Great pizza! As an alumni of UC, I was shocked nephews at UC had not had the Bearcat from Adriatico's yet. They loved it!

Will not be my go to for pizza. It was ok, but not great. We ordered take out of 2 pizzas. Their chicken bacon ranch was 4/5. I would order it again, we also ordered half pepperoni and half cheese. It was really greasy and just ok. I would try some of their other dishes in the future. read more

I totally forgot to get a picture of my pizza when it came out so i snapped a shot when i got back to my hotel. If you come from 3-6 that's when they have happy hour specials. I'm in town for 2 weeks and everyone suggested this restaurant to my friends and I. When tried it out it was pretty good my friends were most excited about the large selection on the rotating tap. I ordered traditional wings, a build your own one personal pizza, and a blueberry margarita. The the wings were yummy i always order sauce on the side so it's less of a mess. I got full off the wings so i didn't eat much of the pizza. The slice i did happen to eat was tasty just wish there was more sausage Instead of 2 chunks on each slice. The margarita was very sour it was good just very sour. Overall it was a great local eat i forgot to try the gelato but it looked delicious! The service was great. read more

I tried this place based on a lot of recommendations. I ordered the extra thin looking for a NY style pizza. Unfortunately the pizza didn't have a nice crisp to it. It felt like they put the normal amount of sauce they would put on a traditional style pizza. This caused the pizza to be less crispy. The sauce was thick and over powered the entire flavor of the pizza. Service was great and I did see many of the giant pizza I believe called BearCats walking out the door. Maybe next time I will try the Sicilian style pizza. read more

This place is a joke! A UC bar without the UC game? Apparently the manager is too cheap to invest in CBS sports even though this bar is right in the middle of a college campus. The amount of money our tab totaled up to by half time could buy you 3 months of CBS sports! Imagine if we stayed for a full game instead of going to another bar. read more

While I have raved about the pizza at Adriatico's before, I had never stepped foot in their newer location on McMillan Street in Clifton. Back when I was a resident in the area and attending the University of Cincinnati, Adriatico's was on the other side of campus and wasn't somewhere to go for a sit down meal. A couple of weeks ago my wife and I met for lunch at their new space which opened at the beginning of this year. Once we finally found parking (do not park in the lot neighboring the restaurant, as this belongs to Pomodori's next door) we entered the restaurant and were immediately greeted by an employee who showed us to a table near along the windows on the McMillan side. It looks like some large garage doors can be opened on nice days, which this was not. There is a really good selection of craft beer available, and the menu has a lot more than just pizza. We definitely came for the pizza though. Having never had much more than the really large "Bearcat" pizza, I wasn't sure exactly what to order at first. But then I soon realized that the Sicilian style crust that the Bearcat is served on is available in other sizes. My wife and I easily agreed to split a Sicilian with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. It was delicious, easily on the top of my list of pizza in Cincinnati. read more

Four stars for the pizza, two stars for the restaurant experience. I recommend calling ahead and picking up your pizza to go. We walked in and no one greeted us. People were milling around while employees scuttled about everywhere. I finally approached someone and asked if there was a wait. She said yes, but couldn't tell me how long. She seemed very confused. Finally, I gave up trying to talk to her and said we would just order for take out. That apparently was also confusing and chaotic. We managed to order, and went for a walk. Came back and sat down to wait, and watched more people come in and get confused on how to get seated, how to order, etc. I got the mid-sized crust, which I loved. Slightly spicy sauce, fantastic helping of cheese. My boyfriend got the thick crust, which was good, but too bready for me. Would get the pizza again, but get it to go. read more

Do NOT go to this location. General manager Tom Erbeck has absolutely terrible service. My sister went to order a pizza, and thankfully before she took a bite, she found piece of hair underneath it. Disgusting! She called back and they said they would remake it, and she also ordered tator tots as well in which she asked can they remake it because by the time she would get her new pizza, they would be cold. They refused and told her she would have to pay for a new order. Because she didn't want to cause any drama, she paid for them, got her new pizza and headed home. Once she got home, she realized they gave her mozzarella sticks instead of the tator tots that she asked and paid AGAIN for! At this point, she just wants her money back. It was too late in the night, and she didn't want to call late right before closing so she decided to wait until the next morning. She calls back the next morning and the general manager proceeds to say that she should have called back that night and came back and got them. He also refused to give her a refund on a simple order and stated that maybe, "she should go to Larosa's as it would be a better fit." Where is this hostility coming from? Why are you mad that YOUR restaurant messed up the order? Being very nasty and refusing to help the customer in any way. Is this really how you want to run a business? All she asked for was a simple refund which probably takes no more than 5 minutes, and to him it seemed like a big hassle. The general manager is not in the right field if he is going to act like that! In this situation, the customer was right, and should have gotten a refund and both parties could have gone about their day smoothly. read more

The food was good, but when it came time to pay, apparently the cash out system was offline and they couldn't use our credit cards. so then we all had to scramble to find enough cash between the three of us, meanwhile the waitress told us that we could venmo her and she'd pay the bill that way?? Or conversely they could write down our credit card info until it got paid and charge us that way. I get that this is a college pizza place but neither of those was a very professional way of managing a payment issue. We are from out of town and I dream of their veggie spaghetti! We come every time we are in town. On our recent visit, we purchased a cheese pizza with Sicilian crust (thick). The sauce of the pizza is a favorite (I like to ask for extra). It's got a bit of a kick to it but not overwhelming. The veggie spaghetti is pretty basic (just noodles and sauce) but it is absolutely amazing. Rich and delicious. The salad that comes with the pasta is not that great (iceberg was not fresh on my salad) but the taste of the other items makes up for it in my opinion! It is a bar style restaurant so I don't expect to have five star service, but the wait staff is good about checking in, keeping drinks full and bringing the food quickly when it's ready read more

I'm fairly disappointed in what Adriatico's has become. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, sausage and bacon, which was fairly delicious although a bit sloppy. I also ordered some fried pickles which were under done and absolutely sad. I don't think I will be ordering from here again any time soon. Good American style pizza! Tried the thin crust with red sauce and topped with sausage and pepperoni. The meats were really good. The spice was just right, on the milder side. The sauce was delicious, did NOT give me heartburn. The crust was not too heavy and had a good chew to it. There was a lot of cheese and overall it was a bit greasy. Typically I'm a fan of a lighter Italian style brick oven pie, but this night I was needing some tasty comfort food and this hit the spot. It was perfect for when you just need a beer and a pizza that doesn't make you feel super guilty but that satisfies your soul. This was that night and this was the place. read more

An awesome pizza joint right by campus. All you need to know. Start with the bread sticks, the pizza sauce is amazing and delicious. Move on to the other appetizers and the pizza is fantastic. Their sausage is unique and super tasty ( I usually hate sausage on pizza). If you have a crowd, get the bearcat, well worth the money and the crust is fantastic. Also, the board with all their beers is impressive, perfect pairing with your food. Plenty of TVs for the sports fans, and if your team is losing, go back to the beer. read more

One of my favorite pizza places. I order Pizza about 1x a month, and they've very consistent. Delivery always comes during their scheduled time period. I've tried all three of their crusts - I prefer their Sicily thick crust pizza. As expected, much more filling than their thin crusts. I love their sauce, which has more of a spicy umami flavor than sweet. Good amount of cheese, perfect when reheating to give a nice chewy texture. I'm usually full with 2-3 slices, and ordering the large can feed me for a few days. Great for those days when you can't put in the time or effort to cook during exam weeks. read more

I have lived in Clifton since the early 80's. Adriatico's has always been a staple for pizza here, but over the last few years the quality has gone down. The Sicilian thick crust pizzas are always under cooked with raw dough under the toppings and sauce. This has just gotten worse over the last few years. In addition, they added a delivery charge (Which they have increased), which is not bad in and upon itself, but just recently they want to charge for paper plates and napkins on top of it all. If I am spending $34(including tip) on a pizza there should be plates and napkins..... It is a little of a drive, but I guess I will be going to Trotta's now to get my Sicilian pizza fix. read more

After ordering takeout for years, we finally tried delivery (still not interested in eating in per my previous comment about noise). We were told our pizza (straightforward large extra thin crust) would be delivered in 45-60 minutes and, 2 1/2 hours later, when we finally got a text from the driver, we were pretty much over eating that night and ready for bed. I ordered the 'mild' wings, thinking that meant mild barbecue. They came out with Buffalo and were way too hot for me. They kept insisting it was mild but were nice and had them remade with BBQ, which were good. Just beware: mild does NOT mean mild BBQ! My favorite pizza place in all of Cincinnati, hands down! There can sometimes be a decent wait time d/t the popularity, but it's worth the wait in my opinion. Multiple TVs with a wide range of sporting events on, check! A massive selection of draft beer on tap, check! The thing that really sets Adriatico's apart though is the pizza....so good! Thick crust and full of flavor. This is worth the 30 minute drive for us to visit. It's the best New York style pizza around. I do wish they had a gluten free crust option, but I did not see anything currently on the menu. That reason alone has forced me to go across the street to Pieology, but Adriatico's is my first choice! read more

Not too shabby thin crust! As a self identified pizza snob, I really enjoyed the personal cheese and pepperoni. Went for lunch with some co-workers and was able to check out the sausage pizza as well. You can tell they put some thought into the recipes here which was refreshing. My co-workers went ga-ga over the place mostly because they have college memories attached to it. I can see how memories are made here and there was some memorabilia in the space. One little surprise I thought was worth mentioning is that they sell gelato here! I didn't order any but it looked so good. Maybe next time? This was my second time here. Trevon is my favorite bartender here, he's the goat. He's always so welcoming and always has a smile on his face. Literally the reason I come to this establishment , to hope that he's working the bar. Being a non beer drinker, he has helped me find my gateway cider into liking beer. I. Love. Adriatico's. I live out in the burbs and I will gladly drive down to Clifton for this delicious food anytime! First, they have like 40 beers on tap which you just can't beat with a stick. So many options, such a big beer belly in my future. Then there's the food. We have had both their pizza and my beloved Zoni. Their meatball Zoni is outta this world good! We also tried the fried pickles on our last visit which I have never had before- I'm a fan. Service has been hit or miss for us, the first time the place was absolutely packed and we had great service. The second time, we were one of maybe 5 or so tables at 10:30 or so and the food took forever to come out and when it did it was lukewarm. They heated it up for us and it was fine but we were a little disappointed on that particular evening. Parking can be a pain if you are there during their dinner rush so plan for a few extra minutes of driving around to find a spot on the street. Overall- this place is one of my favorites! read more

I can't even write a review based on the pizza, so maybe this will be a big ole mess. Came in for a late lunch, sat at a high top, restaurant isn't crowded at all. It took so long for a server to come by to greet us that my other half said "we should probably just leave. They won't notice anyway." Eventually a server came by and had absolutely no knowledge whatsoever about the beer I was interested in ordering, resulting in an awkward exchange. I think my fellow Yelpers have made it clear Adriatico's is one of the better pizza joints in this town so no need to really go into the food. But I must say the buffalo chicken egg rolls are AMAZING! Normally, I order my Adriatico's to go or have it delivered but the bf and I decided to dine in for his first Adriatico's experience (he's a Cincy native; CRAZY!!!) The place was pretty crowded for an early Sunday evening but it was the thick of March Madness so there were people watching the game and lots of families. We were greeted at the door and brought to a high-top table smack in the middle of the restaurant between the bar and lower tables. Issue 1 for me: the place is just so small and the seating is not very well set up. Eating at a high-top table is just not comfortable. The service was also lacking which seems to be a common theme with a lot of the restaurants in the McMillan/Calhoun corridor. Our server was incredibly rude about getting my bf another iced tea as well as when we asked about moving from the high-top table to another, lower sitting table (which never happened). After enduring our meal with a couple who was hovering over our table and food while talking to their friends who had seats at the bar I made a mental note that I probably will not dine in here again. read more
