When I went to pick it up and asked how much for the repair, they told me it was free! Now I would somewhat expect this if they were purchased there but they weren't so this was a very nice surprise as my Dad is on a very tight budget. They were very friendly and prompt!

The hearing exam was a complete audiology exam. Dennis Rogan also took the time to coach my husband on how to communicate with me more effectively so I'm not always having to ask him to repeat himself. If you are someone who is looking to purchase a hearing aid, I'd recommend coming here first. There are no high pressure sales tactics and a no obligation trial period. They truly care and put their customers first.

My first, previous review of SW hearing locations and business practices was very negative. I…read morehave had my aids, very expensive ones, since April 2024. They simply did not work. The hard plastic domes caused an ear infection. I felt entitled to a refund, but was rudely refused. I still do not like the whole setup but fixing the app that goes with the aids, replacing the rock hard irritating domes with soft buds, and most of all going to the Chesterfield office instead of the headquarters or Ballas Road location. Leah, the audiologist at Chesterfield has solved bothvproblems I brought her with friendly patience. I srill don't hear as clearly in conversation as I need to, but in meetings and clubs I can hear with the app settings, and tv is good. The telephone is not always clear, either cell or receiver. I have lots of setting adjustments, but I dislike all the tinkering I have to do to hear. There are 3 programs with 4 settings each, so 12 things to tinker with. I am pretty well satisfied that all hearing aid sellers are medically very little qualified, are doubtful prescribers, more like car dealers, and having it all to do over, I would probably just go get the over the counter hearing aids.

It was 5 minutes after my appointment before anyone came to the waiting area to acknowledge that I was there. Them she told me it would be a least 20 minutes before they could see me. That would be 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. My time is important to me. That why I made an appointment. I left and wont be back! STAY away from Southwestern/Vertical hearing centers.

I picked them up on February 6th of this year and even now I'm still emotional about it. ______________________________ I was triggered today. When I was very young, probably about 5 years old, I got my first hearing aids. Me, age 5ish, walking out of the office at Central Institute for the Deaf: Me: "What's that?!" Parents: "Someone typing on a typewriter." Walking outside... Me: "What's that?!" Parents: "Birds chirping." EVERY sound was new. Startling, overwhelming at times, but exciting. My whole world changed that day. Me, walking out of the office at Southwestern Hearing Center today (Feb 6, 2019) - MUCH older Having just picked up some amazingly advanced and powerful new hearing aids: Me: "What's that?!" It triggered me. Didn't matter what the sound was (turned out to be the sound of a door latching shut down the hall.). But as soon as I said "What's that?!" I became so emotional. The childhood memory just came rushing back. I'm BEYOND grateful to the Owners and Staff at Southwestern Hearing Center. Cindy Marino went out of her way to help me. The sounds I'm hearing today are startling, overwhelming at times, but exciting. My whole world changed today.
