Unfortunately brought my Camaro in for a clutch replacement (this was 2023 I believe). It was a disaster. I tried to pick it up 3-4 times over a couple of months with each time the car having some new issue/ noise/ check engine light. It never ran the same again and that ultimately resulted in it having to go to the scrap yard... A Chevrolet dealer diagnosed an engine replacement might've been necessary. the stress, cost and anxiety were very high. They do fine work for basic maintenance but do not bring in any specialized work. I was really let down and they didn't even offer a discount for the work that ruined my car. They replaced the water-pump in my car, and, since I was happy with that work I went again for replacing the front brake pads. The best part was that the prices were very reasonable. I bought the water pump myself and they installed it - that way you get the brand name part you want and the overall price is cheaper. They also did a good job putting it as the intermittent squealing engine noise went way only after that. Manny at the desk was very nice, too. And the job was done pretty much on time. Also know that cash price is slightly cheaper than credit card, and ask them upfront. I have finally found my car mechanic shop! I will go to them first rather than hunting around now. read more

Took my car for spark plugs. Same day, car still had issues after install. Had to return to the auto shop and was told i should take it to the dealer because the problem was not the spark plugs they fixed. The dealer informed me it was indeed faulty spark plugs which was unbelievable as I just replaced them and spent over $600 at the auto shop. Ended up having to tow (for the 3rd time) back to the auto shop to have them reinstall the spark plugs which they still insisted was not the problem. They installed new spark plugs and said it was actually the spark plugs that were bad. All that to say I spent more money and time than should have. Shop didn't take accountability or provide any compensation or apology. Last time I use the shop unfortunately. read more

We have taken our cars here for a while and been happy with them but upon picking up one our cars after transmission work I found that they drove between 50-60 miles on it. The third row of seats, which we always have laying flattened, was up with some red fibers left on the fabric of the seats. I truly believe they used our car for personal use. So although dazzling at first with the coupon, just be sure you really read the fine print. My brakes and rotors were also in need of attention. I was quoted $210 without the coupon. This shop was great with walk-ins and no appointments. I wasn't even planning on getting the brakes serviced today, but I liked Juniors enthusiasm and hospitality. They did code check for my check engine light (which I've been to two other repair shops for), and they checked it for free! I already know the issue behind it, and what Junior relayed to me was pretty on par with what the other shops said, so there was consistency. *I will update this review after I get to drive my car for a while and see how they did with the brakes and rotor resurfacing.* PS they give incentives if you pay with cash. A 3% fee is applied to credit card payments. Also important to note, the bad reviews on here were from 2+ years ago. It seems the staff situation has changed a little bit since I asked. read more

I don't know about servicing my vehicle here anymore. I took here a hand full of times and they told me I had things wrong with my amazing 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimuted and come to realize my dealership didn't even see any of the problems this place was talking about. One time the mechanic didn't place my car in park and turned off the car. Well come to realize that now my ratio 3rd gear output shaft needs to be replaced. The good was they always acknowledged a low price point on my oil change with coupon but now I'm wondering why I even did that. A cheap oil change on a great Wrangler. I'd pay the extra charge and go to Jiffy Lube. Sorry buddy nothing against this place. Only saying it is a more genuine experience at Jiffy Lube. I took my car to get an oil leak fixed. Less than a month later I got an error code for my engine saying that there was an issue with my engine oil pressure. I took it to another place on the recommendation of my gf and come find out that I have an oil leak in 2 different places. Less than a month later and magically I have leaks in 2 different places? On top of that, the other place noticed issues with my engine mounting brackets, issues with steering column, my front control arm, my transmission mounts, and a bunch of other things. It makes me wonder if they really checked out my car at all. I really liked this place because they seemed really friendly but I will not be returning here or recommending this place to other people because I don't understand how they could've missed all these other things. DO NOT let these people work on your car! I brought my Toyota in for a replacement of the radiator and the AC condenser, and man! not only did they take a long time to do the job, but they did it WRONG; and in the mean time, got me a parking ticket which they refused to pay. They put the wrong coolant (green) inside of my Toyota which should be the red antifreeze solution. This is common knowledge that ALL Toyotas take this coolant. If you leave the wrong coolant inside of your car, it can lead to substantially more expensive repairs because of the deterioration of and seals in the cooling system! I asked them to replace it with the correct coolant and they were even reluctant to do it for free. They said that "we put it in all of the cars that we work on. It is a universal coolant". this is just a big load of bull sh*t. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A UNIVERSAL COOLANT FOR ALL BRANDS! If you had work done here, please check if they did it correct! A simple YouTube video will give you more knowledge than these idiots have! Please take my advice and do not go here even if they have a reasonable labor rate. They may have a reasonable rate for labor, but their parts upcharge is insane. The quoted $1200 for parts which I got for only $300 myself from the dealership. Overall, Lake Forest Auto Care is super dishonest, a rip-off with parts, highly uneducated in basic maintenance, and will barely take responsibility for their mistakes. Just go the place next door called Lee's Automotive. They are super honest, have a super clean shop, upfront, reasonable rates, and you actually get to speak directly to the mechanic that works on your car unlike Lake forest auto care. Go there. Had a coupon for $15.95 (+tax & disposal) oil change. After I told the guy at the front desk my car's make/model, he said the coupon is only for 4 cylinders and that my car is 6 cylinders. I googled my make/model showed him that my car is indeed 4 cylinders, he said it's $26.95 with all the tax and fees. I asked him how much is disposal fee, he said $3. I asked him what's their tax rate and he told me he had to call his manager. After the call, now the price is down to $23.95. Why distribute the coupons if you're going to arbitrarily come up with different prices. Based on others' reviews I'm sure their services seem great but they lost me as a future customer. read more
