I needed just a cleaning due to the fact my daughter is having a second reception here in Salem in less the 2 weeks. I called and with the most confidence was told that it would be no problem to have it done and done within a week. Both the owner and I are both kicking ourselves now. Why. Because the ENTIRE bottom, up at least 3 to 5 inches..... was black with soot/ash. AND a clumsy bridesmaid who loves red wine. We are kicking ourselves because we both neglected to take before and after pictures. SHE DID IT!! The dress is clean and beautiful. The owner was confident, friendly, reassuring, professional and .... amazing. She did it in the time she said she would and she charged me ..... well. .. I feel she under charged. It was done terribly and looked better broken.

She gets very overwhelmed and most of the places we had a consultant breathing down our necks! Not here! We were able to try on 15 dresses in a hour. I've been consigning and shopping here since I moved to Oregon in 1995. It's so much fun to get a…read moregood deal and at the same time get rid of clothes you no longer want - and make a few bucks. I was sorry to see the old management go and learn they had fired all personnel, but I also understand that they had a different business plan, and sometimes this sort of thing is needed to make a fresh start with new policies. I've mostly been happy when consigning although sometimes the low price they place on a Pendleton or Clarks item I've consigned blows my mind and I try not to get upset. I've mostly been pretty satisfied with the amount of items they accept from me to consign (I'd say they accept at least 80% of what I've brought in), but the last time, I brought in over 30 items, most new but without tags, and they didn't accept one single item! One has to consider their current stock and think maybe they already have something like you brought in, and they didn't take? But I was bummed as I am an old lady and had to schlepp my stuff to my car from my apartment and then into the store, and then the reverse. I'm sorry to hear of the many complaints about employee attitudes here. That has not been my experience in the least! I'm always asked if I need assistance and they scramble to help me find things that are going past their consign-by date (when they would ordinarily go on sale or get donated), when I want to rescue something from them that I've consigned. I DO like to shop the discounted items in each section and appreciate how they put them on the end of each section, so I can walk down the main aisle and peruse them. These items (priced according to the current % off color that hangs from the ceiling) used to be sprinkled throughout the store and not kept together in each section, so for us bargain shoppers, this is a fantastic way to shop!

I had a great consultant, I found a dress, and I never once felt uncomfortable as a plus size shopper (which was my biggest stress point). Faith did an excellent job narrowing down what would be perfect for me by asking questions in order to get me to articulate why I did or did not like something, helped me into all the dresses without any hesitation, and found dresses that were flattering for me. Best of all, there was way more in my budget of $800 max than I ever expected! Faith also was great at making on the fly alterations to the dresses to either make straps fit better, adding petticoats to make the dress fuller, clipping unwanted fabric out of the way as needed, etc. - thank you for all you do! I also had an amazing experience picking up my dress after having it altered; the pockets were laying a little weird with the dress on and they fixed it on the spot in about 20 minutes for me.
