Fast forward to the next day. I picked up the car and the brakes work perfectly. I think I have found my new service mechanic shop. They offer good work at affordable prices. I will use them in the future. They don't have a shuttle service. I only spotted 4-5 chairs with a TV. The room was clean and there was a coffee pot. I opted for an Uber ride home at $20.00

The final straw was when I received an estimate of $3600 plus $200 for diagnostic to fix secondary air injectors on my 2008 Toyota Tundra (named Semper Fi after my late father-in-law). After checking Mitchell's excellent reviews, I took a chance with their $135 diagnostic exam. Two days later, it was only a minor repair from a squirrel or rodent chewing through the wires! My total bill came to $475, to include an oil change and tire rotation!! We are picking him up today and our prayers of finding a trustworthy business to service our vehicles is finally over. "That's your problem, this has broken apart." He bent down, saw how to repair it. "We can zip tie it through this hole and it'll be fine." Which he did. "You can buy another if you want, but this should work." I asked to pay. He said, "No charge, we primarily focus on transmissions, but like to help out when we can." The owner/manager John literally came to our rescue! Words can not describe the appreciation we feel toward this man! His professionalism, southern hospitality as well as compassion, kind words with some added humor he extended to us, assuring us the problem is not without solution. Reassuring me it could be replaced and his willingness to go above and beyond what a customer would typically encounter, was mind blowing!!! This was nothing less than the BEST experience I have ever encountered. I have worked with many mechanics over the decades. Most are not really concerned about ones situation or the safety and well being of the customer. However, John was compassionate and enabled us to continue on our journey. We were treated like family, I felt like God dropped me on this driveway. Through what felt like a nervous break down, because I did not have many options. The transmission went out on the largest truck that we rely on the most, so I took it to Albert, the owner of Mr.Transmission to get it repaired. It took $1,500 AND about a week to get the truck running again, but it broke down a week later. The work was supposed to be guaranteed, so I took it back to him to get it repaired. I picked it up 6 weeks later and it broke down again after driving one block. He had it for another two weeks but could not diagnose the problem. I finally had enough of him and his lies, so I wound up sending it to another shop. The moral of this story is DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF ALLOWING ALBERT OR ANYONE AT HIS SHOP TO TOUCH YOU CAR. HE IS A LIER, A THIEF, AND SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR STEALING PEOPLES MONEY.

The sun shell needed to be replaced and after researching on the internet we were positive they made a correct diagnoses and had confidence in them. They saved us a lot of money too from the idiots that wanted to rebuild the transmission. There's some crooked people out there but I think these guys have your best interest. Called back again on Friday and she told me she said she originally told me 72 hrs for a quote (which she never told me on my first call). I have been calling them all day today, Tuesday, haven't been able to get ahold of anyone (left voicemail this morning and no call back yet). As of today, I still don't even know how much they charge. I JUST WANT A QUOTE! If this is how these people do business, I might just go somewhere else.
