The following week I went in and I swear it was the best experience for what I was having done. Many of the reviews you read on here are about his dental work, office staff and atmosphere he provides for his patients, BY HIS PATIENTS! I am here to write about the experience he provides for his TEAM. Because you can read the over 140+ Google Reviews about his practice to know you have made the right decision by choosing Dr. Perry as your dentist. I want to tell you what happens behind the scenes. Dr. Perry, his wife (Cara) and daughter (Brynn), bring HEART to the practice. They are generous, fun, and a genuinely caring family that put their practice, staff, and patients first. By doing so, the staff you are greeted with are a reflection and extension of them. We are all human and all have unique personalities, just like any group would, but there is something about working for (and being a patient of) Dr. Perry's team that makes you feel you are part of something special. They make you feel like FAMILY!!! Maybe it's the combination of his love for his family, the Texas Rangers, TCU, and gardening. Maybe it's his background of growing up in Christian schools, singing with the Texas Boys Choir, traveling the world as a child or simply pride in his work that makes him who he is, but whatever it is it's rare! Moving to Austin, I was sad to leave a practice that set a very high bar for all other practices. A bar so high, I haven't been able to plant roots in a practice here yet, even though the offers have been numerous. I miss working with The Perrys and his team, my dental family. So much so, I committed 6 months ago to working 3 more weeks with them this August while his new Full Time Hygienist is on vacation in Australia. I have never hated my teeth as much as after going to Dr. Dabboul's office. Last fall I went in for…read morea cleaning and a new patient exam. Dr Dabboul said I didn't have cavities but a few deep spaces in my teeth he wanted to fill before moving forward with anything else. I asked if he would fix a food catch I had, he said yes. I came out with two food catches instead of one. He cratered and changed the shape of my molar, the one I'd asked him to fix. He made my molar shorter and the crater deeper. I have been in constant pain with that tooth since seeing Dr Dabboul. Unable to eat or sleep well. That is until I had a root canal last month. The endodontist said the tooth had been taken down to where it was sitting on the nerve. The only option was the root canal if I wanted relief. The other food catch he made is a crater in a different molar, it will either need a crown or root canal in the near future as well. So in addition to paying for dental services I'm paying out to fix those dental services. If you like your teeth and want to keep them I do not recommend this dentist for services.

I went to Dr. Crumpton while I was in the middle of an implant procedure that was being performed…read moreout of state by another dentist. I had been fitted with a temporary "flipper" for four months while the bone healed, but it had become uncomfortable to eat with, so as I was in Texas, I made an appointment with Dr. Crumpton to have it adjusted. On the way there, I took a phone call, the flipper became loose so I set it on my car dashboard, and--disaster!--it took a joy ride down into the air vent, never to be seen again without dismantling the whole dashboard of my car. Dr. Crumpton's staff were wonderfully kind and patient, his dental assistant even coming outside to help me look for it. Even though this implant procedure was not being done by them, Dr. Crumpton immediately stepped in to help. Knowing I was leaving for London the following week and couldn't possibly go with a front tooth missing, he arranged to get me fitted the very next day, at a very reasonable price, and without ever making me feel foolish for what had happened. Thanks to their professionalism, kindness, and generosity, my new temporary tooth will be ready next week--just in time for my flight. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Crumpton and his team--they are not only highly professional but also compassionate and caring and did not try to gauge me on the price.

I've been going to pickett for years. i started going to him before turning 18, wanting a more…read moremature sensory. I was recommended by someone to go to him. He was amazing , i told him my history and everything about my medical experience and jaw birth defects etc. he was excited to work with me and i felt safe in his office. In early 2023 i got my teeth cleaned and talked about how a potential surgery was in the future and thats why i came in to get my teeth cleaned and prepped. he cleaned me up, i had my one hygienist i would go to and i loved her. Later that year i ended up having major surgery and didnt ending up coming back until february 2026 when i informed them i had the surgery. it was a big recovery and i had just gotten my braces off. i was there to get a deep clean and it went great. i told him again i had surgery and he said great! they found 4 cavities and said that was not bad for everything ive been through. i scheduled my appointment to get my teeth filled and appointment was good! march 2026, when i came to the office i asked if they could just do two out of the four due to anxiety because i already expected myself to not take it well. they said yes and they are gonna do the right side so i let them start and i was fine at first. i did have some anxiety and they know i have anxiety and the meds i take. when dr pickett came in and said hello it didn't even seem like he knew who i was. obviously he knew i was his patient but it seemed like he totally forgotten about my medical history on that side of my mouth. so i let them start and i didn't say anything the whole time i let them do there job and i was having some pain and making quiet noises to help the ease. the hygienist had that very fake tone of voice , high pitched and almost talking to a kid mind you. that was upsetting me. she would tell me after i have pain that i may feel pressure , at one point i was hyperventilating and she was telling me the more i struggle to breathe the harder this is for me. at this point they have shot me up 6 times with the numbing stuff. i cant feel my nose , to breath. i'm having an anxiety attack and they have no symptoms at all for me. they did not care , they just wanted to get me done with and move on to the next . my feelings did not feel validated at all and just kept shooting me up with medication. at one point doctor pickett said "stop making noises ur gonna scare my other patients and think im hurting you" , he was in fact hurting me , and stretching out my fresh two year old jaw that just got worked on and STILL HEALING. it's been 6 days and im hurting, in discomfort. sad that i couldn't feel comfortable in my own dentist that i've been going to for a long time , that i thought new my history and my problems. at the end they asked me to bite down on a piece of black paper to see my bite and i was numb and also my jaw doesn't move like normal jaws. she was telling me to weird moments w my teeth while being numbed up 6x and a TITANIUM JOINT IN MY JAW. yes maybe i had attitude bc i was in pain and in distress but there was absolutely no reason to decline practice towards me. i am very disappointed, sad , mourning my long time at the practice and knowing my history and supporting me through my journey to it my surgery that took forever to have. dr pickett and his hygienist that helped him that day just didn't care about my trauma and anxiety. there was no support and overall just rude comments. i ended up being silent for the rest of the appointment and even when i got up to the front and PAID my bill. didn't book my 2nd appointment. 6 days later im calling the office back to schedule my next appointment to get the other two teeth done. i say what i want done , they ask for my name and the lady over the phone went silent and put me on hold. 5 minutes she comes back and tells me ive been kicked from the practice. she had no reasoning , they said they sent a letter but it was so early still i haven't even gotten the letter yet. i couldn't even get a chance to tell them that i was still hurting. in discomfort. i asked why what was the reasoning and she told me he said that i would be better off going somewhere else. IVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR YEARS WHAT DO U MEAN!!!! i started crying and i just hung up. i'm in pain, have more anxiety than ever and i did absolutely nothing wrong for him to kick me. with no answers and having to retell myself to a new dentist and have the chance for this to happen again somewhere else . dr pickett im very disappointed and u had no reasoning to do that. obviously they dont know how to handle patients with dental anxiety and trauma.

So you mean to tell me that you are holding my x-ray that were already paid for by my insurance hostage because of a no show balance! I can understand not scheduling future appointments but not withholding something that has already been paid for. This seems unethical and money driven. If they had a website to pay the balance it would not be an issue. I don't give out my credit card info over the phone. Regardless that should not be a prerequisite for sending something that has already been paid for by my insurance.

Also told me that me that my brothers insurance was accepted and after 8 months and 5 separate visits, received a surprise bill and told they do not accept his insurance. Told me some bs about how it took awhile to fax over insurance information from provider. Never received one call from the non existent office manager. Dr. Young is great but will not be retuning after multiple problems with his front desk staff who only know how to swipe cards and setup appointment. My old place just wanted $$ and I am So glad I found a dentist I can actually trust! When my little one smashed his teeth up into his gums after tripping and hitting his mouth, they fit him in right away and were so good with him!
