Leila Nails It -- and Cares About Your Nail Health Too! I…read morefound Leila Nails It by total accident and couldn't be happier that I did. From the moment I sat down, I knew this wasn't going to be your typical nail appointment. Leila is so friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly loves what she does. What really stood out to me was how much she cares about the health of your natural nails. Mine were damaged from thick dip powder done elsewhere, and she immediately noticed and took the time to gently work with them while explaining how we could get them back in shape. Not only did I leave with beautiful, clean, natural-looking nails, but I also felt like I had just caught up with a friend. If you're looking for someone talented, kind, and genuinely invested in their clients -- Leila is your girl. Highly recommend!

This girl is talented!! I've always struggled with having builder gel/hard gel last, it always used to lift at the cuticle. Leila is so meticulous that I don't have they problem anymore. She is thorough in there ability to perfectly clean up the cuticle and prep the nail for polish. My manicured last for 5 to 6 weeks now, something I never would thought possible. Leila is incredibly talented, she can do pretty much any design that one would desire and she's always coming up with new techniques to make your nails stand out. Leila is located inside of Lola's Salon, there is usually parking but sometimes another business in the strip mall seems to have an event going which clogs parking up. Leila maintains a clean and comfortable space with a soothing ambiance. She is polite and always on time. She always is just a genuinely nice person, you can tell that she loves her craft and she cares about her clients being happy. Leila also offers a loyalty punch card which is so cool. She is working towards becoming an educator for one of the polish brands, which I don't know anyone else that is going that route so I am impressed. I highly recommend Leila!

I arrived about 10 minutes before and was greeted and asked if I wanted tea, coffee, or water. Picked my color, sat in the chair, and started the pedicure. At first I thought the leg massage was a bit short but oh no, the leg massage came AFTER the polish was applied. The massage was likely the best I have ever received with a pedicure and doing it after gave the polish time to dry. What a great idea! (I've never had that happen before). Small family-run business with three pedicure and two manicure stations. Clean and bright, even on a dreary, rainy day. My salon at home advised me to stay away from salons that use the plastic bags so I was happy to see they were not used here. I didn't ask ahead of time what the price was and was pleasantly surprised to learn it was $40, less than I pay at home. There was no upsell pressure, just one of the best pedicures I've ever had! Easy five plus stars!

Pricing was affordable which makes me feel comfortable going more often as nail prices and everything has gone up tremendous! This is a smaller salon, I saw maybe 3/4 pedicure stations and 3/4 nail stations so I am not sure of how busy they get but I was thankful to be able to walk in that day!

She also did not reshape them correctly and she did not file down the other nails to match length even after I asked her to. The layer of acrylic she applied was so thin and burned my fingers. She also filed off some of the nail finish and didn't fix it even when pointed out and she noticed the problem. My friend I was with also asked for a very simple monochrome stripe design. The man cut her finger multiple times with the dremel tool with the acrylic, got UV-cured gel polish all over her fingers even after "fixing" it. He attempted to do the stripe design and the lines were all over the place. she showed him the inspo photos and it did not look anything like it. She ended up scrapping the design and opting for a chrome, which got all over her fingers and he didn't wash it off. Overall the place seemed clean but the vibe was unprofessional and seemed like they did not want us there. Not sure if it's just because of the time we went (midday on a Friday) but I would caution people on going here if they want anything other than a solid gel nail color.

Five Stars All the Way! I absolutely love coming here to get…read moremy nails done. As someone who's newer to Anchorage, I initially tried a salon closer to home--but after long wait times and even a nail fungus, I knew I had to find somewhere better. A family friend recommended this place, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Lucy usually does my nails and she's amazing--super sweet and always excited to try bold, fun colors with me. Everyone I've interacted with, whether for nails or pedicures, has treated me with kindness and respect. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is professional, and I always leave feeling pampered and happy. I'll definitely keep coming back!!

I was a walk in for a full set on Saturday at 1 pm. I realize that this is not an easy act to do…read more They did seat me within about 10 minutes MAX. This is why a one star feels accurate. I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted, she asked if I wanted dip or if it needed to be acrylic and told her that I didn't care how this design was done but I wanted it to look just like the inspo pic that was posted here. She said that's fine I can totally do that. She did the service and even corrected the nail that I saw was crooked so that it wouldn't be when she dipped it. She also cut off the acrylic a little long and I told her I wanted them shorter like the picture and she said she just was leaving room for filing. She was a great communicator. When she did the top coat she added a glitter top coat which was not pictured and I thought, "it's not the end of the world I'll just take it". Well we got to the check out and I looked at my nails and they are not what was pictured. I was pretty frustrated but left to go pick up my car for an oil change. I sent these pictures to my sister to see if I was being too high maintenance and she agreed that this was not done well even to the standards of the other pictures posted on the reviews. So I called the store and asked to speak to the manager (against every bone in my body) and politely asked if they could get me back in to just level out the dip and reapply the top coat and trim the side of my nails in a little bit. The store manager told me she would be happy to fix them at 5 pm when they had time. I asked if there was anyone else sooner as I live in Girdwood and made the trip today as a little treat but needed to get back home sooner. She said there was absolutely no time before 4 that she could get me in. So I agreed and called my fiance. I then called back to see if I could come show her that there was blood glued down to my nails, the unevenness and just get even a partial refund and she said she does not refund but is available at 5 pm to fix it for me. I am so disappointed in the response to fixing this. When I left the shop there were 4 techs sitting together hanging out, when I drove back by to get the images of the shop sign there were no cars in the parking lot. I will not be returning and I recommend either going to a different shop or being much more firm than I was when sitting in their chair. The job she did was $90 and I didn't even get the set that I wanted.
