the point of perfection, always doing an outstanding job on everything he did. He was able to roll with the punches when we ran into some unexpected issues, he dealt with them even better than we expected. Paul is very very clean, always leaving my house clean at the end of each work day. We installed the deluxe walk-in tub with all of the bells and whistles for our 99-year-old mom to help ease her arthritic pain. Her words each time she uses the tub are "I think I've died and gone to heaven!" She just loves her new tub! And it really helped with her discomfort as well. In order to install the tub they had to push a wall out, remove all of the tile, and the old shower stall. In doing so, they found some dry root which they promptly and thoroughly took care of. This also meant re-directing the plumbing and heater vent. Paul installed new recessed lighting in both the bathroom and the bedroom, plus a fancy van/heater/light unit that really warms up the bathroom wonderfully. He installed a new vanity, toilet, shelving unit, grab bar, towel rack, and new flooring. He even widened the bathroom door so mom could easily get into the bathroom using her walker without scraping her knuckles. He installed two new closet units in the bedroom and new flooring throughout the entire first floor matching every single piece, and even going down some steps which he also widened to accommodate moms walker. I am so happy to see that this business is getting top ratings because they really deserve it! My husband is 86 and I am 70 and we didn't like getting in and out of our current bathtub with its narrow sliding glass door. I called American Standard and Kohler tub companies and got a total run around. No one would talk to me about price range or tub offerings which I thought was a little suspicious. American Therapy Tubs was next on my list because it was local so I might have a better chance of getting some answers. I spoke with Keith and jackpot! He took the time to explain everything, including prices and he had a showroom so I could see exactly what I was getting. There was absolutely no pressure. I knew I had the right business. We went in and saw our choices and got what we wanted at the price we wanted to pay. Because of COVID19 and my husband's cataract surgery we postponed installation for a few months and Keith waited until we were ready. In July the tub was installed by two amazing guys Paul and Victor. They were so respectful, incredibly hard working and did such an excellent job. They matched our tile grout and went to heroic efforts to attach spa electricity. When they left, the entire bathroom was clean and everything was removed from their workspace. I have no idea how they were able to get the old tub out and the new tub in but when they were done, it looked like the new tub had always been there. I was so stressed about the tile but they so exceeded my expectations. They were the best workers I've had to pleasure to work with. We love our tub with the microbubble option and the jets. I am a retired, disabled veteran requiring the use of a walk-in bathtub. I applied for a home improvement and alterations (HISA) grant from the VA. After looking at the different vendors off of the VA's approved list of vendors who carried walk-in tubs. And, having researched the various brands and types, I settled on the American Tubs brand. As a result, I chose American Therapy Tubs off of the VAs approved list. I contacted American Therapy Tubs in Elk Grove through their website and I was contacted by Keith Howard, owner. He was very familiar with the VA HISA Grant system and usually has 3-4 of them in process at any given time. He came to my house for our initial appointment where he did a site survey, gathered my requirement and made solid recommendations based on my needs. Additionally, he assisted me in putting my HISA application together and even submitted it for me. After I received approval from the VA, the tub was ordered. When the tub and special tile that we order arrived, Keith immediately scheduled an installation date that supported our schedule. It took two and a half days for his team (2) of contractors to complete the job. Both Paul and Cameron were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Before the installation began, Keith came by ensure that the tub and deck were positioned in the place that we had agreed to. At completion of each day, they cleaned up their work space. Upon completion of the installation, Keith came by to inspect the tub's installation and gave a quick tutorial of its use. Additionally, Keith said if we had any problems that we should contact him. We were very satisfied with the product and end results--take a look at the before/after pictures from his page (fireplace one). This is a high performance and very solid tub with many options. My wife and I both have back problems, mine is such that it makes standing and walking difficult and we both are unsteady on our feet. This makes standing in a shower or getting in or out of a bathtub not only difficult, but poses a safety issue for both of us.
