This was so much fun in the mall. Glass of wine, but the wine slushes is where it is at. Steve is awesome.

Hands down the star of the show was the shrimp dish, perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and honestly some of the best we've had in a while. Monica was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, our interaction with Mary was the complete opposite. She was rude and unaccommodating, which made our visit unpleasant. After ordering a few drinks, we decided to patronize another business. As a group of returning customers, we were also disappointed that no effort was made to accommodate us. We've supported this restaurant year after year, and we expected a more welcoming experience, especially as loyal guests. We hope management recognizes the difference that customer service can make and addresses these concerns so future guests--and returning customers like us--have a better experience.

Amazing restaurant with beautiful views…read more I highly recommend sitting outside. Even in July when it's scorching hot, there is airflow so I did not sweat sitting outside. The main benefit of sitting outside is you have a gorgeous view of the entire park. Being that we haven't been to the park yet it allowed me to see an aerial view of all the lands. It was also quite entertaining for my kids. I was afraid that this place would be packed but at 5 PM we were the only table outside by the time we left at around 6:30 there were three other tables out there. Inside is beautiful too, but I think outside is where it's at. Our server was absolutely phenomenal. He was attentive and checked in the right amount of time. We ended up getting chicken tenders and fries for the kids to share. Pro tip is there is a kids menu. They just don't advertise it. They don't have printed kids menus, but the server was able to tell us what the options for the kids were. Off the top of my head I believe there was chicken tenders, grilled chicken, and pasta with either cream sauce or red sauce. They all came with either fries or a fruit cup. Then my husband and I got a seafood tower to share. It was a good amount of food for two people, we left absolutely stuffed. The oysters were phenomenal. I loved the tuna sashimi, and the crab was great. All in all a fantastic choice. The drinks are also delicious. I tried the feta cheese drink, which lived up to the hype. It's definitely a unique drink, but if you like feta cheese, you'll absolutely love it. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. We were celebrating my son's birthday so he got complimentary gelato. I thought the gelato was amazing and would recommend. This place is a must go to if you were staying at the hotel. Everything was great and I definitely want to come back.

We walked into a space with a modern, upscale design, a glowing ceiling, a sleek circular bar, and a mix of indoor and outdoor seating that creates a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the energy of the theme park below. The design feels polished and intentional, and the transition from the hotel lobby to the rooftop is seamless, with the view becoming the centerpiece as soon as you step outside. The biggest highlight is the view. Sitting above Epic Universe gave the restaurant a unique perspective, especially at night when the park lights and nighttime shows created a completely different atmosphere. The outdoor seating is the ideal spot to take in the surroundings, and we found ourselves lingering at the table long after we finished our meal just to watch the park below. The interior still feels impressive with its polished design and attention to detail, but the outdoor area is where the experience truly comes alive. The food menu leans more toward shareable plates and elevated dishes rather than typical theme park dining. We started with the farmer's cheese with honey and pistachio, which stood out as a memorable starter with a good balance of sweet and savory flavors. Other dishes like the crab cake, calamari, beef skewers, and tomahawk offered a mix of options for sharing, making it a good place to order several plates across the table. The quality of the food was a step above what you might expect from a hotel restaurant, and the portions were well sized for sharing. The drinks are also a major part of the experience, with cocktails that match the setting and the overall style of the restaurant, each one thoughtfully composed and presented. Service plays a big role here, and the experience felt much closer to a hotel restaurant than a park stop. The staff was attentive and the pacing worked well for a longer dinner, especially when we were looking to take a break from walking around Epic Universe. The team guided us through the menu without being pushy, and the pacing of the meal allowed us to enjoy the view and the food without feeling rushed. Reservations are worth considering, especially around peak hours or if you want a specific table with a view. Bar Helios is less about a quick meal and more about the full experience. The combination of rooftop views, creative food, strong drinks, and the atmosphere makes it one of the more memorable dining options connected to Universal Epic Universe. It offers a chance to step back from the intensity of the park and enjoy a meal that feels considered and complete, with a setting that enhances the entire visit.

If you need any alcohol or want to get something special for a special occasion, here is the place to go! They are also online, which is a huge advantage if you are not in the area. The prices are fair and he doesn't gouge just because it is in the "tourist area" like some alcohol stores do. Also if you have any special requests, he will try to see if he can get them for you. We received some pita and eggplant dip as a free app, which I wish would have come out during our first appetizer rather than right before the main course. The food was hot and well portioned, I only wish there was a tad more flavor/seasoning on everything considering the price points of the items. The entire space felt upscale and luxurious. Our server was welcoming, professional, and very attentive. He took the time to explain menu items and provided detailed service throughout our meal. As much as we enjoyed the atmosphere and service, we expected a bit more from the food. The drinks were just average, and the calamari appetizer lacked the crispiness we were hoping for. We also ordered our steaks medium, but they arrived closer to medium-well. While I enjoy that the steaks has some fat for flavor, it was way to much. We didn't make an issue of it because the steaks were still flavorful, and we were genuinely enjoying ourselves. Now let me tell you about the star of the evening, the Blue Crab Fingers! Whoever decided to put these on the menu deserves an award. They were packed with flavor, and the toasted bread was the perfect accompaniment. Dipped into that delicious sauce, every bite was absolutely incredible. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée. It was just okay. Overall, we had a wonderful birthday dinner and enjoyed our experience. While there were a few misses with some of the food, those Blue Crab Fingers alone are enough to bring us back again!

For that reason, I usually tend to avoid liquor based drinks because they're usually on the light side with a very mixer-forward pour. However, this little bar tucked away in Harry Potter world serves a drink that's well worth your time & money. While they offer draft & canned beer, wine & non alcoholic beverages, the real star here is the Lobe Blaster. This dangerous, yet delicious, drink is a mix of moonshine, limoncello, absinthe & has an emulsion verte floater; it sure does the trick. It's mixed with lemon juice, club soda & simple syrup so it's super refreshing also. The rosemary gives it a nice aromatic profile as you drink it. The bartenders were really nice & they fully play into the theme. There wasn't too big of a line when I went but the drinks are poured to order so it takes a little bit of time. As long as it's under 20 minutes, I'd be okay with waiting. I found for the price point, this drink is by far the best tasting & strongest drink in Epic Universe. In fact, I've never had a drink this good (or strong) at any theme park. If you're in Epic Universe & seeking out a delicious adult beverage then look no further than Bar Moonshine.

I really enjoyed Bar Moonshine, but I give it three stars because there's nowhere to sit and enjoy…read morethe cocktail, and that's a huge missed opportunity here. What it gets right: - Well-made cocktails, including classics and creative originals. We enjoyed the Philosopher's Old Fashioned and the Fleur 75. I like an Old Fashioned where I can taste the bourbon, which was the case here. It could be improved by using a single large ice cube, particularly in the Florida sun, where the cubed ice could dilute the drink too quickly. Went back through to try their saison, which is brewed by a local Orlando brewery. It was a bit tangier than prefer, but was refreshing on a sweltering day. - Friendly service. The bartenders were that happiest and most engaging employees we met. - A large-mirrored bar featuring its many selections, usually with some art deco or other architectural feature. - An overall upscale feel. The overall atmosphere is somewhat diminished by the nostalgic aspect of the American Quidditch team pennants adorning the bar. Usually such overt displays of Americanism are avoided, instead letting the craft and level of service speak for itself, but without it it might not feel very 'wizard-y' so I'll look past it. What it gets wrong: - I lived in Europe for several years and have been many of the so-called "American bars", including some quite well-regarded and famous ones. What's missing here is the intent. Universal reminds you that you're at a theme park by turning this into a quick-service location. I get that Universal probably doesn't want to make a session bar in its theme park, in part because they probably don't want to encourage consumption of multiple drinks in quick succession (though I did do that here) before people go on thrill rides. That's fair. But in doing what they've done here, they betray the intent of the American Bar. The American bars of Europe are not road-side stops. They're session locations you hit up before or after dinner or the theater. It's almost better if Universal hadn't even made it, because they created a place where you want to spend some time, but can't. Still, probably the best cocktail in any theme park, and better than most standard American restaurants too, and at surprisingly reasonable prices.
