Stay far away from this place. They are rude and there are so many other businesses out here that do quality work and are far more deserving of your money. We came in to purchase an amp and to have our subs installed (easy job) we did not ask for any deals or discounts we paid over 300$ for the equipment and installation. OVER PRICED, but we thought we would get our money worth. Everything worked great for 1 day and we were back because the subs were not working. They said it was the high temp outside. Worked again for 2 days. We were back again. My husband told the rude guys in the garage what the problem was (fuse) but he said no, there is no problem. Today, we are back again and I'm pissed. No apologizes for my time, the many visits, the rude customer service. The fuse was not strong enough for our amp and it had blew. This was the biggest mistake my husband and I made, going there and having a back-up camera added to my Kenwood ( was a option that was for our unit)). Made a appointment, got there on time ( was told it would take 2hrs.) Was first in line that morning, It was a easy install! Well, 5 1/2hrs. later it was finally done. Camera was giving me a tilted view (had to call attention to that--installer didn't notice that everything was at a 45degree angle). Went to use the back-up camera and the picture is in a washed out yellow & turquoise. ( still not working right) Now everytime I want to use it I have to flip a switch they up under the dash & hold down a button to see the screen & when I done backing up, reach under the dash and flip the switch off & push another button on the unit!! I went to them to install a system instantly had problems with it took it back turns out they installed it on the wrong ohm load which caused significant damage to my amp. Well it turns out because it was an installation error it voided my warranty on a $360 mtx thunder elite amp. When I went to them with this information the manager told that he realizes what happened but it wasn't his problem. Really how do you fail to see that my amp failing do to installation error is the installer's fault. To top it all off the guy didn't even apologize for their wrong doing. They sounded good with what they told me they could do and in the end did not deliver. They said they would hook up a new antenna using my interior controls. They also said they can mount my new speakers flush onto my door panels. The girl at the counter assured me they could do this even after walking outside and looking at my car. I said cool because that is what I wanted. In the end they could not hook up the antenna the way I wanted it to be hooked up and said not to worry because they can get the right one for me within a week. The girl ADMITTED she made a mistake and sold me the wrong one. She also said that the installation took a lot longer than expected. Oh, and the speakers needed to have a big ugly spacer/adapter installed underneath them. Also when I got in my car I noticed one of the front speakers was falling off the door trim. Went back inside and asked them about it and the guy who worked on my car said it was already like that. I said, "BS it was not like that". They took it back inside and said the only way they can fix it is if they do this and do that. I said whatever; just do what you got to do so that it doesn't hang. (It's a 20 year old car so I didn't really care about it being perfect). She told me to call back on Monday to see when I could get the new antenna. Called back on Monday morning and she told me that it was an hours' worth of labor to put the new antenna in. I told her that I didn't feel that I should pay for the labor since they installed the wrong one. She said she would call me back and see what she could do. She never called back. I called her at the end of the day. She said, "Oh we called our warehouses and couldn't locate the right one, sorry "and then hung up. Just like that!!. I'm not one for getting all pissed off about poor customer service so I said whatever, besides maybe one or two of you who read this review will go somewhere else. I justified not making it an issue by saying I just spent $380 on a $250 job, the fact that my car is already 20 years old, and maybe a few of you who read this don't give this company your business. These people get a negative five star rating. I purchased an alarm and needed the last 3 wires connected to finish install and they wanted the full install price to hook up 3 wires. I had run 10 pin swicthes, LED, horn, antenna and the only wires left, where not on install paper work. Offered to pay $75 bucks but they wanted full price. These folks are out for the money and if you've got it to burn go here. To top it off my boss had 42 vehicles to do and was going to use them, but not now. I went to Best Buy and they showed me where the wire went. It works great no thanks to Advanced Stereo. read more

I went in on 11/22/2015 and had a Viper 5704V car alarm installed. They gave me the correct manual etc and the car alarm is in fact the 5704V (I had a Viper authorized dealer confirm this) however the key fobs they gave me are not the ones which are supposed to come with this model alarm. They are the ones which come with the cheaper 3305V. I contacted Viper directly and unfortunately they said that because this is not an authorized dealer there is nothing they can do. If you do go in I would encourage you to double check that you got everything you paid for before you leave. read more

Well I usually am very reluctant to write reviews but after the unbelievably fantastic service provided me I am compelled to write this.From the first phone call to Mark the owner to the very knowledgeable sales staff I draw your attention to Chantelle who went out of her way to make my wait very enjoyable.She offered me a ride home while my car was being worked on .Now I ask you who does that nowadays.Well I had Mark give me an estimate to install a Viper car alarm in my brand new 2017 Honda Ridgeline and told him I was reluctant to have anyone fiddle with the factory wiring harness on my vehicle.He reassured me he would take care of my baby and promised me he would put his star installer who has installed alarms for him for about 18 years on my vehicle.When I arrived I was greeted by Chantelle and introduced to James who immediately began working on my vehicle after about an hour Marl the owner arrived and took me out to my car warning me it was in a very dissasembled state.I got to ask James a few questions then left him alone .James finished my alarm installation in a few hours then took the time to explain to me exactly how it operates.I know how difficult this install was and I am very impressed with James and work he did all panels were spotless no greasy fingerprints could be found and the alarm works fantastic thanks James for your excellent work ,thanks Chantel and Mark thanks for the military discount.If you want the best in stereo and alarm installation don't hesitate to call Mark or Chantelle at Advanced Stereo in Murrietta Ca. The sales guy at the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful with helping us make our selection. We ended up with 2 12" subs and a new stereo with gps for an affordable price. He worked with us to get us the best finance option for us and was flexible and worked with our schedule so we could get them all installed when it was convenient for us. I wish I could not give Advance Car Stereo a review at all! They are a complete joke of a business!!!! We took our truck there, to get the doors checked for the door poppers, and they guy said it will cost $200 for them to look at it and go through everything, and then 50% of the $200 will go towards the parts that were needed for the the truck, which they said "there is no way that both door poppers went out, it must be a wiring" so I went ahead and paid for it, and it took them a good hour to do it, then they tell me both door poppers went out, so they looked to see how much door poppers were going to be for 2 $199.99 and they I was going to have to pay another $200 again for labor for them to put them in, so on top of the $200 I already paid them to take my door panels off I was going to be paying a total of $600+dollars!!! BS!!! I was pissed, then the dude started going off on me because I did not like the price, and how he was going to charge me all of this money to do this!!! So I just told them to put my door panels back on my truck, so I can leave, well they took an hour and a half to do this, so I walked behind there shop and they were back there messing with my switches on my truck!!! So anyways I went on ebay and found the poppers that I need for 2 for only $75 free shipping!! I am putting them on myself!! AND ADVANCED CAR AUDIO can kiss my ass!! They are unprofessional on how they talk to customers, they are a rip off, I basically got screwed out of $200 for them to just take my door panels off!! I went in to get 4 new speakers to replace my old and damaged stock speakers. The new speakers were installed and sounded worse than my stock speakers. I was then told I needed to replace my stock radio because it was no longer powerfull enough for the new speakers, I agreed and asked them to install a radio with bluetooth so I could stream music from my phone to the radio. They installed a bluetooth radio but it did not support ad2p. In other words, the radio they installed did not have the ability to accept streaming music from my phone, like I had asked. They proceeded to tell me that I need to upgrade to another radio that has this ability but it would cost another $50. I agreed. When I was finally able to stream music from my phone it sounded terrible, worse than AM radio. He told me that I should have done my research first and that is how all bluetooth car radios sound. I leave, very unhappy about my purchase(s) and settle on the alternative approach to getting music from my phone to the radio, which is plugging the phone directly into the auxillary input. Over the next few days the radio gives me nothing but problems, it pops and hisses when changing songs, the leds dont function normally and to top it all off, plugging the phone directly to the radio does not sound good at all. I call him and he tells me to bring it down. The store has a front and back entrance, I meet him in the front and we both head outside so he can check it out. We get half way to my vehicle and he changes his mind and tells me to drive it around back. I drive around back and he has me wating there for 10 minutes. He finally comes out and I make a comment about having to wait at which point he explodes and screams "Get the f#ck out of here!" I lose my temper at this point and insults are exchanged. He proceeds to call me a "douchebag" and an "impatient whiney little bitch". I state that I am going to review him on yahoo/google to which he replies "Go ahead, Im the owner, I've been here for 5 years and I can cover up/erase any negative review you make" He also tells me hes a member of the BBB and to go ahead and submit a complaint with them. He then pulls out a camera/cell phone and snaps a picture of my liscense plate. I leave very upset and frustrated with the entire ordeal, stuck with a radio that I absolutely did not want. read more

I came here initially on a Sunday afternoon trying to get a alarm installed on my new vehicle. I called around to numerous places but because of the time, nobody wanted to take care of me. I pulled into Advanced Car Stereo and it was the complete opposite. I was immediately greeted upon walking in the door by a very welcoming staff. At that time I decided to not only buy an alarm, but also a new radio. I told them what I was looking for and the manager JT said he would take care of me no problem. I was out of there within 2 hours if not less. Since then I've been back a few times due to no fault of theirs, but because of some software issues. Needless to say, they have took care of me far beyond my expectations. Final result is, I have a new alarm system and a great sounding stereo. The installation crew; James, Larry, and Efrain are amazing!!!!!! they definitely know what they are doing back there and even went the extra mile to sit down with me and do some troubleshooting. I will definitely be back in the future for my other vehicle. Its a shame I could only give them 5 stars...because I would honestly give them a lot more!!!! Thanks guys!!!! read more

Let the buyer beware! We had this company give us their professional estimate at $75.00 for what they recommended for the alarm system in our truck. They did their inspection and said we needed new motors on the doors and the man that helped us out, said he was giving us a discounted good deal for these since our son is a college student. they kept the truck for a few hours, we came back, paid for their work and thought that was it. A couple weeks later, something was going on with a noise with the "new" motors and we took it back and an hour later, picked the truck up again. We then started having issues with turning the truck off and if you didn't take your key with you, you'd be locked out of the truck. Not sure how many of you actually take your keys out of the vehicle when pumping gas, but if you allow this place to put in new motors you may want to start. I called them on the phone, explained the situation to the very nice and pleasant gal on the phone, she told me to bring the truck in and they'd look at it. I asked her if I dropped off the truck around 1130 could I get it back by 230 due to kids school schedules, etc and she said this would be more than enough time. I went in and as her and I were talking, she then told me that maybe it was the alarm this time, so I asked the question, "so, this (referring to my two reciepts for the inspection and new motors), was basically a waste of money?" Before she could answer me, the other gentleman behind the counter who by the way was with a customer, decided to butt into the conversation I was having and said in a very rude tone, "I have to defend my company and I gave you excellent customer service by looking at the vehicle twice for the single inspection fee". Funny, if he looked at it for free two other times, he failed to mention that there was a new problem. He embarrased me in front of the entire store, belittled me in front of other employees and customers and made me feel like I was trying to take advantage of his 16 years of experience. I appologized to him and to his girl for the way I phrased my question, I suppose a better choice of words may have been in order, however, this man is in my opinion very rude and has no business dealing with women. After all said and done, he appoligized, not sure if he meant it or if it was because my son said to yelp him or if it was because other customers appeared embarrased for me or for him. He even went on to say he'd give me a good deal on a new alarm. Not sure what a good deal is, I mean he had to make known to me and those around listening to him lecture me, that I was accusing him of bad business because I asked him, "why didn't you tell us that the alarm could go bad after new motors are put in and why didn't you tell us that when we brought it back two other times, you were fixing or looking at an issue unrelated to the motors? He laughed at me and said in a very rude tone that "oh, now I'm a bad business man for being honest and not selling you something you don't need." Well folks, if he's all that honest, then why does he need to give me a good deal on a new alarm? wouldn't his prices already reflect that ? Oh yeah, he never put the side panel door on correctly when he did the work and it still rattles, but I guess that's my problem.
