Fast forward to the next day. I picked up the car and the brakes work perfectly. I think I have found my new service mechanic shop. They offer good work at affordable prices. I will use them in the future. They don't have a shuttle service. I only spotted 4-5 chairs with a TV. The room was clean and there was a coffee pot. I opted for an Uber ride home at $20.00

The final straw was when I received an estimate of $3600 plus $200 for diagnostic to fix secondary air injectors on my 2008 Toyota Tundra (named Semper Fi after my late father-in-law). After checking Mitchell's excellent reviews, I took a chance with their $135 diagnostic exam. Two days later, it was only a minor repair from a squirrel or rodent chewing through the wires! My total bill came to $475, to include an oil change and tire rotation!! We are picking him up today and our prayers of finding a trustworthy business to service our vehicles is finally over. A huge shout out to Dustin for being a true American of his word.

I took my older truck in for repair of the A/C system. The work was done that day, on time, and spot-on with the initial estimate. Two previous repair shops could not repair this condition correctly. It's only been two weeks since our repair and it may be too early to draw conclusions about the quality of repair. Based on our initial experience dealing with this business, we would rate this business as a 5-star repair source.

Very knowledgeable about vehicles of all makes and models. I will be getting my maintenance done here from now on. What an experience. I came here for what should have been a simple oil change on a European car. Nearly $150 later, I…read moreleft with an invoice that was so confusing I had to decipher which numbers were actual charges and which were apparently just numbers printed on the sheet. Expensive, but the service was quick and the guys were friendly enough, so I went home and didn't think much of it. The next morning, there was a large oil stain on my driveway. I drove back and explained that the car was leaking oil. I wasn't angry, didn't complain about the price, and didn't ask for a refund. I genuinely figured it was something simple--a missing gasket or a loose drain plug. While they had the car up, I could literally feel/hear the drain plug being tightened from underneath. The metallic click was pretty hard to miss. Then the manager came over and told me they couldn't find anything showing the car was leaking. He even brought me underneath the car to show me there was supposedly no reason for my concern. Interestingly, the drain plug was now mysteriously clean, although there was still fresh oil along the skid plate. At that point, I still wasn't upset. They tightened it, no harm, no foul. The next morning: another large oil stain. This time I had parked over cardboard, and it was very clear the oil was coming from the drain plug. So I made another 20+ mile round trip and brought it back for a SECOND time. This visit was completely different. The manager seemed visibly irritated that I was back and told the employees to change the oil, change the gasket, and repeatedly emphasized, "Make sure you get the pressure test on VIDEO!" The employees also made sure everyone could hear their frustration about having to change the oil "AGAIN" and the gasket "AGAIN." Apparently, I was inconveniencing them by bringing back a car that was leaking oil after they serviced it. Keep in mind, through all of this I never yelled, demanded a refund, or was disrespectful. I simply wanted the oil leak they caused to be fixed. Instead, the entire second visit felt accusatory, like they were trying to prove I was making up the problem. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience of having to drive back twice, either. And then the next morning? Another large oil stain. At that point I was done. I bought a new drain plug myself, drained the oil, replaced the plug, and refilled it. Crazy thing happened: it stopped leaking. Three visits to this shop--including the original oil change--and they couldn't fix a leaking drain plug. I fixed it myself with a new plug. Mistakes happen. A loose plug or bad gasket after an oil change wouldn't have caused me to leave a bad review by itself. What earned the bad review was making me come back twice, acting like the leak didn't exist, and then treating me like I was the problem when I returned again. I will not be back. Terrible customer service from the manager and an incredibly frustrating experience over what should have been one of the simplest services you can have done to a car.

They were very nice, respectful, and went above and beyond. Unfortunately, due to other reasons my car wasn't able to get fixed but that's not what I am upset about with Whittons. After getting my car back from them I noticed a lot of pieces have been missing. Tried communicating with them and currently waiting on a call back. I just don't understand how after knowing what occurred with the mobile mechanic; they would leave my car with a lot of missing pieces. Because of this I can't recommend them.

After Mr…read more Bobby checked out the motor, it was obvious that the motor was bad. long story short it turned out that the motor had to be replace. Not only did Hometown replace the motor, they added fuel injection and air conditioning systems along with working on the brakes and cooling syste. The car runs like new.
