We stayed in cabin #42 which was beachfront and directly across from the shuffleboard play area, the fire pit, and playground. This cabin was in a good location on the property for accessing those amenities and enjoying the view from inside or from the large porch. The cabin itself is so cute inside at an initial walk through and we just loved it. The air conditioner was on when we went in which we appreciated because sometimes hotel rooms can be stuffy at check in. The check in process was pretty quick and easy. I booked via phone and was not told until I arrived that they have a one pet policy. This was also not listed on their website. They prefer pets not be on the furniture, but have no way of enforcing it which we found out the hard way... The comforter on the bed had clearly been peed on by someone's pet at some point as it had a big yellow spot when we removed it (we never keep comforters on in hotels because we don't know how often they're cleaned). The sheets and other blanket seemed clean and didn't have any scent - urine nor laundry. We quickly discovered the building is slanted which made for a strange and almost disorienting experience walking around. At 5 minutes past posted checkout time, they rang the room repeatedly to tell us to leave even though I asked for late check out (30 additional minutes) since I had a work call scheduled. The room, aside from the comforter, was clean and the space was charming. The view can't be beat and the price was really good for the location. I probably would've considered staying here again, but I have 2 dogs.

The floor slopes a bit in this cabin but it made no difference to our comfort. It has a nice comfy bed and the large bathroom has a walk-in shower. The kitchen was equipped for our needs and we cooked several meals there. We had great privacy and a lovely porch to hang out on outside with chairs and chaises. The beach is wonderful with great views. It's not a Hilton resort and that was perfect for us It's a nice, laidback comfy place to stay with nice people working there. It's very reasonably priced and it's located in a less touristy area within easy driving distance of Acadia and most coastal towns. 10/10 we'd happily stay again!

That said, the utilization of the space is very well thought out. My only suggestion would be to add some hooks by the door for extra hanging storage! We would definitely be back, but would probably level up and reserve a Cottage for a bit more shower space :)

Check-in was easy and the people who work there are very nice. It is very thoughtfully appointed with a comfortable sitting area and perfect small kitchen area. We actually cooked and found everything we needed to prepare our food. (Grocery store in town is tasty but somewhat limited. Try Hannaford's in Rockport for more selection.) The bedroom and bathroom are comfortable with nice linens and a comfortable mattress. The wall AC and box fan were perfect to keep us comfortable. There are two cute balconies off of the main sitting area. The area seems very safe and we kept the windows open most of our stay. Only suggestions for the host are to provide more pillow options and more spoons! I didn't ask while we were there, and Mary Jo would no doubt been able accommodate these requests for us. She provided us with the BEST restaurant recommendation and is on site for great responsiveness. Definitely a place we would stay again, summer or winter!

We rented the Kineo cottage which is beautiful inside and out. The view is breathtaking as well which makes this stay even better. We will definitely be returning here, but in a different cottage; Heck, we might actually get married here in Camden!
