I love this restaurant "group", spearheaded by a visionary and committed owner. Kristin Canty is committed to local sources as much as possible, sustainable, organic products. The first time I came. I was so disappointed in the lack of "Hispanic" color. The waiter was pushing bad Spanish and not a lot of knowledge of the menu. Fast forward now, and the menu is down pat, DELICIOUS fish tacos, DELICIOUS swordfish belly tacos, perfect churros. Much better service AND we saw Kristin on our way out. I placed a door dash delivery order online. I then called to discuss a nut allergy. The gentleman hung up. I called back to discuss the allergy and I then got a message that my order was cancelled. My wife called back to reinstate the order and same gentleman called her stupid. That "gentleman" should be fired and seek non- service related employment. read more

The drinks, food, ambiance and outdoor seating make this gem a must-go when you're in metro west. Though a little pricey in some categories two people with two rounds of premium drinks and dinners gets you in the $100-$120 category AFTER tip (so, all in). Not too bad! Flavors popped! Music was great (a tad loud, but not crazy) and the service was good. Came tonight for dinner and drinks with some girlfriends. We enjoyed a variety of fruity margaritas - passion fruit, smoky pineapple, and a house Adelita. Guacamole and salsa were ok. Taco options were plentiful. I enjoyed the shrimp on homemade flour tortillas. Don't skip the smoky sauce that they bring in bottles to the table! We shared the flan for dessert and it was the highlight of our meal - rich and creamy and flecked with vanilla beans. So good! Service was friendly and professional. I was here about 1.5years ago and remember leaving unimpressed! Mexican is one of my favorite cuisines, and finding it around here can be nearly impossible. The atmosphere here in incredible and the drinks were great, but I'm here to talk about the food... I came here for dinner and drinks with a friend, I remember talking to her in the parking lot about how the salsa lacked salt and flavor, it just tasted like chopped up tomatoes with a dusting of other stuff and maybe onions. I recall her sending back a dish because of all the onions, unfortunately it being that long ago I don't remember which dish it was.... Well, fast forward to 2021. My husband surprised us with takeout appetizers and sides from Adelita. He ordered the Nachos with tinga, kids quesadillas, rice and beans, chip and salsa, and lastly corn tortillas (usually my favorite). Let's start with the nachos. First, the were soggy but I'm contributing that to the fact that it was takeout. Normally I LOVE nachos, but I just couldn't get myself to enjoy them. The tinga lacked flavor and salt, felt like just chicken stewed in tomato and onions which to some can be exciting, but I assure you it's was lacking character, flavor and texture. Kids quesadillas were fine, you can't really mess those up! Rice and beans were fine, but not memorable. The salsa remained the same as I described above, just tasted like chopped up tomatoes with a dusting of other stuff. Needed lime juice, salt and life! Chips were good! Though the tortillas were homemade, for me they were too thick. Which when they are too thick, the masa doesn't properly cook/steam from within when in the griddle. I want to love this restaurant, but I don't and makes me sad because there are not that many around. read more

The food isn't authentic- not that I'd expect it to be in west concord but another thing to consider but it's tasty. So get 3 stars for that and the ambiance. It's a nice place inside. If I could give zero stars, I would. We went on a Tuesday night and let's just say the restaurant was quite empty. We walked in and asked for a booth, and when seated by a manager, we were seated at a WET table that was not completely cleaned off and showed signs of the previous guest's glass. The floor was dangerously slippery and one of my guests almost slipped when sitting down. The chips were warm except the salsa dish was placed directly in the middle of all of the chips. Our server never introduced herself and mumbled through her opening introduction to the restaurant. She immediately stated that it was Taco Tuesday but was sure that we were not interested in the pitcher of Margaritas. My date and I ordered the Enchiladas and Mango soda, and let's just say that the value did not meet the meal. First of all, each dish cost $19. Secondly, I asked for light cheese and that was substituted with an extreme amount of extra sauce. I'm not sure if this was an attempt to cover up the dry chicken or the microwaved textured flowered tortillas that were almost impossible to saw through. When our server returned to our table to offer us dessert, she made it seem like there were several offerings only to discover that there was one, which she again mumbled through. Now let's discuss the follow up effects. Both my date and I, only 20 minutes after the meal, started noticing signs of food poisoning. I am currently on my 2nd day of suffering from what appears to be food poisoning, and I will never return again. read more

My first time here yesterday... I arrived before my friend and told the hostess a table for 2. She seemed hesitant, and told me that it is fully booked with reservations. Then she had to check with someone who appeared to be the manager, and he suggested the bar, which was fine with me. ... Only that unless the high tables were part of the bar or 1/3 of the people who made reservations cancelled last minute, they looked pretty empty until we left around 9. (I arrived at 6:30). Were they trying to save the seats for large groups? Except for this weirdness, I enjoyed the jalapeño margarita and the tacos, and the bartender (male one) was friendly. I just deleted my post from 3 hours ago when I logged online and placed my order for pick up (they said 90 minutes, worth the wait). This was my first non home cooked meal in 4 months... when I arrived 90 minutes later, they told me they were running late, told me 30 more minutes. At this point I'm hangry and have paid... so waited. I watched 12 other people pull up, call in like I did, and receive their food and drive off. 1 hour later and my 2 tacos were not ready! Drinks were good. Service was excellent. They offer lettuce wraps as an alternative to corn tortillas. The carne asada tasted like Salisbury steak. I felt like I was back in the 90s eating a tv dinner. We tried two pork tacos. The pork adobo with pineapple was nice lovely balance of flavors. Overall I was underwhelmed, it was average. We've been to Adelita three times since it opened a year ago, making it our most-visited restaurant. First, they make the best Margarita I have ever been served in Massachusetts. (As the product manager for Jose Cuervo Tequila years ago, I got to know Margaritas well.) We like the small plates - little tacos filled with pork, chicken, beef, or chicken along with appropriate veggies. with the Carnitas being a standout. The only dud was a mole that had a sweet off taste. Rice, beans, enchiladas, tamales - all good. If you want spicy, you need to ask, but real Mexican food is not spicy hot - that's Tex-Mex. We've never had a highly experienced server in any of our visits, but they were all pleasant and trying their best, so we were fine. Highly recommended. read more

My mother and I very much enjoyed our meal this evening at Adelita, and we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty dinner to linger over, but there's a few things that I think bear mentioning here. First and foremost, while the entry display is lovely, there is a giant post that blocks the view to most of the dining room, which is only a problem because there is also no hostess stand and no hostess, so if you happen to walk in and no one hears you, you're left standing in the doorway waiting for someone to see you and seat you. This happened to my mother and me and it took close to five minutes to be noticed and seated. Once we sat and looked around, we noticed the mariachi decor and well appointed themed dining room. It was comfortable and welcoming and we both remarked on how long people lingered to chat over the food, which is almost always a good sign. The waitress was attentive until we ordered and then we never saw her again until she delivered the bill to the table. They did seem under staffed, which isn't surprising for a rainy Monday night, but it was a little jarring to have a totally different waiter ask if he could take our cash and bill and then promptly took it smiling from ear to ear. It was enough for my mother to watch him to make sure he wasn't pocketing the cash tip, but that may be more of a remark on my mom's nerves than anything else! And the food was delicious, really tasty, but I am going to have to call out the "white suburban mom" spicy labels. If you're going to label a dish spicy, make it spicy. I ordered a jalapeño thing with cheese and pico de gallo and while it was good, it wasn't even the least bit spicy. It was like eating bell peppers. That being said, the food really was delicious and I appreciated the attempts at more than one gluten free or dairy free offerings. While I am neither of those things, it's always the mark of a place that's up to date on food trends and cares enough to accommodate as many patrons as possible. Despite the couple of negative, but fixable, points I enjoyed the evening and would come back with pleasure. read more

First, i know I'm dining in concord.. but still these are tacos and margaritas. The bill before tip for two taco plates, a corn Ap (brought with dinner so our tacos could chill while we ate ) and cocktails was a whopping $85! These are small and not top shelf drinks! I will say the food is good as are the drinks. The people are very nice but there are some very junior staff that seem nervous and a bit clueless in a restaurant atmosphere. I want this place to be phenomenal but for prices like this I want to be wowed. And charging us for a second small bowl of salsa when we only had one order of chips was a fine finishing "says it all." read more

It's a favorite cuisine of mine, I cook authentic Mexican cuisine well and often, and I regularly favor the great Mexican restaurants around the area. Drinks: too sweet. Lime flavor not prominent. We didn't even order seconds. Bar menu lacked sophistication. Chips great. Salsa v good but too salty. And I love salt! Tacos. Over filled. Tortillas looked handmade and were excellent but the amount of filling should be in four. Or drop filling down and charge less. Pork in the pastor seemed like tenderloin, not butt or loin. Too lean and too tough. Flavors were off too. Lastly, filling seemed not fresh. Had the taste of leftovers. Fish taco was good. Fish crispy. Frijoles con Puerco was dreadful. Texture was all wrong. Chunks of overpowering chorizo and green olives (why??). I love the ingredients separately. Together it was a mess. And terrifically overpriced. Service, as is the premise by this particular owner, was too young and spotty. Atmosphere was cool. I like it. But Saturday night at 7 and it was less than half full. It's a miss. read more

Great spot. Attentive service and good food. No complaints at all. Dined here last week with my fiancée and had a great meal. Made a reservation and was seated immediately even though they seemed very busy. The service was fast (but not rushed) and the food was great. I almost ruled this place out due to the negative reviews posted here - I'm very glad we went. Disregard them. I'm not sure if it's the yuppies / entitled folks with the negative reviews...but this place is good. Complaining that the portions are too large? I didn't think so, seemed normal sized. Complaining it's overpriced? Seemed pretty average for the area and type of spot (organic Mexican). Complaining that you can't order things...not...on the menu? How is that a complaint? We thought that arriving just before 5 pm on a Saturday night was good planning for this very popular new restaurant. What we found was very surprising--people were already queuing up outside the restaurant awaiting its opening. We were able to get a seat despite the line but note that by 505 pm the entire restaurant already was full. The food was very good. The real standout for us was the aguachile de vieria (scallop cerviche). The chile renenos was nicely roasted but a bit flavorless. Our server was very sweet and our food came out promptly. We enjoyed the complimentary bowl of freshly made tortilla chips with salsa. A refill for the chips costs a small extra fee $2. This restaurant is a really nice addition to West Concord. I just hope having to queue up before the restaurant is opened on a Sat night doesn't become a routine occurrence. read more

Don't believe the overly negative reviews -- Adelita is making good food for going-rate prices and is worth checking out. Try the agua frescas like Jamaica, which is sort of a hibiscus iced tea. Really fantastic. The menu is a long list of items that are all similarly priced, which makes it hard to separate those that are appetizer-like from the entree-like ones. The servers suggest 5-6 plates per table of 4, but it really depends. A single 3-taco plate or their no-kidding entrees easily satisfies an adult. The appetizers toward the top of the menu are just that. We tried the fish tacos, the carnitas tacos and the raw scallops. Fish tacos were quite good -- crispy fried with some raw cabbage and a nice sauce. The carnitas were also good and both came on (what seem to be) house made corn tortillas that were quite good. We thought the tacos could have a bit more daring flavor, but they make a better meal than what you can get at most other restaurants in the area. The raw scallops are good if you (1) like raw seafood and (2) like hot peppers. They burn the front of your mouth, not your throat, and the heat dissipates pretty quickly -- no slow build up to a heat that you can't get away from. The free chips and salsa were good too. To top it all off, they do have a kids menu (12 and under) and those kids even eat free Mon - Thu before 7pm! read more

Food: Incredible. Thankful to get a healthy, filling, avocado-loaded salad in this area of Massachusetts. We've desperately needed something like this for ages. My salad was one of the best things I've had in the area in a long time. Sustainability: Bravo! I was so pleased to see the organic foods and the sustainable servicewear (compostable utensils for to-go options!) Pricing: Too high. Despite the all-organic menu, the service and atmosphere do not merit the prices being charged but I genuinely believe they're only over priced by a few dollars at most. Service: I came in for take-out so do not have the full experience, however, I wasn't impressed. It required 4 different employees to locate my food because the two junior staff members couldn't recognize the dishes being offered. A manager was able to quickly rectify the situation when he found my order in a mis-labelled bag. When we saw that a new Mexican place opened in Concord, we were very excited. It's almost impossible to find decent Mexican in this area. We're not the only ones. Such high expectations. The owner is also a participant in Wood Hill Farm (the farm-to-table restaurant near by) and much of the meat comes from there. There was an article in the Concord Journal about the chef and this journey to Mexico and authentic recipies... Wow, we thought! The place was so packed the first time we showed up that we couldn't go (over an hour). The next time we tried, it was pretty early (like 5:30) so we got in. No reservations taken. Probably the reason for that is the speed of the place. The menu is very big on little plates and the kitchen is preparing them all the time so the food just flies out. The bar is well stocked and the margaritas are excellent. I mean, dinner for 2 was done in like 40 minutes or something. The Tacos al Pastor were good, but everything in general was a bit bland. We also got a large plate (Chili Rellenos), which is one of my favorites, but alas, it was just really bland. I'm glad we have another dining choice in Concord. The price is OK. The drinks are OK. The service was fine. But for that kind of wait, I expect better food. It's just underwhelming considering all the fanfare. We may give it another go once all the hype dies down, but for now, it's a pass. read more

Have eaten at Adelina's at least a half a dozen times... the food is never that good, but the drinks are and my kids like the vegetarian options. Last night we went (myself, my husband and our 2 adult kids) and spent $180 (including tip) on 3 drinks, 4 meals and guac. For that amount of $ we had a waiter who acted like we were bothering him just by being there. He took our drink order and explained, w/o us asking, that someone would bring chips & salsa, but not him, it wasn't his job. We got the chips & salsa and had them w/ our water. The guac we ordered came but no drinks and our chips were gone. We asked him for more chips and he said someone would bring them, he doesn't walk to the back of the restaurant much, so he wouldn't. Finally got our chips and drinks and ordered our meal. I explained that I have a shellfish allergy (like I always do when ordering anywhere and have in this place ever other time) and he stammered and said if I wanted him to write that down that my order would take longer and it would be a whole thing involving the manager. He said they don't have any cross contamination in the kitchen and they don't even really have shellfish on the menu. They have shrimp in at least 3 dishes on the menu. I let it go since I haven't had a problem eating there before but was bothered by it all night. The meal is pricey and the food isn't true Mexican to me, the prevailing taste in the quesadillas I had is onion. The chicken is dark meat pieces that are tough. Super noisy music plays, when it's unnecessary. Not sure this will be a pick when we do try and go out. read more

Overall, I liked the place but this is 100% gringo Mexican food with a Spanish flair which is confusing at best. They serve small plates (tapas style) but everything is Mexican. Our food was not staggered in the least. They brought everything out as it was made which means we quickly ran out of space on our table. The food is amazing!! I will definitely be back but I hope they work out some of the kinks in their service. Oh... & tequilas are way over priced. Well worth a visit!! read more
