Well my cat ended up having a stomach tumor, and wouldn't keep anything down. He since passed :( Anyway, before he passed he had extremely hard time keeping food down and threw up all over my microfiber couch. I got a mailer from advanced carpet and gave them a call. All in all it was a good experience, I live in an apartment and it was no problem for them to bring thier equipment up and the stain ended up being totally gone. The smell, which I was most worried about eventually dissapated over a week or so. I think they said they also used a disinfecting agent, so that was much appreciated. read more

I wish you could give zero stars. We saw an ad for this company that showed the BBB stamp and advertised cleaning as well as restretching. Since we needed both, we gave them a call. They informed us that there was a $25 fee for the re-stretching estimate. We realize it's costly to do estimates and can understand, so agreed. They take the $25 off your total if you choose them. So, the estimate was $260 - which seemed high, but the guy claimed that he could do it right then, and my husband agreed. In retrospect, we should have taken the quote and done some comparisons. The loss of the $25 would have been smaller than what we really lost. After the re-stretch was done, we both felt that the quote had been too high. We had Home Depot doing some carpet install in another area, and asked them what they would charge for the re-stretch. They quoted $130! We both felt we'd been taken advantage of, and my husband called the company to complain. The owner wasn't it, so he left a message for him. Rather than call us back, he forwarded the complaint back to the re-stretcher - who refused to do anything for us. Frustrated, I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau on 11/13. There was no response until today. Check this out: "This complaint is silly. We tell people about the estimate fee BEFORE an appointment is set. If they had a problem with the estimate fee they should`nt have made the appointment, much less had the work done. They also could have just kept the estimate and checked around with other places. These people are owed nothing and I consider the matter closed." If you're looking for good customer service, I'd look elsewhere! read more

Their standard fee is really only a trip charge. He will up sell you hard and if you refuse the extra $100 then he simply blasts through your house and leaves. Doesn't move furniture or anything. Called them regarding advertisement for 2 rooms and hall for $49.95. I set up the appointment and they advised there is a carry-up fee of $20. This fee is because I live on an upper floor. I advised there is an elevator. They still said the fee could be charged or not, depending on what the technician thought. In addition there is a $5 per room additional charge for berber carpeting (in other words, this fee is charged unless you have a flat, cheap rug for carpeting). The $49.95 advertised price would actually be $84.95 before tax and before who know what other fees they'd throw in there. read more

Don't be fooled with their coupons as I think it is a bait and switch. They told me it would be $49 just to come out to my home. I had a white love seat I wanted cleaned. The tech told me if I did a sanitizer and an acid rinse/de-foam that the love seat would be whiter than just a regular cleaning. When he was finished he told me the love seat would get whiter as it dried. It did not!! I spent $160 for a service I could probably have done just as good doing it myself. I contacted the owner and was told they "never" give back any refunds. I asked if they could come out again and re-clean the love seat and he said no. I contacted the BBS and what a joke that was. I did not know the BBS runs on funds from its members. The BBS marked on ACR's complaint page that all things were satisfied. That was not true at all, I was more than frustrated with Advanced Carpet Restoration service and the owner had screamed at me over the phone when I told him I was not satisfied with his service. I than went to the attorney general to see if they would make Advanced Carpet Restoration either refund my money or come back and re-clean the love seat but did not make any progress there either. Bottom line is they do crappy work. The tech spent more time talking than working. They convince you to pay for extra services to make your love seat look better but in the end it was a total waste of money. I could have done a better job using my own carpet cleaner and I don't claim to be a professional. So, if you a drawn to this company from a coupon they published I would suggest you check out another carpet cleaning business. The owner of the company will never work with you if you are not satisfied. So please please don't waste your money. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

if zero stars was an option, that is what I would be using. I never write reviews for anything but thought it was important to give the public notice that this company is absolute crap. Save your money and rent a dirt devil cleaner from your local home depot because you will certainly get a better clean than they did when they cleaned our carpets. The technician got an attitude when he wasn't able to sell us all the upcharges and was in and out after 20 minutes. When I called to complain about the end result he was again extemely rude, and said we should have prucahsed the upcharges. So for 130.00 bucks I guess what you get is a little water on your carpet, and they run over it quick with the machine. It took us longer to take the furniture in and out of the room than it did for them to clean it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Like others, i saw the coupon for 2 rooms plus hall for $69.95. What a crock. Everything besides them showing up at your door is an "extra". Stairs, stains, everything. They gave me an estimate that was around $350 for three rooms with all the extras they put in there. I knew my carpet really needed a good cleaning and it had some stains as well as stairs, so I accepted their estimate and the tech got started. When he was finished he told me the carpet would dry in 24 hours, but it took 72 hours to dry. I don't think he did any vacuuming to get the excess chemicals off. Once the carpet started drying, brown stains started appearing in places where there were not stains before. I called them back and scheduled an appt for the technicial (Andrew) to come back. He came back and said this was a pH imbalance and totally normal and a quick acid rinse would fix it. He did the acid rinse and left and the same thing happened again, stains came back even after he assured me they never come back after the acid rinse. I called and scheduled a 3rd visit with Andrew. He never bothered to show up. When I called to find out why he told me it was because there was nothing more he could do. I said I wanted my money back and he told me that he couldn't do that and that he would have the owner Mark Schultz call me. Clearly Mark didn't call, so my husband called and finally got ahold of Mark. He expressed how displeased he was with our carpet and asked for our money back. When Mark refused and court was mentioned, Mark finally agreed to come back to our house for a final visit. I had a 4-6 window and Mark finally showed up at 8:00 that night. Unfortunately because it was later at night, the sun wasn't up to show the stains and Mark just rolled his eyes at me when I pointed to the areas I wanted him to treat. Nevertheless, he did a second acid rinse and on his way out said this would be the last thing he could do for us and he would not be returning. At this point I was so sick of his attitude and rudeness I told him to Please Leave our house. This company has the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time.
