    Don't go here

Yuck, if you could put no stars I would. Scam, short and sweet. 2 courses 13 carts til. At least 49 people. Do the math at 5 minutes per ride. No refunds, been standing for around an hr. For 13.75 for both tracks. Yuck , we left. Big Chief next door is much faster, super quick lines and even restrooms.

Guy working was super nice and the price is perfect. 5 minutes ride got in 10 laps if not more. Had a blast with the kids.

Worst go cart experience ever. Don't go here and waste your money. Their go carts don't work and staff are rude.

Horrible. Slow, old and run down carts. Terribly rude employees. Long lines for a super, quick ride. Do NOT recommend!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it for younger kids because the safety measures simply aren't where they should be. There was very little guidance from staff, no shoulder harnesses, and no padding on the steering wheel. During parking, be prepared for kids crashing into the back of your kart, which resulted in more than a few cases of unexpected whiplash. What concerns me most is that this isn't a new issue. If you read through previous reviews, you'll find the same safety concerns being raised going back nearly 10 years. At some point, this stops being an oversight and starts looking like a choice. Height requirements alone aren't enough... there should also be a minimum age requirement (I'd suggest around 13 years old). For comparison, we also visited Tom Foolery's go-karts during our trip. They were actually $1 cheaper and had shoulder harnesses, padding, and a system that automatically slows karts down during parking and to help manage accidents. I truly hope Big Chief addresses these concerns, because with better safety standards, this could be a much different review.

There's a little bit of everything -- go karts, laser tag, bowling, arcade games, mini golf, climbing areas and more, so everyone in the group can find something they enjoy. The activity bracelet/pass can feel a little pricey, but if you're planning to do several activities it's definitely worth it and makes things easier instead of paying for each thing separately. One thing we really liked was how convenient the location is. It's connected right between the Kalahari resort and the movie theater, so it's super easy to walk over and spend some time there without having to drive anywhere. Overall it's a really fun spot if you're visiting Wisconsin Dells -- especially great for families or anyone looking for something to do besides the waterparks. Lots of games, lots of energy, and plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Someone from the resort (or corporate, allegedly) reached out around 5:15 PM the night after all…read morethis. The conversation was... let's call it politely vague. A lot of "we're sorry" energy, not a lot of actual substance. She did say they were putting a credit on our account for the trouble. Cool. Great. Love that for us. Except... shockingly... there was no credit on the folio at checkout. Not hidden, not partial, not mislabeled. Just straight up not there. Which honestly feels perfectly on brand for the entire experience. Promise something, deliver vibes. Also, fun little bonus: apparently when you complain, they tag your account internally. So now I've got the digital equivalent of a frowny face next to my name for having the audacity to expect basic competence. Appreciate that. Love the one employee brave enough to mention it though. And for anyone who's seen their social media replies where they say "our leadership team will follow up" or "we'll make this right"... I've got zero evidence that any of that actually happens in a meaningful way. It reads like customer service theater. Lots of optics, very little follow-through. If anyone from corporate is reading this, maybe audit that pipeline, because from the outside it looks completely disconnected from reality. Now for the actual stay. Miserable doesn't even begin to cover it. Checked in at a kiosk, which should have been the easy part, until a staff member decided personal boundaries were optional and started tapping my screen like it was a demo unit at Best Buy. I explicitly said I didn't want a charge-enabled wristband, and they added it anyway. Nothing builds trust like unauthorized spending access tied to your room. Then came the wristband confusion: two different colors, zero explanation, and the distinct feeling I'd accidentally joined a very disorganized timeshare. Check-in took about 80 minutes. Not exaggerating. That included a completely unnecessary trek back to the main lobby from the Hillside building because apparently this place runs on side quests. At that point it felt less like a resort and more like a low-budget escape room where the prize is a working room key. Speaking of which, the room door didn't work. So that was a fun little encore. Just sitting there waiting for maintenance like it's the final act of a very boring play. Pro tip: block off 2 to 3 hours for check-in. Bring snacks. Maybe a novel. Even if they offered me three free nights, I'd pass. Some experiences are just too memorable, and not in the way they were going for. NEVER GOING BACK

The hotel staff act like they were working with us at first, saying that they would have housekeeping do a three day cleaning and inspection to which they said was negative, then they had a third party pest control company come out to inspect to which the room tested positive. The hotel provided a refund of our stay, and tried to give us two free nights in the main resort. Umm, like how don't I know the main resort is not going to have bed bugs too. They have new "tree house" properties (cabins on stilts) coming May 2026 and I mentioned that if my family and I were to come back that I'd like to stay in one of the new Tree House (cabins on stilts) properties. They continue to deny me for those. Besides that, one star because they did have a third party pest control company come test and exterminate the room where we were bitten at. Only thing with that, the hotel won't provide me with the report. That's fine because here are the photos of the bed bugs bites. You can choose to stay here if you want, just know that Kalahari is now infested with bed bugs. I will never bring my family here again!

GET YOUR WINGS**…read more What some might consider a kiddie coaster is actually far, far rougher than the diminutive statistics would imply. Back when the park was called Big Chief Carts & Coasters, Pegasus was the 2nd major ride to be installed (in '96), following Cyclops in 1995. It's geared more towards younger guests, and aside from a few fleeting moments of airtime, this CCI woodie offers little in the thrill department. .....Unless you consider bodily harm to be 'thrilling.' Riding in the front row, I bruised a rib on one of the elevated turns when the train violently slammed me to the left side of the boxy PTC (Philadelphia Toboggan Company) train. From what I saw, not a single turn was banked in the slightest, which is okay at lesser speeds. Unfortunately the front of the train carries a good deal of momentum into the bank-less curves, which results in abrupt and painful lateral G's. The back row doesn't seem to witness this as much, since by the time the rear of the train navigates the turn, the train as a whole is traveling much slower. Injuries aside, Pegasus is pretty tame. It's unique in that it circles a go-kart track below it, but as it reaches a top speed of only 40mph, hardened coaster enthusiasts might find Pegasus to be too mild for their liking. As with all the other coasters here, only one train is in operation and this seats no more than 16 riders at a time, so the queue moves at a snail's pace. Nevertheless, it's 1 of 4 wooden coasters at Mt Olympus and is still worth your time, provided that the line is under half an hour. I'd recommend that front row riders prepare themselves for a jarring experience. _____ **My tagline works on multiple levels, since it's partly a reference to the mythical flying horse but also a nod to the fact that first time coaster riders can cut their teeth on this wooden coaster.....thus earning their 'wings'. Clever, aye! Thanks, I'll be here all week. Remember to tip your waitresses.
