Hands down, this was the most unprofessional treatment I've ever received as a paying customer. I was forced to use this shop on a warranty claim for a part. One of the employees (maybe the manager or owner) got very agitated that I made a valid claim on the part during the warranty period and berated me in front of the other employees and customers about how my car was faulty, and it was responsible for the malfunction, not the manufacturer. Maybe it was my car, maybe not. Regardless, I would've appreciated a simple: "Thank you for your continued business. Sorry this malfunctioned. Let's file the warranty claim for you. By the way, this is somewhat unusual to re-occur so I'd recommend you get your charging system inspected." Quotes from the employee: "I've been working with cars for longer than you've been born" "You just aren't listening to me. Whatever; it's your life" "See you in 2 years when it fails again" The other employees were actually pleasant to work with and sympathized with me as he walked away.

Some issues regarding my visit…read more 1. Service time for a four tire road force balance was 2+ hours. This is more than double what it should take. I was charged extra also because they had to work a little harder to get the lug nuts off. 2. After getting service, the vehicle ride is almost identical to what is was before. No mention of anything to me regarding what they did or did not do. I had to rush out due to another engagement I had to get to. 3. I have D rated tires and after consulting BF Goodrich, I set the tires to 52 psi all the way around. They inflated my tires to the pressure noted on the car door plaque for E rated tires (60 psi front and 75psi rear)- pressures read 60 left front, 63 right front, 70 left rear and 75 right rear. 4. Lastly, the inspection report they do for free noted the tire pressure on both the fronts was 60 before and after, and 75 before and after, which is not correct based on what I brought in and what I noted while driving away. Everything else was checked green. Makes me wonder if an inspection was really performed. All that said, Ean and the rest who were working the service desk were very polite. I'm not sure what service was done, and had it been done correctly, I would have noticed a difference - value wasn't worth the result.

I replaced all of these and there was nothing wrong with the old rotors. The headlights were cloudy so OK with that. I aimed the headlights exactly where the old ones were. When I took it back they tried to charge me for aiming the headlights to which I called BS so they didn't charge me (so they knew it was bogus). They replaced the new wipers saying I put on the wrong size and they put on eactly the same size!! Don't ever go there.

Service department policy was disappointing. Three issues -- (1) FINE PRINT COST ADD-ON -- The maintenance service was expensive -- I was told $850 plus a state safety inspection plus tax -- roughly $900 but what was not mentioned was a shop supply cost that added $62.55 to the final bill. I asked about the shop supply cost and was told that it is standard and nothing the service department could do. The fine print of the sales order includes the shop supply cost but it is not included in the verbally quoted price. Not the end of the world but enough of a bad taste in my mouth to not come back. So, be aware of the add on charge up to $99.99 based on percentage of total cost of labor (12%) and parts (5%). (2) BATTERY CLASS ACTION SUIT - My battery previously had issues and I was advised that I was eligible for battery replacement based on current class action suit settlement with Subaru (see https://www.subarubatterysettlement.com/). I was told to call the Subaru settlement hotline (855-606-2625) and request a code for replacement of the battery. I did that and provided the code to Farrish Subaru, the response was that even though I was the original owner and had purchased the car at Farrish, I was not eligible due to mileage (65,000 miles) on my vehicle. I went to the settlement website and found that I should be eligible for a 50% coverage for battery replacement. I plan to follow up with the settlement entity. Again, nothing illegal or unethical but it just didn't seem like the way to treat a customer who purchased the vehicle in their dealership. If you have a Subaru make sure you check the settlement site -- evidently the price for battery replacement out of your pocket is $500 (other batteries don't seem to work -- they have the same drain problem). (3) WARRANTY on PARTS & SERVICE - Be aware that, in my reading, of the "Warranty Disclaimer" (see below), Farrish Subaru is not responsible for any warranty on parts and service other than what is offered by the Subaru Corporation. My regular mechanic provides a 6 month warranty on his service and the parts I buy through him. I was unaware that Subaru basically says you are on your own the minute you drive out of the dealership. Again, read the fine print. In favor of the service department, they did provide windshield wipers without charge when I indicated I did not want to $50 for a pair of wipers. That was helpful.
