This is absolutely the worst company and worst service I've ever dealt with!!!!!! New ac installed with them in May 2019. 3 months after install ac broke down due to the line not being flushed out with install (so they say)! In total since installing my new ac it has broken down 5 times. After the third time it broke down I purchased thier service plan just to have no one come to service it. I called 9 months after I purchased the service plan and they claim they have no record of it. Now it's July and once again my ac has broken down. I called 3 time and all three times I'm given a different time estimate of when someone will come out. They are rude and argumentative and when I finally had enough and raise my voice out of frustration from being lied to I'm threatened by the manager that I'm being recorded!!!!!!!! Warning record every phone call with every person in that company!!!!! They are rude condescending and frankly unprofessional. I had to listen to the manager Charlie make every excuse under the book for his technitions bad attitude and then threaten once again to record our conversation when I get frustrated with his lack of diplomacy. I ended up hiring another ac company that recognized the problem in 20 minutes of looking into the ac. Bad wiring on install causing my mother board to burn out!!!!!!! Advanced Air takes no responsibility at all claiming they are only there to install a product and after that they are not responsible for the unit just a middle man between the customer and the manufacturer of the ac unit. I'm getting ready to rent my house and under no circumstances would I depend on this company. I definitely plan on looking into my legal rights in this situation. Called for service and the technician obviously tried to sell a new system. His sales pitch was full of statistics and technical talk. He was emphatic that a simple repair was a waste of money and a new system was the best, smartest and most cost effective remedy. Inspection and diagnosis took a few minutes and the sales pitch was much longer. He was unable to restart the A.C.. He called for a second technician to replace the blown breaker. Tech #2 did not have the part. Next day, Tech #3 promptly replaced the breakers and charged the system that is now working perfectly. So, which technician does a customer believe? There is a huge variation of skill levels among techs at this company. There was an obvious attempt to make a big sale that was not required. I will not call Advance for future needs. read more

They installed my new Lennox A/C right around a year ago. We bought their extended maintenance warranty and are totally dissatisfied with their service. It is June in Florida, our A/C went down 5 days ago, we called them 5 days ago and they have still not made it out to my house. They just called and pushed the appointment to tomorrow. Installed a Daikin unit for me in 2014. Daikin has a warranty. Advance is no longer a Daikin dealer. I tried for a week to set up a service call to no avail. When you call this company you speak to a scheduling person, you can not get to the owner or a supervisor. I'm not sure if ownership has changed hands but this doesn't seem to be the same people who sold and installed the unit, same name, same phone number but not at all responsive and not truthful. They said they had scheduled an appointment with my tenant but they had not. I would not recommend Advance for any service. read more

ADVANCED AIR IS NO LONGER A LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED BUSINESS. When my conditioning went out on Friday, August 6, 2021 I called Advanced Air and Heating who I purchased my system from. I also purchased a 10 year service contract for all labor and parts. I had a prompt visit from a service technician who diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil which is located within my air handler. The technician made a good appearance, etc. The bad news was a 4 week wait for the part due to Covid 19, etc,. He also told me that I might want to consider replacing the total system due to the 4 week wait and approximated 8 1/2 years age on my system. This was late on a Friday afternoon and by that time it was too late to call anyone else Here in Florida August is a terrible time to be without AC. I made it through the weekend with the use of multiple fans, ETC . Due to having 1 1/2 years remaining on my parts and labor service contract I decided I did not want to pay around $7,000 or so for a new system. Monday morning I started an internet search for the needed part. I had very good luck when I contacted Servair of Edgewater, Fl. Within 30 minutes they located the needed part and it was installed before noon on Tuesday, the next day. Excellent service from their office staff and a very personable and qualified technician. My system is cooling better than ever. I hope it lasts another 1 1/2 years. Systems located beach side here in Florida generally last 8 to 10 years. Advanced Air and Heating while locally owned and operated was a very good customer oriented business. The story about a 4 week wait in order to sell a new system is totally unacceptable. read more

They tell you anything if they don't know how to fix the problem. I approved for a new unit to be replaced. They never follow through I have been waiting for a month for them to replace the unit. AWFUL!!! Going on almost 2 weeks with no air!!! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I purchased a unit still under warranty from Advanced Air. Advanced has now come out on 4 different occasions and has done everything BUT replace the exact part which will solve the issue. We are told it was really something else causing the problem, and the technicians come our and say its "fixed" when it really isn't. I am going on 12 days without AC because of Advanced. The technician that came out two days ago even said it was the TXV valve and they have yet to even order the part according to another NEW technician last night. We are still without air, many many sleepless nights with my three year old sweating all through the night running on no sleep because of their neglect and lack of customer service or knowledge. The reason I cannot go through my usual technician is due to the warranty and being a specific Lennax part that only Advanced supposedly has. I would NEVER recommend this company EVER! On October 7th 2021 I had a Lennox 2-ton 16 seer air conditioning system installed in my home by Advanced Air and Heat services (also dba Advanced Home services) and have continued to maintain this unit with them. It came with a 2 yr. parts and labor warranty and a manufacturer's warranty for 10 years. On June 29th 2023 I noticed that the ac unit was continually tripping the breaker and contacted them on the 30th for a repair tech. Repair technician responded on July 2nd and notified me that the compressor had a hole in it and would need to be replaced. I called Advanced Air on the 5th, 7th and 10th of July to check on the status and confirm that the parts were ordered. Around the 2 weeks mark I did receive a call back from their parts department who advised that the compressor had been ordered and that it shouldn't take that long. Since then, I have called on July 24th, 31st, August 1st, 9th, 23rd, September 4th, 11th, twice on the 19th and on the 20th all with the promise of a call back from the parts department which never happened. I contacted Lennox directly on September 19th 2023 who advised me that NO warranty claim has been filed for my AC unit. I had another company come to my house to re-diagnose the problem with the hope of getting this unit repaired only to find out that The Labor warranty is with Advanced Air only and that I would have to pay the Labor cost of $3300.00 or buy another system. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt especially regarding back order and supply issues but it has finally sunk in that this company, evidently, has had NO intention of complying with their contractual agreement regarding the warranty for this AC unit. So I HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR AIRCONDITIONING NEEDS. I have since filed a formal complaint with the State Attorney Generals office because upon further enquiry Advance Air and Heat are repeat offenders where this type of issue exists. read more

Advanced Air Home Services of Edgewater is fine for a/c work, but it is horrible for plumbing. They charged me $1350 to put in a shower valve (this took about 3 1/2 hours and they didn't use copper!) and refused to do the drain. My contractor was livid! Even the county inspector said the job was way over priced and should have been less than $500! Another company did the drain (the hard part) and they charged $225!! read more

Our AC stopped working on a Friday night. I called and they gave me a time for Saturday, noon-2pm. Spent the night in a hotel - too hot to stay in our home. Tech called before 10am saying he's at the house. Rushed to get there and he got right to work. Started checking obvious problem areas, eliminating possible causes. After finding the outside drain pipe (buried under mulch), he had me wait outside watching the pipe while he went inside to blow out the pipe. He had already cleaned the overflow sensor. He blew it out and all kinds of clear sludge came out. A few minutes later cool air came out of the vents!!! Awesomeness! He explained that the sensor kept shutting it off. I figured we were going to have to fork out big bucks on an AC only 12 years old, in a home we just moved into. Definitely recommended!!! THANKS! My family home in New Orleans had one HVAC company since it was built in 1953, an excellent company, 3rd generation owners. STAY AWAY from this company. I was a long time customer with them when they were family owned and operated. They were sold to a corporation (I think they are on third new owner) and the service is HORRIBLE. You only speak to someone that works at a call center (often rude with little knowledge or care of your predicament) who submits your ticket to the scheduler (again, rude more often than not) and seen by a technician whose sole job is to tell you that you need a new part that is on back order and that your only solution is to buy a new unit. I bought Daikin units from them in 2019 along with extended parts and labor warranty -- they now only use Lennox, so if you have an issue like I did this week (AC not cooling) they will send a tech out to tell you that your coil is bad and the part can't be located. The suggestion? Buy a new Lennox unit. I was also told by my technician that the parts department, on the off chance they could locate the coil, would call me back the next day. I've never heard one word from them since. Thankfully, I got a second opinion: coil is FINE, leak outside that was a quick fix with a blowtorch. Horrible company. They should be reported to the BBB. read more

Pleasantly Surprised! Several weeks ago the AC went out and I called these guys. It was a Saturday but they were out in a few hours. The tech had to replace the main fan on the compressor as it went out. The price? I thought it was high but I really had no other immediate options. He had some difficulties but eventually got it done for the quoted price. He then went on and cleaned things up, checked the freon, etc. Very thorough so I felt better. Two weeks later on Labor Day the unit went out again. It was vibrating so hard the compressor outside walked it's way off it's concrete pad. The sent someone out within four hours. He replaced the fan on the new motor, repaired some elect parts that shorted out and braced the fan motor better. No charge! When I go to replace that old unit, they are the first on my list to call. read more

First, the office personnel who scheduled and later confirmed the appointment were friendly and polite. I later requested to change the date. The office called, verified the new date I requested, changed it, and later confirmed it again. Advanced Air technicians showed up on time on this warm Friday morning and ready to work. I was taken aback by how young they appeared, however, they quickly demonstrated they were quite capable. Matt H. came to the door first. He politely introduced himself and coordinated the parking so that it was easiest and convenient for them and for me. He stated a second vehicle was coming. The second vehicle arrived moments later. Matt worked on the air handler, a second gentleman worked on the outside unit, and a third gentleman helped both, installed the thermostat in the house, and took care of the work in the electrical panel. These three gentleman worked quickly, quietly, nonstop, and with purpose. They thoroughly answered any questions or concerns I voiced until I was completely satisfied and comfortable. They clearly took pride in their work, even made sure it was cosmetically done right. They cleaned up the site, billed the agreed upon price, asked if I was satisfied, and were gone as quickly as they came. I was impressed. I would absolutely recommend Advanced Air & Heat. read more

I called to have a furnace repair done and was told it could be done that day. The tech came out and didn't have the parts. Perhaps I am missing something, but if you're coming to do a furnace repair and your business is furnace repair, I don't see how you could not have the parts to do the job. I was told they would need to come back the following day with the appropriate parts to complete the repair. I was charged an $85 service call and did not get my furnace repaired. Our AC went out after a power surge a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. A gentleman from Advanced came out quickly on Sunday when we called, and diagnosed it as needing a new blower motor. $500 later, we were up and running on Monday. Over the next two days, the unit ran non-stop and the temperature wasn't dropping to where the thermostat was set, so my husband finally called again to have someone come out. This time, the diagnosis was it needed the coil replaced. We were quoted $1400 to repair it, or it was suggested we replace the entire six year old unit for $3200 given the cost of repair. We went with option C - call for a second opinion. Called another local company, who simply cleaned the coil thoroughly for $100 and we've been smooth sailing ever since. I called Advanced upset because I felt we were trying to be up sold, which made me question whether the original repair was necessary. I was transferred to Brandon (not sure if he is a manager or the actual owner). To his credit, he listened to all of my issues and did everything he could to remedy them. He explained that after speaking with his technician, the gentleman was supposedly explaining to us that the cost of the coil replacement plus the $500 we had already paid would come to $1400, although that was definitely not what the technician told us. He offered to pay for the cost of the coil cleaning, but I really wasn't looking for any kind of handout; I just wanted to vent my frustration. Ultimately, he said he wanted to compensate us in some manner because their reputation is important and he didn't want me to walk away with a bad taste in my mouth. Since the other company's technician told me I had overpaid for the blower motor by a couple hundred dollars, I said maybe $150 back might be nice? Brandon said he would actually give us the entire $200, and sure enough the refund showed up only two or three days later. So, I would say this much... If you're not very handy (such as myself), always get a second opinion, regardless of who you call. All in all, I think this was more of an issue of miscommunication, and the company did what the could to make it right. So while initially I would have written a one star review out of anger, I'm giving them four for their integrity. Not bad guys, but like any company there's always room for improvement in certain areas. read more

The company billed us, we called them twice to make payment arrangements while we get this worked out with our HOA. No one returned our call. Thanks to this company I was without air for a week as they didn't tell me that they would not be able to be the ones to fix the problem before cutting my lines. Did not seem to care that I as a customer who had already spent money with them on upgrades and was looking toad a service agreement was unhappy. This is no longer a family owned business, but is owned by Pulte Homes. Our motor blew after the recent hurricane. A technician came out on Saturday, diagnosed the issue and said a motor needed to be ordered. The motor was under warranty since the unit was not five years old. They did everything not to have it under warranty, and when that plan failed never ordered the part or contacted us again. In fact, we had to call them for a status. On Monday we were told the part would be ordered the next morning, but when calling back on Friday learned it had not. We called another company and had the issue resolved. In the meantime we were without A/C for 10 days in 80+degree weather thanks to the lies and non performance of this company. Do not use this business. read more

Our air conditioning was working....and then not so much! We called the first guy that had done a tune up last Fall. He never showed. We called a second guy...didn't show and then his phone was no longer in service... yikes. Finally called my cuz and asked her opinion on the matter. She highly recommended these folks and so we gave them a call. They made an appointment for the same day and said they'd call before they came over. It got to be 4PM and we thought here we go again but then the phone rang, the technician was 15-20 minutes away. Brandon arrived and he was great. He had our system up and running in no time with a full explanation about what happened and guess what? Apparently the previous owner of our home had a 3 year warranty with him,( that he neglected to tell us about) and the service call was covered, no charge! We didn't know and he didn't have to tell us but he did, GREAT! Brandon left behind a lovely goody bag with magnets, coupons etc. and best of all the air is on! read more

This company installed my air conditioning unit and gave me a quote for new duct work. When I asked for an install date on the duct work, they would not return my phone call. After contacting them for the fourth time, they would not honor the quote and told me they did not really need my business. It was not worth their time. I recently had the opportunity to install two new heat pumps in my Ponce Inlet home. The good news this company is great on service and installation. The bad news is they do an incomplete job. They never reviewed the conditions of the ducts in the attic and installed a new system with ducts that were dry rotted. I discovered the issue after the installation with a FP and L home energy survey. This company's interest is in selling systems without looking at the total package. I had to replace all the Attic Ducts with another contractor. In addition they never suggested an attic exhaust fan to reduce the heat in the Attic. They sell you on energy efficiency however you may only be losing your AC to the attic. If you use this company make sure they inspect your ducts and incorporate their replacement into the job. read more

Here is my significant experience with this company................I had them install a mini-split in my garage 18 mos ago. Good job and nice techs. Fast forward to Feb, 2017. The company sent out a flyer for service at a bargain. We have three properties in addition to the two units in our home. I paid them to service all five units. One unit that they installed in 2010 needed repairs so I asked for a written estimate. NONE of the five a/c units serviced included anything about temp, pressures, model, make or anything except the address and "all ok". A few weeks after the services I was sent a letter from Robert Francis, General Manager, offering additional services. I called their office at 386-427-1655 and left a message with "Michelle" to have Robert call me. That was four days ago. I called them for service after hours. The tech came after a few hours and ran a quick basic test and decided that it was going to have to wait until the next day to repair since it was raining. I was given an estimate for repair. When he came back, he made the repair only to find out that the compressor was bad. That was going to be big $$$ to replace on a system the was only 6 yrs. old that was purchsaed from them. They still wanted to charge me the price I had agreed to for the repair even though they misdiagnosed it. I had to argue to get the the price reduced. Their claim was that they had to come back another day and spent time to repair. If they had diagnosed it properly I would have had a basic service charge and to decided what direction to take. Park Ave., Edgewater, Fl., 32132--- 386-530-6278 or 386-427-1665) since they first started in business (when they were literally a Mom & Pop business run by the father, wife and 2 sons). It pains me to have to write this review but, with my latest service, I have found that they have fallen off in the quality of their work & their professionalism. This might be due to the fact that they were so good that their business expanded and they have since hired many more people and have supervisors, etc. It's not just a Mom & Pop business anymore. Anyway, my air conditioner was under warranty and I called them on 4/7/14 because the fan was blowing in the unit but, I was not getting any cool air; the temperature would be in the mid 80's in the house. They sent a service man and he said that I needed Freon and that there were a couple of leaks. He put more Freon in and fixed the couple of leaks and left. The unit ran okay for about 6 weeks and then went TOTALLY caput! There was no air again and the fan was just blowing hot air. I called them up again and another service man came out on 5/20/14. He looked at the unit and it was shot on the inside (the coils were all corroded and rusted out, Freon all gone, more leaks, due to rust, etc.). In short, I needed a couple of thousand dollars' worth of work done. Luckily I did have a warranty and it was all covered. However, they needed to order many parts from several places and it took about a week for all of the parts to come in. They came back out on 5/27/14 with another tech and he fixed it all and did a great job. My complaint is that there was no need for me to go a week without any air (this was during the Memorial Day week-end which was a record scorcher; well into the 90's). If the original tech on 4/7 had just bothered to look (the rust and corrosion had been going on for years and didn't just happen in 6 weeks, and it was completely obvious even to Mr. MaGoo), he would have seen the problem and ordered the parts so, even if I was down for a week, the parts would have arrived before my air conditioner unit finally went caput on 5/20. As it was, he did not do anything about it and 6 weeks later the unit went because of corrosive parts the he had to have SEEN (if he didn't see them he shouldn't be in that business) . I called his supervisor to tell him about the problem, when the problem was in progress. When the job was finally fixed and done, I e-mail this complete scenario of what happened to his boss along with numerous photos of all of the corrosive parts, rusted out coils, etc. and asked the supervisor to please get back to me about this. Well, I have waited until now to express my displeasure, as the supervisor never got back to me at all, regarding anything concerning this problem. I know now why the original tech just did such a sloppy job. The tone is set at the top.
