I am cleaning out several of my closets and have a lot of designer clothes that are new with tags or only worn once. I tried to look online for directions or instructions on how to consign with them and there's nothing listed. I was trying to send business to local businesses since we live in Wake Forest so I was hoping to send business here. Today while running errands, I stopped in and asked how to make an appointment for consignment. She looked me up and down and said they don't take just anyone's clothes and tossed a four page pamphlet at me with a list of clothes they don't want, designers they don't want, and how to properly clean and present cloths to them. The whole thing seemed very harsh and abrasive. When I told her what items I had she was like "well I'm booked until June so you can try back then." I was floored. The store is extremely dated looking despite the requirement for "in style" fashions. I will not be back to shop or consign here. I do not recommend them whatsoever. read more

I do not write Yelp reviews (this is my first), but it had to write one today. I have been shopping at Next for years, and Next Consignment Boutique is my go to place. Between a choice of going to the mall or coming to Next, Next wins every time! My husband appreciates that and I get so many compliments. I am so big on customer service and I love the way that they greet me at the door and makes me feel like I am shopping at a high end department store and that "boutiquish" feel while shopping. The quality of their clothing is great and you can tell they take great thought and care in the clothes, shoes, handbags, and jewelry they consign. I also appreciate the diversity of styles as well, something for all sizes, shapes, colors, and price ranges. The pricing is very good in comparison to the quality of the clothing! I have brought many of my "true mall/department" store friends here and they are also so impressed and I have even caught a few in the store when I've come to shop (LOL!!). Thanks Next! read more

I stopped in to ask for details about how to consign some items. I tried looking online to get the directions of how they wanted items presented. No details on the website so I decided to stop in and ask. I have brand new items with tags on them for the fall and winter. I was told to come back in March at her next appointment. I will not be back and do not recommend a visit. The lady was not very nice. I understand you may not always have nice people day in and day out, but you should not take it out on every person that walks in the door. read more

Been here a handful of times and after looking at what they had for sale i thought I would try to sell some of my clothes. I walked in as soon as they opened and told the woman working I was looking to sell some items. She proceeded to look me up and down and tell me they won't just take anyone off the street and I needed to make an appointment and there's no appointments until May. I am happy to make an appointment but could do without being judged. She didn't see the clothing I brought but everything was in line with the brands and quality they have for sale. I have been dealing with this consignment store for almost 10 years now and been a loyal customer since back in the day when they were in Raleigh off of Litchford Road. The "new" location in Wake Forest is amazing! So much space and the merchandise is displayed beautifully. They are also particular about what they will and will not accept which means you can find some great buys here! The staff is about as friendly as they come and they are very accommodating. The prices are reasonable and I've managed to make some decent money there over the years. read more

This is my all-time favorite boutique to shop in! I love the staff and the way the shop is set up. There is always tons of clothing, shoes, purses, and jewelry to choose from. Everything is a third of a price as retail and it's so budget friendly!!! I send all my friends here as there is something for everything here. They also have designer items & plus size items. Next Consignment Boutique is full of great deals on not just women's clothing, but jewelry, shoes, handbags and kid's clothes. When my 12-year-old daughter and I go there, we always find something and it's usually marked down even more than the already low prices for designer, name brand items. Downtown Wake Forest is charming and this place makes it a great place to find clothing I can wear to work, for fun or even for dressy events. read more

I was just told by a co-worker Next Consignment had a new owner so I decided to head to Wake Forest and check it out to see what's new. The clothes have always been a little pricey but when I looked in the jewelry case I was flabbergasted. The simplest of costume jewelry necklaces were marked $40-$50, non-ornate simple small sterling earrings $35-$45 and don't even get me started on sterling bracelets that may have a stone or be pre-owned "designer" $399-$599. I'm not sure who they're trying to appeal to or what passing through customer will pay these prices but they are not for the everyday, working, all-be-it successful woman who lives here. I guess I'll go back to my other favorite places and online sites. read more
