I normally don't give any establishment five stars but this time it's an exception. The customer service here is just that - exceptional. I have had honest and trustworthy mechanics work on my cars before but I've never had a mechanic go the extra mile. I mean that literally. I recently had my car serviced here and while being repaired, the owner offered to give me a ride to my next appointment which was several miles away. I know other auto shops do this, but they usually do it just a few miles away from their shop. He was willing to go a fair distance. I had my shocks and struts replaced, bought new tires and a few other minor things done. Prior to my visit to Vicken's shop, I had gone to my car's dealership for the annual check-up. It turned out my car needed many repairs to the point where my "Check Engine" light was turned on. My car broke down on the 5 freeway in Glendale and the AAA tow-truck driver recommended Advance Auto Repair as it is an AAA approved facility. I was hesitant at first as I usually take the car to the dealer. When we arrived, Vic greeted me very professionally we went to his adjacent office (which is spotless and very comfortable) for the consultation. Vic listened to what happened and was very knowledgeable about my unique car. He repaired the car after an exhaustive search for the problem (several road tests and thankfully no serious damage) and I picked it up the next day. Today I was referred to Advance Auto by AAA following a roadside tow for a freeway overheating problem. Once I arrived Vic the owner greeted me with a friendly smile and handshake and asked me to carefully explain what the problem was. Following my explanation Vic talked me through the most likely problems and then he and his mechanic began a complete examination of my Lexus. After a few minutes Vic came to me and said he has a hunch, he believes the overheating is due to, of all things, a faulty radiator cap. He orders a new cap, applies it and luck of all luck, it solved the problem and I was shortly on my way home for a grand total of $20. What's so remarkable and noteworthy is Vic could have easily told me the radiator was bad, or the water pump, or the thermostat or any number of expensive repairs and I would have paid it because you want to trust the guy you're working with. The fact that he choose to be totally honest and fix my car for a total of $20 speaks volumes for his honesty and character, a rare quality in the auto service industry these days. The owner Vic is exceptionally friendly, honest, and willing to explain things. I went in for an oil change, tire rotation, and a 40 point safety check on my car with 150K plus miles on it. After the inspection Vic went through a list of things that could be repaired and the effects of each on the car. In the end he said nothing was imminent and nothing was unsafe. He actually told me if I decide to sell the car in the upcoming months, he wouldn't recommend fixing any of it. He prioritized the list and gave a time frame of when I should consider fixing a few of the other things if I do decide to keep the car. I have never had a mechanic be so honest and explain things so well! I will definitely be returning here for repairs and check-ups in the future! Amazing. read more

I absolutely adore this shop, and it 100% has my loyalty! I first came here via AAA recommendation when I had a faulty starter. Vic and Stan went above and beyond in helping me get everything sorted out, and were incredibly kind, patient, reasonable and wonderful throughout the entire process. I have since brought my Matrix back for an oil change and to see why the maintenance required light was on, and each time everyone (John and Kevin, as well) have been excellent to me and my vehicle. They always check the car's vital signs (oil, tires, etc.) regardless of what I bring it in for, are speedy yet thorough, and are always lovely to interact with.
