I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted, she asked if I wanted dip or if it needed to be acrylic and told her that I didn't care how this design was done but I wanted it to look just like the inspo pic that was posted here. She said that's fine I can totally do that. She did the service and even corrected the nail that I saw was crooked so that it wouldn't be when she dipped it. She also cut off the acrylic a little long and I told her I wanted them shorter like the picture and she said she just was leaving room for filing. She was a great communicator. When she did the top coat she added a glitter top coat which was not pictured and I thought, "it's not the end of the world I'll just take it". Well we got to the check out and I looked at my nails and they are not what was pictured. I was pretty frustrated but left to go pick up my car for an oil change. I sent these pictures to my sister to see if I was being too high maintenance and she agreed that this was not done well even to the standards of the other pictures posted on the reviews. So I called the store and asked to speak to the manager (against every bone in my body) and politely asked if they could get me back in to just level out the dip and reapply the top coat and trim the side of my nails in a little bit. The store manager told me she would be happy to fix them at 5 pm when they had time. I asked if there was anyone else sooner as I live in Girdwood and made the trip today as a little treat but needed to get back home sooner. She said there was absolutely no time before 4 that she could get me in. So I agreed and called my fiance. I then called back to see if I could come show her that there was blood glued down to my nails, the unevenness and just get even a partial refund and she said she does not refund but is available at 5 pm to fix it for me. I am so disappointed in the response to fixing this. When I left the shop there were 4 techs sitting together hanging out, when I drove back by to get the images of the shop sign there were no cars in the parking lot. I will not be returning and I recommend either going to a different shop or being much more firm than I was when sitting in their chair. Highly unprofessional and highly disappointing especially since I work full time and get off right as they close during the week. I now have to walk around until the weekend with three missing nails and babying my hands like they are made of glass. Because they essentially are. Horrible horrible horrible quality of work here. Is what she said, but there is no right world where you pay $200 plus dollars for nails and they come off in 3 days for anything other than improper procedure and installment. Poor service on that end. Another lady walked in after me with an 11am appointment, they got to her at 11:28 so it appears to be the norm. Two days ago, I made an appointment with Tina & had her do a Shellac Manicure on my natural nails. I used to get gels else where, maybe once or twice a year. Gels are alright, but they often end up suffocating my nail bed. When I lived in Seattle, I had my nails done at Top Nail in Queen Anne. They had this shellac nail polish called Cat Eye Shellac. Ironically, I love all things cat eye, so this was a treat! I moved back to Anchorage at the end of August, so I had to find a nail salon that carried Cat Eye Shellac. Not only does Tina carry that line, she has many of the colors I love, and even a few new ones! Tina did an amazing job! I love the colors I ended up choosing. Being able to express myself really lifts my confidence, and Tina helped me with that. I will be back as a regular customer.

It was $90 for my gel pedicure service which is about average in town. I will be returning!
