The transmission would not go into gear. She had the car towed to the Nissan dealership, who checked the car and stated the car needed a transmission but also needed a motor!??? Over $7800 estimate!? She didn't know what to do. I told her we use Lexington 1 Stop Auto and to let them them look. From the moment of her calling, Jason (the owner) arranged a tow truck to pick up the car within just a few hours. We explained what the Nissan dealership said, their response was -- let us look at it and be the judge...too many times dealerships take the sales approach method and may attempt to oversale the issue. Well he was correct! Within a day, the owner responded back: we found a used transmission and he sent us the history on it (and it included a short warranty). Secondly, we believe the motor can be saved, it needs servicing to remove the sludge build up. Let's try this before you spend $1000s on a different motor. Within three days, the owner contacted us. The transmission was installed and working properly. The motor was saved! Saving her over $2000 in repair costs. But the service didn't stop there. They fully explained what they did, and asked the car be brought back in two weeks to change the oil out since it was an extensive service -- this will remove any additional gunk that breaks free. Then they will inspect the motor once more to make sure it is sound. That's going above and beyond. My family member said when she spoke with Jason that he was very respectful to her (and her lack of knowledge of cars) and didn't talk down to her. She really appreciated his professionalism and felt that he was trustworthy. That made me feel good because I recommended them. Two days later, she said the car drives like it is brand new! Thanks to Jason and his mechanic staff, she got her car back for a third of the cost the Nissan dealership was quoting.

They told me it was a speed sensor the price out the door was $144. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Now the other day the check engine light came on again. Never had problems with my vehicle before. I take very good care of my vehicle yes things break and need to be fixed that's everyday maintenance of course. But this was a little odd now since the check engine light is on again in such short period of time so I brought it back. They told me it was a different problem they think it could be the coil pack or it could need new spark plugs which I just put in 20,000 miles ago and they are platinum spark plugs that are supposed to last 100,000 miles they also told me I needed a transmission flush that I did only about 10,000 Mi ago and I needed stutter guard for my vehicle out the door it would have been over $550. I basically told them to take a walk. I used to go to this place all the time but it has changed names from Kestner Auto to now Rev Auto. They seem to hire all new people and very young kids not there's anything wrong with hiring young kids but they seem to be guessing on what may be wrong with the vehicle as people pay good money to fix it and the problem are not always what they are claiming. If you bring your car in there to get service don't expect to get it serviced the same day it usually takes a good 24 hours for them to even look at it if you're lucky. Oh yes I decided to change the spark plugs myself for $20 and that fixed my problem they wanted to do it for $550 and it wasn't even all the problems they all claimed it was. I would not recommend this mechanic shop.

Dick Smith service department is a total rip off. We took the truck in for a simple transmission…read moreline replacement. $700 later the clamp wasn't securely closed and less than a mile away the clamp came off and blew the entire line off causing all the transmission fluid to come out. Now the transmission needs to be replaced and Dick Smith is not taking any responsibility. Even though they acknowledged the tech didn't clamp the line back on correctly creating a larger issue.

I found it after he left. After explaining what kind of wheels my car had, I was sold a unit that he recommended and it damaged the wheels. They advertised a free engine light check yet refused to do one. To replace a side marker light a clerk said he could not do it because the bumper had to be removed. Went home and pulled it up on internet and all it required was prying off the light cover. An associate said she couldn't replace my headlight bulb because she said her hands were too fat. So glad O'Reilly's opened up right across the street!

After waiting all day they finally completed the job only for the caliper to blow as they were bleeding them. After having a conversation we all agreed that I would re order the caliper and they would pay me for it. I paid full price for the service which was $309. Then after going back they were trying to charge me for bleeding the breaks again which is part of replacing the new part I PAID for and wasn't looking for them to pay me for.
