Came here to install some new shocks - left with all kinds of issues and spent a lot of money on terrible repairs. my truck was in great condition when I arrived with no issues - after replacing shocks I noticed a few of my fuses were removed and my dash lights weren't working - had to bring it back for a chain of repairs... They messed up my truck wiring causing all kinds of issues.. including after that due to electrical issues.. replaced a fuel pump a man installed a really crappy noisy one instead - my blinkers stopped working - they replaced parts that I later found to be working just fine. They are nice people but extremely understaffed and do very rushed sub par work. They installed new brake booster and used some rubber tube to hold it steady that til this day squeeks when I push the pedal down. Nice people here but if the owner who has already replied to my comment spent as much time on managing his shop as he does writing comments on Yelp maybe they'd be doing better read more

I've brought both my cars, an Acura MDX and TL, to Advanced Auto for several years for everything including engine mounts, brakes, alternator and other issues. My family has been taking our cars to Jesus and Juan for 15+ years. I always deal with Jesus who takes good care of me. It doesn't matter what day/time I pop in unannounced, he will stop what he's doing to check my car out. I stopped in on my way home from work last week because my car was sounding louder than usual. Jesus came right out, popped my hood and checked my engine and saw I had no oil due to a leak. He immediately grabbed a huge thing of oil and took care of it with no charge. He's always honest and tells you exactly what is wrong with whatever he fixes. My car is on its last leg and needs a major repair. Jesus straight up told me he won't fix it because it's not worth it. He said that he wouldn't feel right having me pay to fix when it's a big possibility that another issue will come up and my car isn't worth it. I feel like if I were to go somewhere else a mechanic wouldn't be honest like that and just take my money and probably charge a lot more! Jesus does all my oil changes, brakes, smogs and random fixes. He's the best! read more

This place is very good, not only are they honest, but they also are very helpful and try to work with your budget. Last time I was there, I went to pick up my car and they already had closed and my friend checked his oil and it literally was empty so we asked if he could check it. Other people would've said "too bad we're closed" but he did not hesitate one minute, he put oil and my friend paid less than other places, I mean talk about Awesomness!!! Who does that?! A friend saw that her 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee radiator was leaking while she was visiting her mom here in Lake Forest. My friend found Advance Auto Repair searching the web and they gave her a very reasonable quote compared to other shops. My friend asked me to check the shop before she took her Jeep in for a radiator replacement. Store front shop with clean organized work area in the back. I believe the lead mechanic is Jesus and he was very good returning phone calls. Would give them only 3 stars for being done when quoted, they needed the Jeep overnight. This shop replaces what is bad and does not replace parts that don't need to be replaced. I looked over the work and everything was reassembled properly with a new radiator and new radiator hoses.. When we picked up the Jeep Jesus gave us suggestions of future items that needed to be addressed - he was right on with his suggestions. My friend asked if the trans fluid needed to be changed and he had already inspected the fluid on the dipstick and said it was good color and din't have any smell - he said it din't need to be changed rather than another shop which might simply give you a price to change the fluid. The invoice was 10% higher than the estimate and without us saying a word or asking, Jesus changed the invoice to match what he quoted. read more
