It brings me no pleasure to say that we had terrible service with Advance Air Home Services. I want to preface this with I completely understand their work for us was done post-hurricane. Which is understandably a busy time. But the lack of communication, false information, and disregard for our property isn't justifiable to being busy. It's poor customer service. Without writing a novel of the entire situation, Advance air's lack of communication put us without power for a week (which could have all been avoided with better communication or them giving us accurate information), costing us $1,000 in propane on our own dime. When they did finally come out, they forgot to do elements of the job that we had agreed upon during their initial visit, as well as leaving trash, some of it being sharp and hazardous to our animals and lawnmower, scattered all over our yard. It was just the lack of respect for our home and property that was the final straw for me I emailed Advance Air after this was all said and done letting them know hos disappointed I was in their service. I was sent a response with 0 apology or explanation, only that they would reach back out to me regarding the matter. It's been over 10 days with 0 response from them. I was extremely disappointed with this company and will never recommend Advance Air to anyone in the area. read more

During a routine HVAC service the tech made a mistake and leaked out all my coolant, which is ok people make mistakes but then they lied and said it was caused by improper installation of a valve and I needed a new part that would take 6 weeks to arrive. So we were without heat or cooling for over a month. Then when the part arrived the new tech admitted the first tech just made a mistake and I didn't really need a new part after all. The new tech made a simple fix and replaced the coolant (which could have been done a month ago) But for some reason they are still charging me 800 for the repair and swapping of a part which would have taken hours... I have tried calling and never got a call back. Unfortunately will have to file a complaint with BBB and work with credit card company to reverse the charges. They are trying to charge me 800 for an issue they caused and then never even performed the service they lied and said I needed. Also I should mention my HVAC isn't even 2 years old!!!! Used this company a couple years ago for AC installation. Purchased a 12 year extended warranty. Called in November to see if I needed service because I noticed a small hole in coil. AC was working ok. I just wanted to be sure. They tested and it was fine but said I needed a new capacitor for $400. They said that part wasn't covered. I called manufacturer who told me it was covered. After contacting them numerous times they said they would take care of it. Have not received refund. Part actually costs less than $20. This is a different company now who rips people off. Please do not use them!! read more

Waited over a month for parts for a 14 month old AC unit. Was told they had no ETA. They didn't try to get the unit replaced either. We had a wonderful experience with Advanced Air! One of our units was not cooling, and we called Advanced Air for service. Dispatch was able to schedule for the following day (not their fault it seemed like the hottest day of season and Fourth of July in just 2 days). My AC broke about 2 months ago. I contacted advanced air and heat to help me with the reparation. They came and the diagnostict was that the blower motor was broken. So, I paid for the diagnostic and the maintenance program and they were suppose to order the part for me because my AC is still under warranty. well, it has been 2 months already, multiple calls and still my AC doesn't work. Every time I call nobody knows what answer to give me. Multiple calls I was told they will call me back and they will give me a portable AC while I wait for them. but I can tell this company is very unresponsible. They don't return the calls and the service is really bad. I have asked to speak with a Manager MULTIPLE times and every time I get told that they are going to call me that they are busy and same thing. Totally disappointed about this company. read more

This is not the business that it used to be! My parents have an AC unit that is less than 3 years old. The fan motor went out 8 days ago and the service rep was scheduled to show up today with the part. Now we are being told that the part received was incomplete and is now on back order. These folks are horrible! They schedule you for an appointment and don't show up for 8 hours same day. They charge you in advance for services they didn't complete or show up to complete. Then next day they refuse to refund you for the deposit for services not rendered. You use the word illegal to not resolve the matter they say they are instructed to hang up on customers. This is how loyal they are to customers and your satisfaction. 3 requests in 10 calls to speak to a manager. None called back including Jason who is a manager. read more

We are 20 year customers of Advanced Air, and the service has declined tremendously over the last few years. We have a service contract with them so that they service our equipment two times a year, and they installed a new A/C for us in 2020. This weekend, our 3-year old A/C was frozen over (clearly something was wrong), so on Monday at 7:30am we called for service. They came on Monday at 6pm and said that it needed free-on, which the tech added and then left. The A/C then ran continually for 15 hours and did not cool below 75. We called them on Tuesday morning at 7:30am and asked that they come by again to fix the unit. They said we would have a tech come by between 5-11pm. I called several times to ensure that this tech was coming and was assured he was. No one ever showed. No one called. I called them again on Wednesday morning at 7:30am to get on the schedule for Wednesday. They stated that the first appointment would be Thursday from 9-12. We took that appointment, but asked to speak with a manager to let them know our frustration. They said they would have a manager call us. No one called. We turned off the A/C this morning because it was freezing up again, and we know that they cannot work on it if it is frozen over. So in this August heat wave, we have no A/C for the fifth day in a row. It is now Thursday at 3pm and our "window" was 9-12. We have yet to see an Advanced Air person at our building. I called Advanced to find out where the tech was, and they said that our appointment was changed to the last one of the day, with a 3-6pm window. No one called us to tell us this. We have taken off work for 4 days now to sit in our very hot house to be available for these techs, and no one has shown or called. You used to be able to call the office and speak with someone, but now they have an answering service that is not able to speak with dispatch. Advanced Air now has absolutely the WORST service. When our maintenance contract is over, we will be looking elsewhere. Save your time and money and use a different A/C service provider. read more

Highly do not recommend this company. They took advantage of my elderly parents. Sold them items that were not necessary and way above market price. When I called four times to speak to someone about this to explain to me the charges was finally told "that's just what it costs". When I asked for an explanation of what the device in fact did, the person that could answer this question never called me back. My AC went down 2 yrs in a row a couple days after my yerly maintenance check and it took them a week to come back and fix it. They promised me a 7 yr extended warranty on my generac generator and no one will call me back about it. There service stinks. Advanced AC is a hot mess from top to bottom, be wary or just Avoid them completely. Here's what they did to me in May 2023 on my annual check up prior to Summer. Sold me a new capacitor based on tech inspection, he installed it incorrectly, possibly on purpose.This caused fan motor noise so i called them back. Second 'tech' Joe barely touches the outside unit leaving the capacitor installed wrongly and told me i needed a new fan motor and blades est $1200. Asked if i wanted to speak with Sales to quote a new unit.... charged me another fifty$$ bucks trip charge to come back by. I got a 2nd opinion, this tech corrected the capacitor install in about 3 minutes and the unit returned to normal efficiency and noise level. Their 'managers' disputed any and all issues and refused any monetary return. At best, they have poorly trained techs and bad managers. At worst, they are doing this on purpose to rip off us seniors. Advanced heat and air placed my unit back in 2016 after hurricane. Since 2016 they have been reliable and solid service. I do regular maintenance on my unit and it runs solid. Charles was at my place to do check and gave me additional instructions on how to keep the unit in top performance shape. This is exactly what you want. This company marks up the price of equipment by over 100% and refuses to issue an itemized invoice so you can't see how much they mark up the price. i purchased the gas pool heater from them and had them install. what should have been a 3 hour job lasted 3 days as they either did not have proper supplies with them or unit was not properly connected. Retail price of unit from most pool stores is $3,200. They charged a total of $7,900 for the job. in my opinion this is price gouging. Advanced air was a terrific company 10 plus years ago. Fast forward and they have been sold 2 times and are now owed by a larger Company. All calls are forwarded to a call center for last 6 plus months. If you can get thru which is a big if, you get added to a scheduling group and get a fake appointment which gets charged by a dispatcher. They admit they are under staffed as the experienced tech's left the company. I was out of A/C for 4 days before they showed up. I found another reliable company that arrived in 4 hours and fixed the problem and had me back up and running. And I have a service contract with Advanced air which was not worth anything. The $18 check up is worthless - they don't do anything. It's in place to be first to suggest a new unit. Stay away from this company unless you enjoy Hot Yoga and want to turn your house into a studio at 99 degrees. read more

I had them replace a simple temperature probe in my pool heater. The part was under warranty but the labor was not. The installation was 45 minutes or so. The labor charge was $689 with a $29 service call charge!!!!! Outrageous charges but I was in a terrible bind with grandkids coming who wanted to use the pool with warm water and I was not sure if any other company would have the part. Be very wary when using these people for out of warranty repairs of any kind. Get a second price. read more

A few days later, Kurt the plumber showed up. He was professional and courteous and did an excellent job installing the sink. I used these guys to install a brand new AC unit several years ago. I called them for a repair estimate because it stopped working. I was given a cost and told it is not under warranty and the parts were on backorder and it would be several weeks minimum before they could get the parts so they suggested I have another one of there estimators come out to price out a new AC system. They had someone right over and priced it out and said they could install it the next day. I went ahead and called a supplier myself and discovered not only was the part in stock but that my unit was still under warranty. Called the scheduler to have a tech come out and look at our Generac 45KW generator (Liquid cooled 4.2l V-6) I was very careful to make sure she understood this unit requires a "Liquid-cooled certified" tech and that 2 years ago they sent someone who wasn't qualified wasting a lot of time for both parties. Called back 2 days before and she became angry stating "All of our tech are certified in everything". Well, as of yesterday at 3:00 PM that statement isn't true. Tech comes out, sees the box and says I'm not allowed to touch it, it's liquid cooled. Long story short: even repeatedly asking the wrong info was provided to myself and the tech. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!! Run, do not walk, away from hiring this company to do anything. We made the mistake of hiring them to install a PTAC unit. For $1800 they came out and installed a unit that never worked. For over a year we tried to get them to come out and fix it. They came out once and replaced a fan motor with another faulty motor, then would not come back out until the warranty expired so we would have to pay the labor charge for them to finally fix it. Then, they said it was a faulty bearing and they could not get the part. I looked on EBAY and they had several available as did many other vendors, so there's another lie. They hang up on you when you call with a problem and I was told there is no supervisor to speak with, but they would forward my problem to their "reconciliation department" Really? A small company that has a whole department just for complaints???? My attorney sent them a certified letter asking them to repair it, replace it or refund our money or we would sue in small claims court. It was returned un-opened. What a bunch of Cowards. So many lies and so much deception, I have never experienced anything like it. Finally, after 14 months of getting nowhere, I called Suncoast PTAC, they came out the next day and fixed the unit. Advanced Air never registered the unit for the warranty coverage (big surprise there), so Suncoast PTAC registered it immediately and all the parts were covered. The technician said he had never seen such poor installation all around and that both the fan motor and fan blower were bent and looked used and that there was nothing wrong with the bearing. One of the neighbors had the same problem with Advanced Air, her $7000 unit broke and they would not come out to fix it, she too, had to hire another company. Another neighbor said their daughter called to have her unit fixed and they wanted to charge her $400 for a $12 part plus labor. She put her dad on the phone to talk to the technician and he said he would be there in ten minutes to meet with the technician and the guy hung up and took off before her dad got there, knowing he was ripping them off. We purchase a new HVAC system from Advanced Air in 2016. We extended the factory warranty out to 12 years. We had them service the system twice per year for the last 8 years and this May the system went down. The system had lost its charge and the Tech supposedly leak checked and recharged the system and charged me nearly $1,000 and signed me up for their preferred customer plan. After two days it was not cooling again. At this point I request they send someone out and reminded them that our warranty was still in affect. They attempted to sell me a new system for $10,000 and said they had no records of the warranty, I offered to send the contract and paid invoice to them. At this point they would not call me back. I was forced to call the manufacturer and request another dealer (Accu-Temp) that would honor the warranty. They replaced the Coil which was leaking and it was covered by the warranty. I have been a preferred customer at Advanced Air and Heat for a few years. Recently I called them to do a plumbing job. My garbage disposal broke on May 11 th and they sent someone out to get the info on the disposal. They quoted me 424.96 including service. When the plumber arrived and said I did not need a new disposal. He fixed my disposal and said I owed him $49 for service call, which I paid, and that I would be refunded my $424.96 since I did not need the new disposal or service. After 5 calls requesting my refund for the $424.96 no refund was ever given. I requested a call back and no one called me back. I would think twice about doing business with them. As a preferred customer I didn't get a call or my money. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. Apparently they had no intention of giving me money back, and they kept the garbage disposal too. read more

Poor yelp communication. First yelp responder scheduled me for a free estimate, then another called me the day of the appointment saying a 65$ fee was required, then they rescinded that after I called to check. The inspector was decent but struggled a tad bit, then I got a single number quote by phone that night from someone else in a slightly unprofessional way. I ask for an itemized written quote and am told I'll get it in the next day. After nothing the next day, I check in and I hear they were having "IT issues" and thus couldn't send an email, but that I would get my itemized estimate in the morning (Fri). Nothing. I check in on Monday and on yelp I hear someone will look into it and get that to me. Days later, nothing. Also, one person was rude over the phone with a very, very poor attitude. Called this company due to a leaking water heater. They charged me 49 dollars for a guy to take a 5 second look and go you need a water heater. For 2334 we can do it tomorrow. Made a call to another company they can install a unit for 1250 compared to 1800 on monday. I can understand a weekend and paying more but to me thats ridiculous. read more
