My boyfriend and I stopped here a little while ago and can't say thank you enough to the kind young gentleman who was working and helped us fix a problem with our sprinter van. He saved the day especially because we had a load in the van that we were hauling down to Indiana and didn't know for sure how to fix the problem on our own. The wonderful service I received brought me to tears. In the cold snow storm last Saturday, my rather new windshield wipers failed. I needed a quick fix. I brought the broken frozen blade in, telling the employee, Alex, that I bought it in Chicago at Auto Zone but didn't have my receipt. I would buy them again from him and bring the receipt back to Chicago, my home, and hopefully, get a refund. Alex said, "I will do you one better." He did not charge me for the new wipers, and he installed them! Call me a loyal Auto Zone customer! read more

My husband and I broke down right as we were pulling into Grand Haven on a 6 hour trip back to Indianapolis. We parked our Jeep across the street from Advance. After assessing, my husband ran across to Advance to see if they could help since it was late and all of the auto shops in the area were closed. The manager, Tony, went above and beyond. He talked us through some of our issues to help us find the right parts. He was fantastic. To our surprise, when he finished his shift, he showed up to help us. Which we desperately needed...we aren't exactly knowledgable in this area. He spent several hours with us on his own time to help us get our Jeep running and get back home. This type of genuine human kindness is very rare these days. Not only was he fantastic with his customer service during our visit IN the store...he saw that we were in need of more help and gave up his own time. I am very grateful to Tony.
