I came in on a Saturday to check my flat tire. The facility was clean, had coffee, tv's, bathrooms, and comfortable seats. My car needed a new tire and it was done within 45 minutes. I don't know if overpaid for the tire or not (I likely did). I was ready to get it done, but I did get some off because I wanted to go check around for prices. I bought my beautiful car.... used. Just a few years old, but it was having issues. I took it to the "dealership" to have it checked out. Goodness, I went into a spiral when the came back with a nearly full page list of things they felt necessary to make the car safe again. It was recommended ,to me , by a colleague, to bring this car to David at Midas. Immediately, the staff made me feel at ease. They took my car and checked it over, then looked at the list the dealership had given me. Midas not only said they could do any and all service , needed, to get my car in the perfect condition it should be, but could do it for half the cost. Went for a synthetic oil change. In addition, I wanted them to look at fixing my windshield wiper fluid mechanism that hasn't worked in a long time. Yes. A nice clean facility....the employees were super helpful and friendly. I was in for an oil change, & that's what I got! No up-selling, no trying to convince me that my car needed expensive repairs. Across the street are several stores, Hibbet Sports, Tuesday Mornings, Steinmart, & Books A MIllion....so you can easily shop or grab lunch while your car is being worked on. WRECKED OUR CAR. They didn't put parking brake on or leave car in gear (it is manual) so it rolled and collided with another vehicle. They made appointment to REPLACE the bumper and said they would have RENTAL for me to drive that day. I showed up to find a p.o.s. Chevy Volt that has Midas plastered all over it and stinks like cigarette smoke waiting for me. I refused to drive it so instead of getting me a rental the tech offered to drive me home and pick me up or drive our car home when it was fixed. Well I'm sorry, even if I wanted to get in a car with a strange man and also let Midas drive the car they just wrecked, I live 40 minutes away, so no. They should have arranged a rental. I took my daughters car up there to get the rotors and pads changed. I bought a drilled and slotted set because she was eating up the "factory rotors". I called Tommy before hand, HE was super nice, said bring it in to get em put on and quoted price. When I got there, an older man , seemed very "put out" at the job, he quoted me almost 600$ to do the job that was quoted for 200$. I questioned the difference, the man indifferently told me it was "misquoted". I had another estimate for the 200$ price, so I know it wasn't "misquoted", HE just didn't want to be bothered. He said bring it back tomorrow and I'll do it for 400$ stating he only had one tech! I left went two blocks down the street and had the work done for 180$ and they took only an hour to complete. Took my car there on 8/30/19 to have brake pads replaced. While I was there, the salesman suggested changing rear differential fluid. I agreed. Service was finished and I left in a shorter time than I expected. Less than 100 miles later the brake trouble light came on. I returned and they checked it out and the problem was not related to their service. I took car to dealership and had it fixed under warranty. While doing a courtesy inspection, the dealership suggested a rear diff. fluid change. I said no way. It was done 100 miles ago. The tech drained the fluid and showed it to me. Instead of the golden color the Midas tech demonstrated should be in there, it was black with swirls of a milky white substance. I returned to Midas, asking for a refund for service not performed or poorly performed. The manger simply replied that he would have to call corporate to find out how to refund my $150. Really? He said someone would call me probably the next day. I went home and decided to call corporate myself. To my amazement, the only number publicly published is a third party call center that will forward my comments and someone will contact me within 72 hours. Un be leive a ble. read more

I recently moved from Lexington, SC back home to Cedar Park, TX. Right before we moved though, I went to Midas to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Turns out, I needed new tires. Jason, the manager, came and got me and showed me the tires to prove to me I needed new tires. He even told me I only ended 3 rather than all 4. I paid much less here for 3 tires than I have in the past at Frank's Discount Tire. They were also able to do my oil change, which some places are not able to do because of my running boards on my car. And I didn't have to wait forever. I waited a while because of the new tires, but all in all, not a long 3 hour wait, like at Frank's for an oil change. I have since moved back home to TX. If I were still living in Lexington though, Midas would be my go-to for car maintenance. read more

My wife called me up and told me she heard a horrible grinding in the rear of her 2007 Nitro. When i got home late Friday night, I tested it and heard it too.. I'm not a car expert, and when I heard that grinding, I was thinking uh oh... its rotors, or an axle, or something VERY expensive.. I called Midas, as it is close to our home in Lexington, as well as it has gotten good reviews on other review sites... I spoke with Austin, and although it was busy (as expected on a Saturday morning) he said bring it in and they will fit us in, by doing a free courtesy inspection. I headed over there, with the emergency credit card fearing the worst. I reminded them I was a Angie's list customer and complimented all their reviews for past customers , especially their honesty.. I decided to walk around the adjacent shopping area as I figured I had a good hour or so to kill.. 30 minutes later I get a call from another gentleman there, and he explained that the horrible grinding noise was some sort of heat shield that loosened and was dragging against the muffler... EASY fix ( and NO charge) for something I was mentally preparing to spending hopefully only a few hundred dollars on. He did a full inspection and said everything looks great except a serpentine belt which doesn't require replacing immediately , but definitely down the road.. I was THRILLED! I asked if he could do an oil change while the truck was there and let me apply a coupon I got from their website earlier.. They did that and fixed a slow leaking tire which had a nail puncture as well as a rim that has seen too many northern winters in which the salt started eating away at the rim.. they sanded it down and applied some sort of rubber cement seal. I could not have been more pleased with today's work... They were honest, squeezed me in, and had me out of there very quickly.. This is my new go to place!!!! A few weeks ago my daughter took her car in to have the brakes checked and the oil changed before heading off to college. They called her and told her she needed new rotors and brake pads for a total of over $750. She was so upset, because college expenses were already adding up. We told her to take it somewhere else. She took it to Meineke down the street and they did it for a fraction of the cost. There was no need to replace the rotors, because they can be turned. And only one brake pad needed replacing. It saddened me that a company would try and take advantage of a young female. Midas has lost our business and Meineke has now become the place we trust. Always get a second opinion when dealing with this place. It may save you a few hundred dollars. read more
