Previously I would have rated their pizza as high average but I believe in order to keep up with goodfellas they changed something and their pizza has been consistently excellent since. I'm surprised it's taken us this long to go here but I'm definitely glad we did. One interesting thing about their hours is that they're not open for lunch on weekdays. Not sure why, but still, I'd say this place is definitely worth a visit. We went on a Friday evening, and though it was pretty busy, we were sat right away. We saw lots of carryout orders going out and almost everyone was enjoying the pizza, and of course, that's why WE came too. The decor is pretty cool too, like a combination of a sports bar and an modern NY Italian pizza place. The menu is loaded with options other that just pizza like calzones, salads, sandwiches and subs, wings, and different desserts. Their libations menu was impressive too, with lots of beer, wine, spirits (especially bourbon), and cocktails. Our server, Erin, was very friendly and inviting. I never really gave this place a fair judgement because it's a strip-mall bar, that Oooo, serves pizza, how original! I'd been a couple times in the far distant past and kind-of forgot about it. Occasionally I'd see pix or reviews touting the pizza, and I finally went back tonight for a take-out pie. I got The Goodfellow (pictured) and it was f'ing great! It's basically every topping thrown on one pizza. Sauce was great, crust was great, and I'll definitely be back for more take-out pizza and maybe try some of their subs. The place itself just is not my kind of place. Sports bar look and feel. Figured they'd only have 3 beer selections, Bud, Bud Light, and Miller Lite. I was wrong though! They had decent tap selection and very adequate can selection even for a beer snob(like me). The few songs that played while I waited for my pizza, "The Lady in Red," and Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone" played, amongst other late '80s "rock" songs played, so I'd say it's not a music snob(like me)'s cup of tea. So, look, feel, and sound of this place are all red flags for my snobbery, but it's beer selection and pizza quality can not be argued with. Good Fellows has been operating in the Anderson Towne Center since 2004. I'm in the area at least one a month and often pass by but had never walked inside until my family and I were in the area at lunch time. It always looked so dark from the outside I assumed it was more of a bar than a restaurant. But it turns out they are open for dinner every day of the week and lunch on the weekends. We were seated near one of the front windows and there was actually a surprising amount of natural light entering the space. I think that the red walls and dark ceiling make it look much darker from the outside than it truly feels inside. After placing our orders, we found a few games between our table and the entrance to help pass the time. A couple of arcade games were available, but the Foosball table proved to be the most fun! One of our kids is a pretty picky eater and unfortunately decided he didn't want pizza. We ended up with the Italian cheese stix with the sauce on the side ($5.99). I would have preferred one of other appetizers such as the pepperoni balls or the veggie skins, but these weren't bad. My wife and I decided to try a couple of the signature pizza offerings but splitting the pizza in half. Louis's love features olive oil, fresh garlic, artichoke hearts, banana peppers, black olives, and goat cheese. While the BBQ Grippo is topped with BBQ sauce, chicken, bacon, onion, cheese, and BBQ Grippos chips. Both were $10.49 for a 10 inch all the way up to $20.99 for 16 inches. I love BBQ Grippos and that half was an easy decision for us. I thought the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce complimented the spicier chip topping really well. This is a must try! Louis's love was much different, a more traditional pizza combination and was also good. Good Fellows has a couple of other unique signature pizzas include lemon pepper chicken and chicken fajita. The lowest quality of food I've had in quite some time. Ordered online for a quick pickup, only took 20 minutes and was super easy. Bartender was SO nice and the only reason why this place even deserves one star. Cheese sticks are served as a small pizza and are quite disgusting. Possibly the worst "food" I've ever eaten, for real, how do people digest this? Please do NOT order this. Potato skins are a little teeny tiny bit better... they're atleast edible. We went hear to try their pepperoni pizza for one of our pepperoni pizza review vlogs. The pizza was average at best. The sauce was kinda funky. We also got the cheese bread app and it needed to be more cheesy. The sauce you dip it in is the same pizza sauce so that was also disappointing. Overall, they had a great pepperoni pizza. It wasn't a wow pizza but it also wasn't bad at all and I would definitely come back for more. We also ordered the s'mores Nutella pizza, it was just okay, probably not something I would get again. Before writing this review I asked my boyfriend for his star rating of Good Fellows because I was kind of torn... He said 3 stars and I knew what my decision was. This place was just average. Nothing to dream about visiting every cheat meal but also nothing I would regret visiting. It is an average pizza and beer stop with a hometown sports bar feel. We wanted to go out to dinner for this cheat meal, which we typically binge at home Saturday nights but we wanted to go out but not going fully out. So we looked at pizza or burger joints we haven't tried yet in our area. After a few minutes of searching on Yelp I suggested Good Fellows. As usual my boyfriend wanted to see the menu and the moment he saw the BBQ grippos pizza, he was sold and we were off to Anderson Towne Center. We were cheerfully greeted by the hostess who placed us at a high top table right next to the door leading outside to their outdoor seating area. It's December so it's cold in Cincy and people kept going outside to spoke, so it was a bit chilly at our table but it wasn't awful to where I felt the need to say something and move. Once our server came, honestly I was shocked this guy was a server. He was so chill, said barely anything to us and was a polar opposite of the hostess but hey he got our orders right and kept our waters filled, just personality was a bit lacking. We started with the Italian cheese sticks which came out in like a cut small pizza style but just your basic cheese garlic sticks. Pizza was what we were going for and before coming I though for sure my boyfriend was gonna go for the Grippos pizza but he started thinking about the chicken fajita pizza and I quickly talked him out of it. Not because I wanted to try it... lol but because he has been severely disappointed with fajita pizzas in the past. So he stuck with the BBQ Grippos which was sweet baby rays BBQ sauce, chicken, bacon, onion, cheese and then all of that was topped with crushed Grippos chips. I was in the mood for just a classic cheese pizza so I just created my own with light sauce. Zach's pizza was pretty good and so was mine but nothing outstanding. Nothing I would hate having again but wouldn't go out of my way to have. Cool things I noticed about this bar: there is an insane and unreal amount of televisions. Like this would 100% be a sick place to watch football or any sporting event without missing a beat. They have their own small cooler where you can build a six pack of beer to carry out with your pizza! What a cool idea and a lot of the beer was local, which was another awesome point for Good Fellows. Overall this is a solid local business that is a great addition to the ever growing and expanding Anderson area. I could see I going back for a football game with some pals if the opportunity came up. Definitely check out that grippos pizza though guys. My lady and I have been coming here for quite some time. We are DONE!! We went there tonight, 1-14-18, about 7:00 or so.... the sign at the hostess stand states, 'please seat yourself'...... we walk in and see there are no tables.....no biggie.... we order 2 (over priced) beers......and wait. After 20 minutes or so..... we spot a table, becoming available..... We are approached by a manger, I guess, that states that we can't have that table because there were others that were there before us...???? That are seated in a spot they don't care for..... and we can't have the opening table, but there is another available soon.....???????...??????? First time being here and the pizza was definitely worth while. The cook brought it out and was very polite and helpful. Went here before it was rush hour and the hostess was already not compliant with our needs and made us feel like an annoyance. Even more, the waitress was extremely rude (Erin M) . As it started to get really busy she came up to us and said the exact words, "Ok you guys need to go." Then she just walked away. After that we waited almost another ten minutes for her to even get our check. If we really had to go so badly why weren't we are priority. Needed a pizza fix so I perused the pizza nearby and ran across Good Fellows (not to be confused with Goodfella's, Rockafella's, ) based on the ratings I was excited to give this pie a try. So I ordered it to go, arrived when they said it would be done, and it was. As the wonderful smell wafted throughout the car I Ran three stop lights and cut through a neighbor's corner lot to get it home hot. Opened the box, pulled out a piece and immediately removed my hat to pay my respect , as the pizza was at half staff. With my excitement now dwindling, I decided to give it a taste, propping the crust up to reduce the chances of the toppings sliding on to my shirt I took a bite, I took a bite, I took a bite (same bite) it was a damp,chewy, limp bite that seemed as though it was growing as I chewed it. Sadly I threw in the towel after the second piece. The bad thing is, the toppings and sauce seemed pretty good. Me thinks that the pizza was put into a non breathing box and the condensation took over like it does with French fries in a closed box.
