I really like the vibe here. I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. This experience was a little different, but not enough to deter me from returning or recommending them. The outdoor seating is spacious and accommodating to large groups while the interior has high back leather chairs, high and low top and bar seating. I ordered a drink directly from the menu and my bourbon was substituted. When I asked why she asked the man there who confirmed that the wrong bourbon was used. She offered to re-make it twice but I declined. Now- I went on a Sunday. As I have in the past, which is happy hour all day and the sign was posted confirming that. They did not honor that and kept insisting happy hour is from 4-7, which it is, but the sign under specials says HAPPY HOUR ALL DAY SUNDAY. It's ok, just change the sign. The Admiral is a nice cigar lounge for the Baldwin Park area, it isn't too big with much seating inside, but has couch seating outside. The cigar options were smaller than I expected, but found a cigar to enjoy with a glass of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. There is a television inside that will show sports, and it almost turns into a sports bar. I'd like to return and look at more of their cigar options with the their bourbon and whiskey. read more

I met a good friend down at Admiral and this his fav spot. I must say I enjoyed myself here. Very nice spot with good vibes, they have a little small selection of cigars that are overpriced but every cigar lounge I go to I always support the shop. The drinks were pretty good as we had their Happy hour, but even still my bill was high with "Happy hour". Stuff was very nice but was acting somewhat strange as the night got busier and hours passed by and we were still there smoking & drinking. One of the waiters came by and told us he had to give us our checks as they were about to change shifts, and we understood and said no problem, but as the night still went on, the same staff was still there working so that was very weird! The place is great but the staff can do better, much better regarding customer service and communication. Been going for years for ladie's night and the last 3-4 visits I've been told by a young man and the two ladies at the bar that there had never been such an event there even that's the reason I go with my party and they have been the same people who have hosted ladies night before. They charge the ladies full price for the beer/wine even that's advertised different for the event. The hours advertised are different when you come in as they choose to close early at times if the place is not busy so you're left clueless on to why. TLDR: DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Arrived at about 8.30pm as part of a business group of 5 on a Monday evening expecting to be there for several hours. There were about 5 to 10 other patrons onsite when we arrived. Selected this location as it advertises being open until Midnight and it looked small, cozy and comfortable. However, we and other patrons were kicked out of the establishment by the staff at 9.45pm as they wanted to close because they thought it was a slow evening. No apologies offered. We sat outside while they put chairs on tables and vacuumed the place. Then the staff came round and took the ashtrays from the tables and demanded all the cushions from the outside seats and turned off the lights. When I confronted a staff member about the hours posted on the door stating they were open until midnight, I was given an excuse that the hours were outdated and hadn't been changed since the place has been open for 8 years. When i asked why they hadn't at least updated their website which also states the same hours, they looked at me, chose to ignore my question and then proceed to close and lock the doors and walk off. 10 minutes later as we were finishing our cigars a group of 4 guys jumped out of an Uber expecting to be able to get a cigar as the place advertised as being open. I encouraged them to look elsewhere (and am obviously now doing so for anyone else who reads this review when considering this location). They were disappointed as they were also visiting town and decided on this place for the same reasons I did - it looked small and cozy, and more importantly - said it would be open until midnight. To add to my disappoint for the experience, when I arrived, I asked for coffee as I don't drink alcohol. They said they had espresso which i thought was good, until it arrived at table. It was cold and was vanilla flavored. Discovered they didn't have anything that wasn't flavored and didn't have any regular unflavored coffee of any sort. Nor did they have any iced tea. The final and most damning indictment of this establishment is the cigars themselves. They have 3 wall humidor cases, so the selection is relatively limited, especially when considering their competition in the area. The stick I purchased and started to smoke I had to put down and give up on as it wouldn't stay lit and didn't taste quite right. Fortunately, I had my travel humidor with me, so I was able to smoke one of my own and enjoy myself. Closer inspection of their humidors revealed why. Hygrometers in each of their 3 humidors showed 77, 78 and 80% humidity respectively. The cigars were simply too damp. When i went to look at the humidor to inspect, I found one of the sliding glass doors ajar. Everything about this place speaks to a lack of care for the customers and their product. They advertise themselves as a cigar lounge. The experience says they are a bar with limited hours where you can happen to smoke a cigar. It's a pity really as the location definitely has potential to be something great. read more

We went to Beard in Baldwin food and wine festival last Saturday and found this hidden awesome cigar bar!!! I don't smoke but my boyfriend loved the selections of cigars. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere in this cigar bar. The decor is what sets it apart from other cigar locations. Very patriotic and Navy! Love it. Various options for seating and a variety of beers on tap as well as spirits. I saw a 1 star post from some guy named James, bashing them for no liquor or wine, but the guy I was with had several glasses of wine and I had my favorite Elijah Craig whiskey, so they serve it now. The staff was also excellent. Very attentive. Cigar selection isn't extensive, but you can bring your own and get some drinks. If I bring my own I typically buy one at the cigar establishment I am at to support the local guys. Give it a shot. The drink selection is not as good, but this is a cigar bar where the emphasis is more on the smoke than the drink, so that makes it fine. The atmosphere is great. They have a bar and, of course, the leather chairs to kick back with your cigar. The knickknacks throughout the bar are decidedly military and add to the great clubby feel of the place. I was a regular here for 3+ years. I saw the owner seated by himself doing some paperwork, so I went over to say hello and thanked him for having a cool cigar club so close to my home. He responded with : "You can thank me by spending some money". Not a cool guy at all. Arrogance with your best customers won't keep us coming back. Mind you, I had spent over $5k in this place in the two years prior according to my credit card statements. Comfortable chairs but that's it. Poor selection, poor service. My group and I got there at 940pm was told last call was in about 20min. We asked what time they closed because we wanted to watch the Monday night game and was told they close at 11 but maybe later depending on the traffic coming in. We got our drinks and sat down , lit our sticks. About 6 people came in after us in about a 20minute span. The bartender turned on the house lights on and turned the a/c up, came around turned off all the TVs on everyone. We all asked are they closing they said no, the other bartender came by asked us for our glassware and put our drinks into plastic cups. We asked if they could turn the game back on because it the third quarter was just starting He said ok. 5min later he came by to everyone and said the owner looked at the cameras and said shut down tell everybody to leave because it's not busy. My latest review is of a very Nice cigar lounge located in the heart of Baldwin Park, FL. Admiral Cigar Club offers the local Afficinados a place to enjoy a cigar and a drink of wine. Their decor is inviting and classy. Woman will feel comfortable and the men will feel like a hot shot. The prices on their cigars are a dollar or two more, but nothing that will break the bank. They also have music and offer ladies night on Wednesday, with 50% off drinks. They also have seating outside to promote the relaxing life style of a Afficinado, while turning my head to people watch. They have several beers on tap and plenty of wine available. I would suggest Cabernet with a full body cigar to get the mind and body relaxed. If you get the chance please stop by and check the place out.
