Shawn (the owner) was friendly and professional at our first meeting. I was upfront about the fact that I was shopping for quotes, and that didn't affect his attitude at all. And even after our initial meeting where he did the inspection and gave me the quote, he was super patient and responsive to ALL of my follow-up questions (as a first time homeowner, I had many questions). The day of the job, Shawn and his guys showed up on time, and was super friendly. They actually finished up 2 hours ahead of schedule!! After the job was done, the project manager (don't know if that's his actual title, but it was his role) Yulie and I went up into the attic to show me the finished job and pointed out any areas of interest they noticed (I had asked them to keep an eye out for things that looked iffy since it's an older house and i'm keeping a log of things that might need repairing). Then we also walked around to make sure the ceiling was not damaged (only a couple of my recessed lighting came loose, and they fixed it on the spot), and to show me where they made repairs for rodent proofing. They cleaned up after themselves, and Shawn called me right after they're done to see if I had any other questions or concerns, and then he sent me all of the photos they took of the work they did in the attic. While Shawn's quote was not THE lowest quote I got, he was still within very reasonable range. And I was willing to pay that little bit more for the friendly, and professional attitude I got with Climate Control Pros. I asked Shawn to come over to do an inspection of my attic, with the intention (I assumed) of giving me a quote for clean up and replacement of the insulation. But after the inspection he said everything looked good and I didn't need anything done at all! Shawn is a friggin' super hero! So my wife and I just bought a $1.25 million dollar flip house in LA. I think this house sat vacant for a while. Everything looks great until you move in and find the surprises. I needed to run some network cable through the attic and up until this point had never climbed up there. Or even peeked up there to be honest. The inspection report said "some evidence of rodents". We hired an exterminator who tented for termites and put bait stations down. We thought we were good. So I climbed up the ladder and OMG. I think our house was more insulated with rat turds than insulation! Disgusted, I came down and told my wife, "Whatever projects we have budgeted... they are on hold." I found Shawn's promo mailer a day later and we called him up. Shawn came out the next day to look everything over and give us an estimate. He inspected all sections of the attic and then the entire house for access points. He discussed everything that he planned to do and gave us some additional options. Everything sounded fair and we greenlit his team to come out and do their thing. The plan was to vacuum out the whole attic and remove the filth. Then sanitize and seal up all the access points. There were a lot of them! Then install two attic fans at opposing ends of the ranch style home attic for air exchange (one of them he threw in for free) and the final step was installing all new 12" insulation batts. It was a fun day of working from home when Shawn and his awesome crew showed up. They isolated the attic access and put up plastic sheets to protect our interior. Everything was vacuumed out through a hose leading out the front door. It was impressive how all that nastiness was so well contained. It didn't end up all over the inside of our house or our front yard. After they had removed all the filth Shawn recommended new ducts to replace our old fiber glass tubes. He illustrated how degraded they were by simply blowing through the duct and you could see the fiber glass particles easily comes loose from the duct. "You're breathing that" he said. Done. Sold. He worked with us on a good fair price and added it to the list. Job so very well done! Best money I've ever spent on any home. Knowing our attic is so clean and efficient makes me so happy. The efficiency and saving on our electric bill alone. But really it's for health reasons we're so satisfied. Who could feel comfortable living under all that mess?
