The battery is tucked in the back of the engine compartment halfway through the firewall. I simply couldn't get to it. So, I went to my friendly neighborhood O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. and Peter looked over the situation and says "I can do this." He had to work out in the parking lot with a cold September wind blowing and dismantled a large section of the battery box and front end trim. In ten minutes he had the old battery out and in 5 minutes had the new battery in. (Be advised, I had already been told by two other auto parts stores that it couldn't be done and I should take it to the dealership.) Well done, Peter at O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. Lincoln, Nebraska. My battery recently died due to my brake lights not wanting to turn off, even when the car is off and in park. I took it to autozone thinking the battery was bad as well. They checked the battery and said it was fine. I told them about the brake lights and they said they'd check it out. Turns out my switch was bad and instead of having me pay to replace it they just Mcgyver'd it and it works completely fine now. I asked how much, ITS FREE! If I would've gone to a repair shop I would've been paying AT LEAST $200 and they probably would've wanted to "fix" more. THANK YOU EVERYONE THAT WORKS AT THE AUTOZONE ON 48th and Vine!!
