You can do it....we can help :) They lived up to that. I visit this home depot for lots of things and I must say they are extremely helpful. There are minor things like patching a hole, sealing a window seal, or assisting with ant killer or lawn seeding. Then there are major things (major to me) like replacing blinds - what brought me here now. I am sometimes not sure I can do it but they walk me through and they have youtube videos!! I was looking for blinds because mine literally separated and fell apart. I wasn't sure just looking for a replacement. Well, tje staff was patient. The lady that assisted me sat hours with me as we poured through the books and online. I really should have researched. I was impressed with the blinds on display. I decided (after hours) on day/night shades. She never complained and wasn't forceful. We came up with color scheme (something that will ultimately match the tile I will be installing on the main wall). We ordered them - custom order would take 3 weeks. Home Depot has a military discount (and I support stores that have one, Lowe's take you through too much for 10% - Home Depot is easy peasy). In less than 3 weeks, my blinds arrived in the mail. Nicely packaged and well maintained (not a scratch or dent). The hardware was separated and labeled. I watched the install video and in about 30 minutes - 45 minutes (because I couldn't figure out the snap :) ) I was done and had new blinds! read more

Terrible customer support, every time I try to buy tools, I have to track someone down only for them to get on the intercom and page someone who never shows up, multiple times! I don't understand the when they tell me it's not my department? You all work for Home Depot! Do better. Used to be a good store. My husband and I went to this particular Home Depot to purchase a washer and dryer set. I had already done the research online so I knew exactly which ones I wanted and that they were in the store. Despite having to search for several minutes to find an associate to assist us, he told us he would call for someone, but no one ever came. Meanwhile, he helped several customers after us in the same department while we waited with no help at all. My husband is Asian and I am disabled. While I cannot say with certainty that either of those facts played into this associate not helping us, it certainly is curious. We ended up leaving after several more minutes and no help and made our purchase of a high and washer and dryer set elsewhere. I feel comfortable spending my money at a different store that values my patronage. Are usually only post positive reviews so this is not some thing I do lately; however, the impression that my husband and I were last with was not a positive one. You might be well served to ensure that your associates are trained in equal opportunity customer service and how to avoid acting in a manner that could be perceived as discriminatory. I ordered a dishwasher on the Memorial Day sale. They neglected to tell me that their installers would find every excuse in the world to not install. I visited the store the Friday before to see if I needed any additional items for installation and was told by one of their staff that this is the usual behavior of installers. They stated that there was corrosion on my water valve where I could see none. They stated that the floor was not flush even though it would fit in the space per measurements that I carefully took. I'm going to think twice before ordering from them again. Disappointed. read more

Living in a city that has to Home Depot's within 2 miles of each other at times doesn't make sense. But on other times when we can't find products at one, you can guarantee the other has it in stock. So rather than having a super Home Depot, it's nice to have two in the neighborhood that we can go and pick up products that we need a guarantee low prices. read more

Came here and was blown away by the smart refrigerators (with 'bento box/origami' Esqe- Sanrio double sided pencil case like compartments;) some, with interactive 'computers' that allow you to create list, leave memos, reorder groceries--on the actual door! Others, allow you to look & turn on a nightlight by knocking; the high end options tell you what's about to expire,who has the best deal on select items on your List etc. I'm in awe. When's the last time your fridge gave you life aside from Netflix and chill? Individual temp controlled compartment options etc. This is game changing! How can you even look at your fridge the same? Additionally, since this is a Home Depot review vs consumer report blurb; Kim in paints was so incredibly helpful to me while color matching, she took great care to offer exemplary service; I can't thank her enough for going the extra mile! When I originally went to the custom blinds desk, the older gentleman sitting at the desk told me that "Tom" was not in today, and that they were shorthanded and that he didn't know what to tell me. I'm not saying I was racially profiled and received poor treatment based on my race but I found the reply strange. John Schaller in home & garden was very helpful. He was straightening out products on the shelves when I asked him a question. Then he offered to walk with me as he directed me to where I could locate the laundry room sinks - which I'm glad he took the time to do since I wouldn't have never found them because this store is huge! The store is pretty clean & neat thanks to their employees like John who take the time to make the items presentable. The displays of the varieties & prices of things are pleasingly noticeable. The sale items are great. Thank you for a good shopping experience and I will be back. Oh well, I just heard he has since resigned. I hope the store can hire more people like him. After an unproductive and disappointing experience at Lowe's in Columbia/Elkridge, I headed back to Home Depot in Annapolis to purchase an LG washer/dryer set. Home Depot vs. Lowe's: WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Ruby, the Home Depot sales associate, made our buying experience SO easy! We showed her exactly what we wanted (+1 for having the models on display) and she immediately processed our transaction. There were plenty of items in stock and we could receive our delivery as soon as next week. We actually do not need the set until early December and they were more than flexible with the delivery dates. Overall, we were in and out within 20 minutes. No hassles, no BS, no worries... plus they honor military discount by simply showing military ID. I will remain a faithful Home Depot shopper and look forward to receiving my new purchase. read more

When I purchased my dishwasher,I was not told that the delivery was separate from the removal of the old unit and installation of the new one which I paid extra for. I was not told that Home Depot contracts with an outside company to do the installation and that would be in a different day. I Was told by the delivery person that someone would be contacting me in 24 hrs. I never heard from anyone and after my first complaint to Home Depot the next day I got a call from about the installation company but he could not tell me when. He said he will call me back, but never did and when I call the number back to let I get a recording! It's two days now and I have a dishwasher sitting in a box in my kitchen. I have tried for 3 days to get them on the phone, NO ANSWER! Today my husband and I went into the store to get an updated status on an installer coming to our house to measure for a new door, the sale goes off in a few days, installers they say can take a couple of weeks and sales associates say they're not sure if the sale price can be honored! We're not looking to buy a cheap door, this door is going to cost much more money than I want to give HD!!! Horrible customer service. read more

The garden center is infested with rats. I pulled something off the shelf and 3 rats scattered. There is rat feces everywhere. I get that this is partial outdoors but to have dozens of rats in the products is a major health issue. Prices are ok. Definitely beats going to the Bowie location. read more

I am a business owner so, I understand working on a holiday is not an enjoyable task, however I always try to maintain a customer positive attitude. On Memorial Day, after I too had worked all day, I went looking for a grill. I went to the other Home Depot in Annapolis on Forrest Drive (see my previous review on that yelp page). After no luck at that one I went to this one where I did find my grill, however I was intentionally ignored by four different employees. One of which even saw me wave at him paused a second and proceeded down the aisle. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting, my business partner whom I was with asked a gentleman for assistance. He was very kind, but knew absolutely nothing about grills. I definitely do not expect all employees to know everything about their inventory, however he did not try to point us in the direction of someone that could. As frustrating as that was I eventually did get my grill, one that was assembled as well, and went on my way. I will no longer shop at any Home Depot. read more

Rating this Home Depot is a struggle. I've had some really great experiences here, and some mediocre ones. It averages out, for me, to 3.5 stars. Staffing is mostly good but when they drop the ball they really drop the ball. Too many times when you have to go to customer service for help who will-eventually-meet you in the appropriate aisle. *sigh* If you stick up for yourself you will get help. I like the self check-out - at most retail the worst part of the experience is the cashiers. Close to home we have two Home Depot stores and a small True Value. This Home Depot is where I choose to go most of the time. It's A-OK. Could it be better? You bet. read more

Bottom Line: Your typical Home Depot, but slightly better than the Forrest Drive edition. More or less, this is your typical Home Depot. It's slightly cleaner and better stocked than the other Annapolis store around the corner. Also, it's s stand along store rather than being located in a plaza so parking and navigating full carts of lumber is a bit easier here than the store on Forrest Drive. Most employees here are friendly and knowledgable but there are always s few who are just punching the time clock for a pay check. This store honors a 10% military discount but you will have to wait for a manager to approve the sale so don't use the self check out lines. read more

No Star NONE!! I was forced to put one. Purchased washing machine and warranty from Home Depot, Defense drive, Annapolis md, paid cash. Two weeks later still waiting for delivery. The store put the wrong delivery address in the system and although I have spoken to a number of people including the store manager, person who sold me washer and managers as well as employees of delivery service the address has never been updated in the delivery's books so once again i am told they will try again. NO THANKS. You can't make a delivery what does that say about your warranty insurance. Spoke to Managers: Abe and Joe then the delivery service: Marsha, Levi, Darlynn all of whom said they checked the delivery address and assure me that the problem was corrected. DON'T waste your time at Home Depot to purchase appliances Service is poor. NO problem with Best Buy. read more

I asked again about rain barrels, she put me on hold for a five minute wait, then she came back and said there are rain barrels in the Garden Center. I got my entire houses carpet ripped out and replaced with new. I'm talking three floors of carpet! Home Depot made it seamless and I loved the whole process. We are selling our house so o wanted decent but moderately priced carpet and there was no push to go overboard like a lot of carpet companies do. They came out within 7 days (I actually pushed them out a little further because I was out of town). A team of 3 guys came out and they were just awesome! They did an amazing job, cleaned everything, moved all of the furniture and were out within 5 hours. I would highly recommend Home Depot for carpet! read more

We had our hands on it, I paid for it, delivery and install scheduled for 2 days out. Phone call--sorry your item is not in stock should be in by December 23. They had sold my item to someone else. Called for manager. Finally got one. He will call me back. No dishwasher, week or more to get my money back, still waiting on manager. I will NEVER set foot in this store again. read more

Overall this location has seemed to improve in recent years. Multiple times I've had 5-star service. But it is a decidedly hit-or-miss on the experience. If I could sum it up: employees seem to go out of their way to help if/when you interact with them. If you happen to catch one, great! However, the store sometimes seems under-staffed, and it is possible in some sections / some days to wait considerable amounts of time for help to show up. Two experiences in the past month illustrate this: One day I stopped and was barely in an aisle 10 seconds before an associate came over, took the initiative to ask if there was anything I needed help with, was kind enough to open a box (something that didn't have a display model) and let me see its features before helping me load it into the cart. Awesome customer service! Cashier was equally pleasant. Same location, I stopped in to pick up something I had ordered online to pick up in store. I arrived after the time it was supposed to be ready and the order wasn't pulled yet. Friendly customer service personnel had to find a staff person responsible for pulling the order. It hadn't been pulled. It took some more waiting to round up someone and get the order to the front. Then wait to find a loader. (for an order that presumably should've been pull up & go). read more

Standard Home Depot, whenever you need your handy man/woman fix. Great bulk/bagged mulch and garden soil sales in the spring time. I'm not very impressed with the plant selections...they're usually dried up, over packed, or not well cared for when April and May roll around. Went to buy a grill a few days ago, and it seemed like the packaging on some products were all banged up. I don't know about you, but I am not buying anything that looks like it's been tossed around by stockers. Recommend that you have one of the employees open the package if you decide to buy an expensive item, to check if it's been damaged before you buy it. On a good note, the employees are super helpful when they're available. Memorial Day and Labor Day sales are always the time to buy all your big ticket items. They also have 10% military discount, which is always great! read more

This is more directed at the flooring measuring devision and not the floorIng department I have had two appointments with the home depot flooring to come out and measure and have been stood up both times. These give a time in the store then the measuring division disputes that the store had the authority to create a window of time in the day. The store and the measuring division apparently do not apparently communicate with each other. I took of work the second time and will NEVER try them again and am sticking with a local flooring company that has in house people to measure. read more

Over the last year and a half, we have almost completely remodeled our home, most of it DIY and we have spent close to $40k in this store on building materials etc. If wheat we have is in stock, there are no issues. The problem is every, EVERY time we have to schedule a delivery for a large amount of material we have gotten a call the DAY BEFORE the delivery telling us they do not have our order in stock and they are going to have to reschedule. Once the delay was two weeks, our most recent interaction we decided to contract the labor for an outside project and again, we get a call on Friday at about 5:30 telling us they won't be on time with the order. As a result I am now paying $450.00 a day to have my labor retained while I wait on Home Depot. I understand that stock moves and they may not have enough to fill an order, but it has been 12 days since we placed the order and they are just figuring this out. Whoever is in charge of verifying inventory and stock and tagging that for deliveries should be replaced. Ironically, the only thing that seemed to get their attention was calling the corporate number and complaining. read more

While Home Depot is somewhat of a standard as issued big box store and similar no matter where you find it, we have two in Annapolis and this one has many very helpful employees always easy to find and knowledgeable about questions you ask. I have had wood cut and the employee that helped me took time to talk about what kind of wood I needed for the job and measured and remeasured to make sure it was going to work for what we needed. The garden center is large and if you are lucky enough to live close and shop often, you get the best selection. Don't go expecting to find the majority of the employees being knowledgeable about plants but they try. They have a 10% military discount all year which is always appreciated. read more

Wanted to rent a cargo Van but didn't know inside measurement they told me to call Penske Rental to get the information after getting the information went back to line and waited 25 minutes but the lady rudely refuse to help me because she don't know how, She pointed to the other gentleman who was helping another customer and defiantly was going to take 15-20 minutes to finish with his customer. I run a small business and my advice o customer service staff if you work somewhere to help learn all the things to help people otherwise it feels like you are profiling your customers. read more

I ordered a grill over the weekend and it was supposed to be available Monday morning. Nothing. I went there Tuesday and couldn't find it. I tried going to another Home Depot to fill the order, but they wouldn't let me cancel the order in Annapolis. So I went back to Annapolis, found the grill, and went to the customer service desk to get some help. They brought out a lift with no batter power to the young man told me to wait while he got another. I waited ... and waited ... and waited. 45 minutes later I went back to "Customer Service" only to find that he's moved on to other things. He asked me, "Didn't anyone help you?"
