Pepe's Cafe was one of the best breakfast eateries we've had in Cottonwood! As you enter the establishment you are greeted by who appears to be the owner. The serving staff were all exceptional! Service with a smile! The 3 meat omelet with their home style potatoes was very scrumptious!! My wife had the veggie omelet cooked just how she wanted it. The ambience was very friendly. This place is the real deal. I was greeted and seated right away, and both my server and a man who I believe is the owner were incredibly attentive. My food came out quickly. The place, including the women's restroom, is as clean as a whistle. I order the chili (pork) omelette. It was delicious, as were the hashbrowns. Their iced tea was good too--not watered down and not bitter. On top of everything else, they are open at the asscrack of dawn for us early birds (all the old men and me), and their prices are low. This is a great diner! I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. They serve breakfast all day which I love. Steak and eggs are one of my favorites but all breakfast items are excellent. They have a great selection of lunch options as well. The prices can't be beat anywhere in Cottonwood. I honestly don't know how they make money besides the fact that they are always packed. The service is amazing and the owner is always welcoming every single patron in person. This place is absolutely amazing. Staff greets you at the door to seat you immediately. Owner is always there to help and make you feel welcome. Drinks and food are sent out so fast and everything is soooo delicious and cooked perfectly!! Hubs and I go once a week when our kid is getting therapy... No wonder they are such hard workers and so quick, almost everyone in there is Hispanic and so friendly I asked for salsa and the lady brought me like 5 different options and never made me feel bad and said she could even bring more if I didn't like those small little hometown feel and they opened the door for us when we came in. After a long journey, we stopped by and were instantly greeted & seated. The menu has great options, but I opted for the cheese enchiladas with French fries instead of the usual rice and beans. The enchiladas were flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy - a satisfying combination. Their horchata was another highlight, especially with getting a refill, which was a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Pepe's Cafe is a must-visit. As I walk into a diner I've never been before the greeting right off the bat was amazing! The ambiance was also amazing. I feel as if I'm at home in my grandmas kitchen with all my family members. Wow!! service here is absolutely amazing. Have been twice for breakfast and both times food and service were excellent. This place gets super crowded - even early for breakfast (ie before 8am during weekends). Enjoyed the breakfast burrito and hubby got bacon & eggs both times. Can't compliment the service enough. Very very friendly and accommodating. Kitchen seems super efficient and they have flavored creamer which makes my husband happy. We just bought a home in Clarkdale and suspect we will become regulars. Looking forward to trying for lunch next time! read more

Like arriving at your relative's house, arriving to Pepe's is heartwarming. We arrived early in the morning, like 6am, and were greeted at the entrance by an energetic man with a great smile. He treated us like family. Sat us down in a classic diner style booth. Fun atmosphere with great music playing in the background and a great staff. A different person got us coffee, and someone else took our order. While we enjoyed our coffee, we could hear the staff welcoming other guests and making each other laugh. Our highly customized order came out super fast and amazingly accurate. It was hot and delicious. We never felt rushed to leave, plenty of coffee refills. Bathrooms were average, but clean. On our way out, a priest and his entourage were coming in. (No, not the setup of a joke ). They were treated like royalty. Lots of hugs. Fun sight. Fun staff. Great place. read more

We were looking for a Mexican style restaurant that served breakfast and saw this location on yelp. They had good ratings so we gave them a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch so you have to get there earlier in the day if you want to get a spot. They were pretty busy, but the service was top notch with several different people taking care of our table. I ordered the special Spinach and Feta Omelet with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. My husband had the special Pork Verde Omelet. My omelet was nice and fluffy with plenty of spinach and feta. It was a 3 egg omelet and was just the right portion for my needs. The omelet was tasty and didn't have that waxiness that spinach can sometimes have when cooked. The hashbrowns were a bit thin and crusty and didn't taste very fresh. The sourdough toast was cooked well and worked with my grape jam selection. We came during the pandemic, and the staff was wearing masks and gloves. They weren't enforcing social distancing on seating, but there seemed to be adequate distance between tables. I would stop back in again for a good breakfast if I'm back in the area. read more
