Cannoli and dark chocolate ice cream if one wasn't enough.

Now, officially my favorite restaurant on the Northern Neck! I made a reservation for Italian night before Valentine's day and it was off the rails the most romantic night in a long time. Part of it was that we finally arrived thru the blizzard with the joy that they were open! Only a few intrepid explorers had braved the elements and showed up. The waitress was perfect. Very personable, confident and knowledgeable. She was attentive when needed and left us alone which was great. The atmosphere was romantic and we had a great spot at a window watching the snow just bomb in. Only periodically did we see a snow plow go by or an idiot braving the elements. Wait, did I imply we were lunatics for showing up?? The meal was definitely worth the risk to life and limb. We started off with the calamari. It was so, so, so good. I'm usually indifferent to calamari, but hey - it was Italian night. So with a great bottle of house special wine (it rocked! take the chance) the calamari was buttery and perfectly cooked. On with my seafood kick, I had the seafood pasta dish. Clams, scallops, shrimp. All tasting fantastic with great seasoning and tomatoey acidic bite. The pasta was just perfect with it all. I'm still enjoying the meal writing this. Because we didn't know when our next meal would be. We were imagining being trapped in our truck over night. We went with the extreme calorie loading and ordered both the cannoli and a dark chocolate ice cream. They were great and we were DONE. I really can't wait to return to another Italian night at Adrift.

Service was wonderful. Quaint ambiance. There were six of us. We had fried chicken sandwich, baked oysters, wedge salad, trout, and mussels. Sauce for oysters great, oysters ok. Wedge salad, great. Trout great, grits a bit bland.

A strawberry basil dessert I can't recall the name of. But wow.

White Stone VA. I'll wait while you get out a map. Who would have thought that this little town would have two excellent restaurants? (The other in a separate review.) Wife and I came to Adrift on the recommendation of a friend for our 42nd (gasp) wedding anny. Should I pause here while you recheck the map? This ain't Washington DC or Tidewater or even Richmond. But it is a very special place to eat a wonderful meal. We structured our plans for an anny trip around this specific restaurant, 80 minutes from home. Look at my pics. Everything pops with color. Everything pops with flavor, restrained and controlled and well balanced. Every dish has an a-ha or what-is-that or I-had-no-idea-this-ingredient-could-taste-like-that moment (in a very good way) that piques the interest and pleasantly surprises. I will not do my usual dish by dish because the menu changes. Just trust me, every dish is a delightful experience. A great anniversary meal. Worth a trip from anywhere. Service was just excellent. Many happy memories.

Phenomenal desserts. Try the port wine with it.

What an amazing place , chef and decoram. Jordan was a great waitress offering recommendations and was always on time with drinks and courses. The food selection changes regularly and their presentation is fantastic. The cocktails and wine are very reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend Adrift when you're in the area.

Omg amazing. We ordered the baked oyster appetizer and loved every but of it. The bread was nice because we could get all the butter with it. I ordered the flounder for a meal and he ordered the soft shell crab. Both were amazing and perfectly cooked. We would definitely come back here. The wines were also nice too. Our server was a little slow but that's fine. We were enjoying our company together.

I visited Adrift while staying at the nearby Tides Inn this summer. Adrift is one of the more upscale, nicer restaurants in the area that sports a changing weekly menu. They have a variety of seafood on the menu, including mussels, crawfish, oysters, sea bass, and tuna. We ordered the baked oysters to start which were dunked in a buttery sauce. For entrees, I ordered the Crawfish Orzo, which was so incredibly cheesy, warm and gooey and they have a generous portion of crawfish. The setting was quaint and cozy, and our service was on point. Would definitely recommend this spot for a nice dinner if you're in the area.

Wow! I thought I would try Adrift for the first time and I was not let down. One of the greatest meals I have had in the Northern Neck. I had glazed pork shoulder, pork fried rice cake with bokchoy. Great service and very nice atmosphere. I am definitely coming back. Also the menu let me know what was gluten free.

Absolutely outstanding! From the menu, meal and service Adrift is by far the best restaurant we have visited in the region and tops in the central Virginia region. The presentation is impeccable; notice where the owners/Chef mastered their craft before landing in Irvington. My tuna was outstanding both in quality and presentation. Highly recommend.

A really sweet, beautiful spot in a tiny town. Sat at the bar and got a few snacks and drinks. All the staff had a smile on their faces, the food came out in a timely fashion, and all so delicious. I can't wait to visit again. I hate that the only picture I got was of a porcelain bird.

Simply Outstanding... Eclectic, minimalist, regionally oriented decor and vibe. The focus is clearly on impeccable food and service. Would go into details, but would be wasted effort as the menu changes with season, availability, and culinary inspiration. Suffice to say that all elements: apps, salads, entrées, sides, and desserts are artfully curated and prepared. Wine and bar offerings are selected with the same attention to pairings and quality. Service was engaging and attentive without being intrusive. Price - not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. Place is quite small, increasing in popularity, so RSVP suggested. We'll definitely be back. CLASS ACT all around.

Been here twice now and it's been flawless both times . Husband and wife owned and their passion for food and drinks and atmosphere really comes through . They take Local to the next level . You really feel like part of the crew even after just the first visit . So many favor layers and dimensions to each item on the menu! Staff is also very professional and friendly with

    The front door.

Excellent food. The food and cocktails where on point. I had the fried oysters with collard greens. The oysters where light and NOT greasy. The collards had a pleasant citrus note to them. I am not a collard green fan but I loved these. My wife had the baked flounder on top of black rice. She thought it was delicious. The kids got the fish and chips. The fish was destroyed by them. We are going to miss this place when we head home.

We had great conversation and service all evening with the bartender. This spot is definitely more of a pub type place. Food is American bar food with a coastal flair. I got the potato skins and my husband got some fried fish. They were both good but nothing to call home about. The bartender also came up with some pretty good drink options, I was surprised because I expected a standard bar with well drinks but she definitely experimented and had some great menu options to choose from. We walked down to the water for the sunset and enjoyed their little beach, it was a perfect nightcap. Great little spot in the area!

This is a sizable restaurant able to accommodate large parties with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was very attentive and staff very friendly. There is a big selection of food from seafood to burgers, pasta, pizza, bbq, salads, steaks, soups, and always specials of some sort- if your not sure what you want or your party can't decide (and even if you can) then this is your place because there is something here for everyone We have tried a bit of everything across the menu and didn't have a dish we didn't like. In fact I was surprised at how good they were given the variety. Add to that, that this is scratch cooking it makes it a bit more special. I particularly like that the restaurant makes note and practices using less salt to support its patrons health. I didn't find anything bland and certainly not anything over salted either. The restaurant offers a big beer list with many craft and micro brews along with full bar and wines. We tried the lemon cello cake for dessert and thought it was spot on- well balanced and not too sweet. Live music at times- check the web for who and when. A fun place to eat at and the food very much compliments to the fun. Definitely worth your try for a laid back restaurant experience with options for everyone. As a cafe, Willabys is a solid choice at 4+ stars in my opinion. Happy eating!

It quickly became apparent there were only a few employees, a bartender, a waitress, and the cook/owner. That said, service was great, it was obvious they were working as best they could to assure everyone was getting what they needed, and that orders were acceptable. Our food came out fast (we ordered fish and chips) and the servings were huge! Bartender even gave me a sample of their delicious red back sauce, which has a decent amount of heat for a restaurant sauce..... We need to make a point to add this place to our regular rotation of restaurants, they really work hard to deliver great food and great service, even though they are quite short staffed! Thé menu wasn't huge, but they had a section of ' summer grilled' options...pork, chicken, brisket,.....that Im sure would all be delicious! And a smaller menu is a good thing IMO, as they can concentrate on making the food they do offer delicious! If you go here, give the workers a break and understand the situation they're in. If you don't get waited on Immediately, know this has become all too prevalent everywhere these days; and most often, slow service isn't a result of slack workers....definitely not here!
