Recently I learned that my insurance has coverage on chiropractor visits and I visited this place due to (1) positive reviews and (2) located in San Gabriel. The staff was really nice and helpful, but eventually I learned that my insurance coverage doesn't include Advanced Chiropractic Treatment Center. To my surprise, I learned that out of pocket is $80 for first-time patients (treatments included) and $50 for subsequent visits. For comparison, I visited another chiropractic clinic within my insurance network and it was $25 copay with consultation and adjustments only + $50 for machines (e-stim and roller table.) Dr. Chung was great - he was able to accurately explain little details as well as recommends preventative care. He focuses on spinal decompression technique and my visit included the roller machine, electrical stimulation, and an adjustment. For my 1st visit I was able to make the same-day appointment without any hassles too. 5-star on Dr. Chung accurate diagnosis & friendly staff and 4-star on equipment (there are few other chiropractic with fancier stimulation machines.) Honestly I will probably stop by this clinic whenever I need an extra maintenance on my tense shoulder or back muscles outside of my regular insurance coverage. P.S. - There's a small & free private parking lot behind the clinic and it is a short 3-minute walk. read more

Why would I want to go back? It was just the hamstring and it should be easy enough to solve. I say so because another chiro always fixes my hamstring with one treatment. I went to your clinic because he was on vacation. You wasn't able to find the roots and give me an appropriate treatment, which made it 10000 times worse. Now my situation is way more complicated as the pain is going anywhere it wants to in my entire thighs thanks to you and you're saying I should trust you after you made things worse? Why would I want to trust you as you already perfectly and unexpectedly ruined my life????? I thought about it for a whole day and I couldn't find a reason. If you're not confident about being able to help a patient, tell him or her to leave!! Especially if they're athletes or dancers!!! My boyfriend is tall and has years of hurting himself cause of martial arts. He use to go to a family friend's clinic to get treatment, however, that place only provided adjustments for him and has been closed for months due to the coronavirus, so I recommended this place instead since I knew Dr. Chung. Dr. Chung was extremely friendly towards him and after an examination and consultation, he was able to explain some of the possible issues my boyfriend was having. The reason I recommended this office is because although Dr. Chung is very open and friendly with his patients, he's also extremely knowledgeable and explains things very easily and thoroughly. Afterwards, he recommends preventative care and what measures to take. As for the treatment, my boyfriend did the electrical stimulation with a heat pad, decompression, adjustment, and traction table. It was his first time and he said he really enjoyed it! He described it as an electrical massage, but he couldn't raise his arms. It really helped his shoulder, neck, and muscle pain. His favorite part was the adjustment though and was really surprised at how loose and relaxed he felt afterwards. I'm sure Dr. Jason Chung offers a full range of services, but when it comes to sports-related issues, I rely on his expertise and care. We came in with stiffness in the back which made it difficult to place weight on our feet and propel, pivot, etc. (we play high-level competitive high school basketball). Dr. Chung allowed us time to share our concerns, asked questions to get a complete understanding of how the injury occurred, asked how we typically move on the court, what kind of exercises/warm-ups we do, how often we played, etc., and recommended an appropriate treatment regiment. He also made sure we understood it takes time for muscle and back injuries to recover and gave us movement advice to minimize aggravating the injury. We've gone back to him a few times now as there's always some part of the body that needs attention after all the beating and pounding from endless practices and a long season of games. In this day and age when you read about how doctors only have 5 to 10 minutes to spend with you before moving on, Dr Chung is a breath of fresh air! This review is for a visit during COVID. Initially I was referred to Dr Chung's office from my insurance. I was experiencing a pinch in my lower back and had tried acupuncture services someplace else but knew I needed an adjustment. The location of the place was on busy street but you can't miss him office. There's 30 minute parking spaces available in front of his office but I would highly recommend that you park behind his office located off of Wells and San Gabriel. Free parking is available and not metered behind his office. Dr. Chung's front desk staff was extremely courteous and helpful. She helped verify my insurance in a timely matter and gave me the out of pocket break down prior to my visit. The place is extremely clean and I appreciated how friendly and welcoming Dr. Chung was. He seemed like he genuinely cared to help ease my pain and not charge me an unnecessary amount of money for services I didn't need. After pulling my back from gardening work, I was in pain for a good couple days. Although It was almost an hour drive to Advanced Chiropractor Treatment Center, it was worth it to see Jason for adjustment. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. I made an appointment two days prior and went in during the morning and the staff got me into a treatment room quick without much wait. The restroom and treatment room was clean and the place is tidy. Jason was very patient and through in explaining the procedure and device that he was using for my treatment. I've been here three times to get an adjustment. Each time, I've had to wait despite having a scheduled appointment. The first two times it was probably a 10-15 minute wait, which is understandable, but today I waited for around 45 minutes before finally being led into the room. I was told by the receptionist that the chiropractor would be with me shortly. As I sit and wait for a few more minutes, I can overhear the chiropractor just chit chatting it up in the next room with the patient who sounds like he's done with his patient care. I walk out of the room to ask the receptionist how much longer it'd be since I'd almost been there for an hour now, and she apologizes for the wait, stating that sometimes chatting with patients can go on a while. Ok, but can you just knock on the door and remind the chiropractor that she has other patients waiting?!?! I ask for a refund and leave. What a waste of 50 minutes! They have a complete lack of regard for their patient's time. Not coming back. Oh, also, I was sent to wait in patient room 4 which was not in good condition. Since seeing Dr. Chung 11 years ago, my sciatica have greatly improved. I haven't had an episode of "sciatica attack" where I couldn't walk since my visits with Dr. Chung and Claudia his masseuse therapist. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to find Dr. Chung. I've been having some major lower back pains for a few days straight (due to my workout) that has made it difficult to do the basic daily functions. I did a quick last minute search for a chiro since I'd be in the area. After a few reviews and seeing some friends had been to his office, I made a call. Surprisingly, I got a chance to speak with Dr. Chung directly (not usually the case for him to answer). I wanted to make sure my insurance covered my doctor visits. After confirming I was able to schedule an appointment that same day. I saw the doctor yesterday, and this morning my level has went from a 7/8 to a 3/4. Dr. Chung was able to feel the form of my spine and explain why I've been in so much pain. After some muscle stimulations, and lower back stretches, he did a spinal adjustment. Right when I sat up, I could feel the looseness in my neck, shoulders and back. Today, I feel so much better, slightly sore, but better than feeling sharp pains with every movement.
