I have been to his office several times. In all honesty, I cannot recommend. Initially, I went…read morefor the bottom half of a tooth broke off. The tooth had to be extracted, and I was in pain over a week. I was advised to replace bridge I had would cost a certain amount, I felt the price was too high. So, while he was addressing one issue, I asked if the price could be lower. He went back and forth what would be needed. He kept bragging how he was the best dentist. Finally, when he realized I would not go for price he stated. He stated he could do nothing. At my last visit for teeth cleaning, a different person than the one I had been accustomed to did my cleaning. This woman did not explain things well, was extremely rough, and never gave me a breather. She started to floss my teeth, and I had to stop. When I went to the receptionist, I was very angry. I was not going to say anything. Then, this totally unprofessional woman goes to the receptionist and says she (meaning me) just got up and left. At that point, I got mad and stated why I was so angry. Woman then says that she was cleaning my teeth (that justified her extreme roughness) and at that point I lost it. She then says why didn't you say anything-I just looked at her (how can someone say something when something is in their mouth). Then, she and the receptionist go running to the dentist like two idiot children. At that point, I left. Finally, I cannot comprehend how this dentist was ever rated number one.

Excellent care quality. Accommodating in every aspect of his professional dentistry. When he fixes…read morea dental problem, it stays fixed. He works quickly and without pain. He is great for emergency visits, very accommodating, again, the patient's comfort is first. The office is clean and neat. All staff are professionally presentable; you won't about the hygiene in this office. His apt. scheduling is flexible, if you can not get the EXACT time or day, it will be as close as possible, but in 3 years, I always got the time slot I feel comfortable in.

After waiting a few minutes I return to the window and give my name. I was told I was over an hour early! This is simply not true! Anyway that's my visit I canceled my appointment for a cleaning and went around the corner and ate a huge burger!!!

I had an appointment yesterday for a tooth extraction.Upon arrival I was charged an amount (having…read moreforgot the previous quote) I then asked what was this charge? The receptionist said "for your previous cleaning". I explained i couldn't pay THAT bill and my copay for the extraction. She said if I couldnt pay it today i would have to reschedule so I walked out. A few mins later i walked back in and asked is it too late to pay (10 min after the appointment time) and she said yes. So I left at this point in pain with my tooth throbbing. After getting information from my insurance, it turned out that they covered the cleaning. So i called back and spoke to the supervisor she apologized and said the receptionist confused the cleaning bill with my extraction bill. I begged the supervisor and pleaded to see if there was a same day appointment she can get me into with my dentist because my molar is THROBBING. She said we can see you in two days. I proceeded to advocate to see a doctor because I was in pain, can not take more time off of work, and this was their error. She then expressed that "she tried to book me a sooner appointment, and i chose this day so this is on me"... as i was trying to express that has nothing to do with THE FACT THEY MADE AN ERORR, and I was in serious pain. She told me "excuse me im talking" Once i said "excuse me, who is your district higher up" She was able to schedule an appointment in the Wilbraham office for 3pm today. An hour and half before the appointment they let me know they can't do the extraction because i have impacted wisdom teeth. I swallowed my pride called bay state dental Harrison back to see if I can schedule the extraction for the initial 2 day appointment.... They said no i would have to go to an oral surgeon... but they were scheduled to do the service in the first place.

I went here for years and years, even going so far as to pay a higher premium for dental insurance…read morethrough my employer so that I would be covered to see this provider since he was not listed on the cheaper plan. The office staff and hygienists are very nice, and professional, and honestly, they are the people you are likely to be dealing with the most unless you have serious dental issues. Then at one of my twice-yearly cleanings, a different dentist came in and did the final check after my cleaning. When I asked who the new doctor was, I got a vague explanation about taking on a partner, or selling the practice, or something of that nature. When I asked if Dr. Ditomassi was still practicing there, I was told yes, although I never saw him again after that. Last year, I broke a tooth and had to get a crown. The new dentist took the mold and performed the procedure. First of all, it took almost a month to get the final mold from the lab, so I had a temporary crown that whole time, which is not fun. Secondly, I have had trouble with the crown ever since. It scrapes my cheek, and my tongue, and seeing as it is the rear-most molar, I wish that rather than spending $1000 on a crown, I would have just had it yanked out. As far as I am concerned, this is not the same practice that I used for so long, and I am now looking for a new dentist. I think patients have the right to be informed if their care is going to be handed off to someone new rather than just having it sprung upon them. If I had been given the choice to only come into the office when Dr. Ditomassi was there, I would have - but I wasn't.
