Made an appointment on Friday at 11:00 to have dashcam put in. They said I would be first. No one showed up and I waited until 11:25 after they had taken the deposit. I kept calling finally a man answered and and said sorry I was in LA picking something up like I was a buddy he was doing a favor not like a patron who had scheduled a time, given a deposit, and had someone drive me over there to have my car dropped off who also waited 30 minutes to see if they would open up. Completely unprofessional and now I have to drive back over to get my deposit back. I asked to speak to the owner and he has yet to call. Would not recommend this place. !! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !! The owner scams you into thinking they can fix your problem but when they can't, they REFUSE TO REFUND you. Thinking about my experience here sends me into a deep depression. I wish I never stepped foot into this shop. I had an issue with the audio system in my car because it keeps making these loud static noises randomly. I went to a bunch of other places, but they said that they've never heard of the problem -- not even the dealership. I think they saw how desperate and ignorant I was regarding my car's issue that they thought it was a good opportunity to take advantage of me. They said that replacing the amplifier would fix my issue and charged me $725 for a terrible amplifier that was even worse than my original one. The installation for it was also super sketchy and unprofessional. They said that I wouldn't even be able to see the amplifier because it's gonna all be in the car, but they literally just put it underneath the passenger seat. In plain sight. It looks so stupid. I waited all day for them to finish it thinking that they solved the static noises, but they didn't. They replaced my original amplifier for an even worse one for no reason. Not only was the sound quality awful, but the static and booming noises kept coming on and changing the amplifier didn't do anything to resolve my problem. Which is literally the main reason I even came. I came back the same night to show them the static booming noises and now they say it's because of the radio. I demanded a refund because they lied to me and made me buy something that I didn't even need. The owner said that they'd be willing to refund me $325, but when I came to collect my refund, he said that they "figured out the issue" and want me to bring my car in again. However, I don't trust them anymore and just wanted my refund. They said no and won't issue the refund unless I bring my car in again. Screw it. They can have the $325. So I literally paid $725 for an even worse audio system. Wow. What a waste of money. One of the reasons that I came here was because all of the good reviews on Google, but I should've known that they were all fake and unverified. There were no photos or legit proof. !! BEWARE. Dishonest and shady business. There are no returns on products and services, and they won't tell you. They may not deliver promised services! I had my stereo changed by one of thier pioneer systems. I was told it would stick out a half an inch from the dash and I decided that was fine. Spent $1,500 on parts and service. What I got was not what I wanted... the display stuck out from the dash at least an inch, the phone audio didnt work, a tacky microphone was added to the dashboard by cutting into the plastic and I couldn't find how to access the car's features. I called back after a couple days and was told no refunds, regardless of the services promised were not delievered. Store credit was offered, but thier selection is very limited regarding other options. They told me they would call me back the next day. After three days, no call. I called at that point and was told to drive to another shop and have the tech look at it. Once again, no refund was accepted or even entertained. The tech was able to find the cars special features and potientially fix the phone issue, but at time I lost faith and didn't want to waste anymore of my time with this company. In my opinion, a business like this should get it done right the first time. Any business that doesn't guarantee thier product with a refund if dissatisfied can't be trusted! First time buying a system from here had my interior done with subs installed overall had a pretty good experience with a minor inc. But definitely over paid for what I bought I would say by a couple hundred. I get it it's a business. But your better off buying everything online and having them install it. Update: so I purchased this system for 1200 on 5/25/20 got like 5 separate installation fees for $80 for what was sopposed to be "professional " installation. Origanally when I posted this 6/06/20 because I had to come back after 5/25/20 cause my driver side door would go silent after rolling down the window, wires were hanging out the back seat. My tweeters were placed back in sloppy and not glued properly. So with that being said here I am again today my driver side tweeters blown out or (possibly not wired right again) and when I place my speaker at low volume there's a super annoying humming sound. After the great reviews, I decided to bring my Jeep into Cali Car Stereo to get a new stereo installed. I also inquired to see if they could do some tow brake wiring and I was told "yes" and that their "certified technician" would be there the next day. Left my car, day 1 they installed the stereo, day 2, I received a call saying my brake lights were out and that they don't know how to install the braking system. I explained that my brake lights worked fine prior to bringing my Jeep into Cali Car Stereo and I instructed them to stop their work and not do the braking system because they obviously don't know what they are doing. When I picked up my Jeep, there were wires hanging down under the dash, wires exposed by the steering column, the Bluetooth mic that was installed as part of the stereo was not attached and was just hanging by the steering column. The old stereo was on the floor, the wiring kit for the braking system (that they said they could install) was spread all over the inside of the vehicle out of the package and strewn in the front seat and the passenger side of the floor. Now we have no brake lights and I still have to have the towing system installed. Extremely disappointed with the poor customer service I received and I can't in good conscience recommend Cali Car Stereo read more

Recently purchased a 2008 Porsche Boxster S and quickly realized the factory stereo was the weakest link in the car. It came with the non-navigation head unit, but had the premium sound package (Bose). It sounded terrible and had no aux input to listen to any sources other then CD's or AM/FM radio. Stopped by a couple of local car stereo shops before deciding to get my work done here at Cali Car Stereo. I was concerned with keeping the new head unit install clean and as factory looking as possible since it's a 1-owner 30k mile car. The Cali team has a lot of experience dealing with luxury and exotic cars so it was pretty easy to explain what I wanted and feel comfortable that they knew exactly what I wanted to achieve. I went with a 7" Pioneer head unit that has built in wireless apple car play. They also recommended that I bypass the factory amplifier and add a small 5-channel amp to the factory Bose speakers instead. This setup sounds pretty amazing considering these are 13 year old factory speakers. The dash kit makes the install look like it came that way from the factory. He installed the wrong equipment and it fire all the my harness which became a total caos as much as my Ignition damaged. Four months ago I purchased automatic retracting running boards as an aftermarket enhancement for my new 2023 Genesis GV80. The retail store located in another state recommended that they be installed by technicians at CALI CAR STEREO who assured me that they were the best in Southern California. I was not disappointed! They were efficient and knowledgeable. I was more than pleased. Two days ago I needed service for my vehicle and Genesis of Corona took the SUV and returned it the next day. I regret taken my car here. 2k wasted. They claim to do custom work only to find it they couldn't do it to my car after installing the screen already. The screen they gave me, I felt like they gave me a cheap one because it was bulky and looked so awful especially for a small car like mine. When I picked up my car, the first thing I saw was the wire out in the open in clear view from the outside. I first thought was, "who in their right mind would think this is ok" especially after spending 2k. First of all, I thought the screen was smaller and customer to sit on the dash as any navigation system you see on any other car. The cashier/front desk is who we always spoke too, never the technician, I don't know why. He said that was the best they can do coz they didn't want to cut anything. I said no, absolutely not and demanded they either take it off and give me a refund or fix it's so they took the car back, picked it up the next day with no custom work and said that's all they can do. The screen is so bulky is takes up a lot of the view especially me being short. So I said whatever. It so ugly and I feel so embarrass, I always put a shade protect on my windshield so they couldn't seen the navigation system. Than 2 weeks later, I get to my car and found the navigation system hanging. They used TAPE to hold on the navigation?!!!! Tape?!!! Are you kidding me. That thing is at least a few pound, bulky and too heavy for tape to hold. I was so pissed, I didn't even want to bring the car back and deal with their service. All I can say is 2k wasted. I don't take the time to write reviews for businesses 99% of the time, but today is different. If there was ever a time to share my experience with my fellow Temecula and Murrieta neighbors, it's now. I called late on a Wednesday and I'm sure they could hear in my voice that I was hoping I was able to get my car audio system hooked up but i knew it was to late since prior to calling I noticed they close shop at 6 pm or so if I remember correctly. I figured we could set an appointment and low and behold, the guys invited me down in order to find ouout what I need done and possibly stay later so they could make which was going to take a few hours. I got to the shop later than I told them I could be in 15 minutes , it ended up taking me twice as long and when I pulled up they were clearly staying later for me, so I felt bad. The last thing I want to do is be a burden to these guys after a long day of hard work. WELL, that was the complete opposite of what happened. I instantly was greeted by excellent customer service and great personalities to top it off. They carefully looked at my situation and went over multiple options and even offered to pay for a lift or Uber ride if I wanted to go home while they work on my truck in their warehouse (which looked super legit by the way) I noticed high quality cables like thick OFC spire copper wires by only good brands. Once I realized that their main goal was to treat me with excellent service and the prices were more than fair, I was stoked. This team loves what they do ( integrity and passion without a doubt! ), very clean install if not the best I have ever seen and I drive a 2015 F-150 XLT so making my equipment (12" 1500 watt RMS VSX Skar Subs with a 1800 RMS Kicker Mono block amp) to make it work efficiently with the space I have, high end experience and solid work ethic is crucial, to have a small footprint in the back of my super crew cab truck requires the best installer or installers, everything needs to be done strategically to turn out perfect and that is exactly the workmanship I received. After the job was done, everything worked perfect on the very first test to make sure everything was hooked up correctly etc. I used to go to a different shop and I've been to many. Not anymore. I'm so impressed I'm sitting here trying to help others experience what I did at Cali Audio. I look forward to coming back and doing some more upgrades, maybe this time at a decent hour. Haha You guys are seriously the best! If anyone is looking for the best quality that is also affordable. Look no further. You will end up leaving with new friends on top of it. This is the only place you should go to. Got my speakers installed at advanced car audio. They wired everything incorrectly which caused 2 channels on my amp to blow out. Cali Car took great care of me, rewired everything and secured the speakers that were out of place. Very reasonably priced. Won't be going anywhere else ever again.
