Long overdue review but Dr Michael giang is the best! I first went a couple years ago and at that point I had never gone to a chiropractor, he explained everything very kindly and diagnosed my issues. I went for two sessions and I was all healed up. I was recommended Dr. Michael Giang because I mentioned to some friends about my painful lower back strain. I called Dr. Michael and over the phone, he was the nicest man with the kindest voice and demeanor and also said he could take me the same day. I was hesitant about seeing a chiropractor because of the pain I was in, and I mentioned that to Dr. Michael and he urged me that the sooner I saw someone the better and he reassured me it wouldn't hurt. He says he treats people in crutches or wheelchairs after accidents and again reassured me I would be fine. I drove myself to see him and I'm so glad I did. Turns out he's a sports chiropractor and he happens to be the team doctor for the L.A. Derby Dolls (the professional girls roller derby team). Immediately after examining me as I stood up, he pointed out that my "SI" was misaligned and that he could fix me. I was a bit alarmed that he could tell my back was off kilter just by looking at me stand up, but then he went on to explain to me and show me on his wall charts where my pain was stemming from and why. After 20 minutes of "stimming" with the tens machine, he proceeded to adjust me and indicate all the pained areas I had were because of my severe misalignment and lots of tightness in my back and shoulders. I could not believe that what he did was not painful at all because even the slightest move at home just an hour earlier was so painful. I got up from the bed without any problem and proceeded to walk out without any pain. I was pleasantly surprised. The chiropractor is friendly but, I don't like to feel like I'm in an assembly line. That's how it felt here. I prefer privacy and there weren't any. It's just strange to be in a room with two other men that you don't know while laying there. Plus the treatment felt somewhat rushed. Lord, do not come here. I was describing my situation and how I felt and he stopped me mid sentence and said "Please do not curse, it makes you look bad." In my head I was like oh nooooooo. If I could give Dr. Michael 10 stars I would!!! He's the best chiropractor I've ever met and really understands the body and how it works. I only wish his office was closer to my home because I would definitely see him every week if I could. I'm on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day, five days a week and my job requires me to work with my hands all day so it can be taxing on my body especially my shoulders and legs. Dr. Giang is very knowledgeable. He is highly experienced with his craft. My first time seeing a chiropractor and I am very happy to have found Dr. Giang. I came in barely able to walk with an upright posture, sit properly was painful, and with very severe discomfort in my lower back. He instantly pointed out that my lower back had rotated out of position. Within an hour of treatment, I was able to walk, sit and stand with only a slight feeling of soreness. I always envy those who say they feel instant relief when they get adjusted cause I never felt that way til I started coming here 2 years now. This place is amazing! I have been to many chiropractors and I have to say Dr. Giang is by far the best. My friends and family live in Orange County and we always go to him. Everyone is very welcoming, nice and very professional. I always feel like I just got 10 hours of sleep after I get my readjustment. The office is squeaky clean and always smells good. Dr. Giang also decorates his office for Halloween and Christmas, which is really cool to see. Dr. Giang is an amazing chiropractor! His technique is a lot gentler than a lot of other chiros, when he adjusts my neck, he just gets it to the edge of tension, then shifts it and it adjusts. A lot of other chiropractors I've been to just get you on the table, and pop pop pop you all over then it's "see you next time." Dr. Giang has occasionally only adjusted one or two of the vertebrae in my neck with precision. He has also tried to find out why I was out of whack and suggested various exercises I could do to strengthen the underlying weaknesses which are causing my bones to be out of place int he first point.
