I have attended the Saturday morning EXTRA EXTRA Class for several weeks and have seen that not only the attendees don't clean up after themselves, but the instructor seems to encourage this behavior! I was shocked when she told the group to leave their sweat on the equipment for the next user - the class laughed so I assumed it was a joke. However when we finished only I sanitized my equipment! Truly disgusting! This class is one hour and a half long, we sweat a lot. Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment is not only common courtesy and common cleanliness but it is also a rule on the AAC Code of Conduct Please, if you attend this class or just exercise here, clean up your equipment and ask your instructors to lead by example! read more

Great experience! The best value in Addison around, only $10 dollars for your membership, a one time fee. Very clean facility and friendly staff. Only negative was the sign up process. You must have every piece of documentation with your Addison address. For someone new to the area this might be a big ask. I had to show I had an appointment to change my drivers license address from the dmv. It's easy enough to do online and they do allow screenshot photos as documentation, but it's a hassle. read more

After leaving behind my precious UFC gym and favorite personal trainer in NYC, I never thought I would fill the emptiness in my heart. But lo and behold, Addison Athletic Club stepped up to the plate and filled my life once more with happiness, sunshine, and a good old fashioned sweat-sesh. Need TRX stuff? They gotchu. A bosu ball? They gotchu. Jumpropes? They have em. Weighted medicine balls? On it! THIS GYM IS YOUR OYSTER. And they have swimming pools, a community garden, squash courts, a basketball court, an indoor track, and a generally peaceful atmosphere. This is definitely one of my favorite places in Dallas. EVER. You go, glen coco. And by glen coco, I mean staff members of Addison Athletic Club. For $10, this is the best investment I've ever made. read more

I've been a member for 4 years. I love it here! They have and indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and heated room, showers, basketball court, a mini upstairs track, dance rooms, racquetball rooms, extra training rooms and then the main workout area. They recently installed new equipment which is really nice. If you forget your card no problem you can just sign in with the people upfront. They have TVs upstairs so it helps distract me from my workout. They also have extra fans if you need them. My favorite is the outdoor pool which is free to members and a small fee for outside guests. They have classes if your interested in signing up. They also have a coffee station and sometimes will do free breakfasts. The people are super nice here and lets you meet new people in your area. read more

So much room for activities. Only a one time $10 sign up fee if you live in Addison for this entire facility. Can't beat that.

I love this facility! Lots of reasons why: 1. $10 lifetime membership if you're an Addison resident! #AWESOME!!! 2. Plenty of equipment; I never wait in line. Eliptor, treadmill, machines, dumbells, a few machines, ... indoor track, basketball court, fooseball, ping pong, racketball, ... indoor pool, outdoor pool, ... the list goes on and on. 3. Walking distance from my house! (Sorry, I know that doesn't apply to all of you!) 4. Family activities and camps -- generally for the younger kids, but still a very nice to have. Addison Athletic Club has plenty to offer for everyone. The only drawback I see is that it doesn't open until 1:00 pm on Sundays. But given everything else, I can't complain. read more

Not a bad deal if you live in Addison. 8 bucks to visit if you know someone is good too. It's clean and has everything most people need. Mostly machines but there is a good free weight dumbbell section. I didn't see any bars. There is a basketball court and a track for jogging. I didn't look around the place to much but it is nice. I did see various aerobic classes going on upstairs if that's your thing. I consider myself an athletic person and i got a great workout in. No muscle heads. Clientele ranged from athletes to senior. No cross fit area which ifs a distraction for me anyway. They also have a few racquet ball courts. Still it's a bit of a drive for me personally factoring in addison traffic and wouldn't be worth the non resident fee. Attendants did not hassle me about membership whatsoever. This club is great for residents, the restrooms are pretty nasty and outdated but the exercise equipment is up to date and clean! So, don't take showers here, yikes! However, there is a young girl (athletic, brown hair always in a pony tail, brown eyes) who is always giving me a hard time about things. Today I had enough and I'm never going back, I decided to join another gym. Every time I come in with my children she ALWAYS makes comments about stupid things, for example, we didn't know the kids over 8 years old have to have their own ID, so she made a big deal about it and told me they had 3 CHANCES and on the 4th they had to get their own ID, which is fine but when I said I didn't know, she said, in an upset tone: "well, those are the rules" and I thought to myself: "how unprofessional". Then on a separate occasion, they had camper kids running around near the restrooms while I was on a conference call (they have couches to sit on and I was in that sitting area), so I stepped outside to finish a 10 minute call. When I came back in she approached me AGAIN and said: "excuse me m'am, did you just leave the building and leave your kid in the daycare, because that's against the rules" and I explained about their LOUD campers and my phone call - I didn't plan on STEPPING outside for a few minutes and she still said: "you need to let someone know you are outside"... really? I didn't leave the premises! If you're on a conference call, that's hard to do, especially when you didn't know you couldn't stand outside while your kid is in the daycare, when THEIR campers are the ones running around being loud and disruptive? The thing with the kids was brought up every single time I brought them in, which was only 3 times this summer, since they don't have good kid programs here they didn't want to go back, but this girl makes people feel unwanted or uncomfortable with her demeanor and tone of voice. She takes her job too seriously, I know rules are rules but to ALWAYS say something? Too anal, I have NEVER EVER EVER had a problem with ANYONE at any other gym. Too bad. The rest of the staff is great and in the last 7 years I had NEVER complained about anyone there, they are much more discrete and polite. Thanks for reading! read more

All I have to say is whoever gave them a 1 star probably thinks the whole world is against her...How can you complain about a place with every amenity you can ask of a gym and only pay $10. Yes it is a little outdated and they don't have any barbells; but, I could care less it's just a place to workout. As for the service, everyone has been very nice and they keep the place very clean. I am the concierge at The Fiori and recently found out about this facility- I am now recommending it to all my residents! It is approx 6000 sq ft of healthfullness!! I took the tour the other day and found it to be an amazing facility. I went at abt 5:15pm and expected the huge, obnoxious crowds.....wasn't the case- plenty of room for everyone and the pool is quite exceptional. Good for you Addison folks!!! If you live in Addison, you get to go to this gym for a one time membership of $25! It's amazing because it has everything from an Olympic size indoor pool, indoor basketball court and racquetball court, outdoor pool (which looks like something in Greece with pillars and waterfalls), new exercise equipment (including state of the art treadmills), and aerobic and yoga classes for about $7. Definitely worth joining if you live in the Addison area. Probably better than any paid gym I've been to, which include 24 Hr Fitness and LA Fitness. read more

You get all fitness facility here for free .. I don't know any one who can give this place a star rating..skip orange fitness and lifetime fitness and come to Addison gym.. I've been a member of this club for 10 years. The gym is 5 star...not ever over crowded. People that work there are great...! Great pools inside and out....only problem is most people don't take a shower before entering either. Rules of the pool since I was a kid, is always take a shower before entering the pool. The sign is posted right be the doors, but neither women, men or kids take shower...I've seen guys go in the pool and hot tub, dripping with their own grimy sweat and jump right in. Women do it too!!!! Come on have some respect for everybody else...TAKE A SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL !!!!! read more

I had a pretty negative experience with a staff member here. It was about 2 minutes till close, I had lost track of time. Just gotten out of the shower, putting my clothes on when a woman came in, turning off the lights. She stopped right in front of me and said in a very point blank manner "we're closed" I said "Oh my I didn't realize what time it was, may I please have a few minutes to put my clothes on?" her response was literally "I don't GOT a few minutes, we're closed" She sat there and waited while I finished getting dressed. It was extremely humiliating. I understand you all close at a certain time but speaking to people that way, not even allowing a few minute window after closing time (to get decent enough to walk out the door) - is just plain unkind. I asked for her name. Shataya I believe. My husband has worked for the city for 16 years. Next time I encounter something like this here I plan to make a stink about it with the city. read more
