Hayashi is a Terrible Dr. who change appointment without notice and any explanations. the office receptionist pretty incompetence of during her job. really not sure who should be the one to tell patients on last minute change to Dr Kuo without notice and consent. Dr Kuo is very rude to his patients, although, he know that every patients to see them are because of pain. he push and force patient to move with pain. worse part, is that he did not inform us prior authorization is required to see him at very last minutes and said he can not preform any treatment until insurance approved! I have been Dr. Kuo's patient for about 3 years now, but due to recent insurance changes, I had to bid my farewells to his office. I'm still feeling pretty guilt-ridden, so I figured this would be the best time to finally write him a long-due review.  I initially came into his office to help treat with wrist pain caused from typing away in an office all day. After having my first consultation with him, he noticed that my posture was out of whack (habitual sloucher), and determined that my pain could have been caused by nerve issues coming all the way from my neck, so I had to go to an imaging center to get a better idea. The moment he and I evaluated my x-rays together, Dr. Kuo shook my hand and said, "My name is Dr. David Kuo and you'll be seeing me for a very long time." It was a pretty life-altering statement to hear from a provider to put it shortly. So, to better help myself and my bodily health, I did. Pretty consistently, too. Fortunately for me, Dr. Kuo is great at what he does. Most of the time, it hurts like hell, but you'll feel the effectiveness of those treatments help a few days after. In addition to treatments in the office, he'll provide different stretches and exercises to be done at home to help alleviate certain pains. But looking pass the physical treatments that has definitely brought me some beady eyes on some days, he's a caring and empathetic doctor who also suffers from chronic back issues. This is partly why he's a doctor now, but definitely ask him to tell you that story yourself, because he loves to have fun and thoughtful conversations with his patients, be it about his love of giant dogs, his skeptics on Burning Man, to his aspirations of making a mid-life crisis purchase on a Slingshot.  Still feeling pretty bummed because I'm really going to miss my visits here with Dr. Kuo and Anna, and I'm certainly dreading the process of restarting and finding a different provider. But for those of you who have the privilege of seeing him, you'll definitely be taken care of by the both of them. read more

Dr. David Kuo has been awesome!!! My mom had been suffering from a slip disc and she's seen so many type doctors that could not help alleviate the pain. My aunt recommended Dr. Kuo to my mom after he had help treat her shoulder pain. So I called and made an appointment for my mom to see him. First of all let me say Dr. Kuo really good bedside manner and professionalism. I can say this because I'm a registered nurse and I've seen my share of doctors and how they treat their patients. He's very thorough in his explanation to make sure you feel comfortable. But after seeing Dr. Kuo for a little over two months my mom has notice her back pain has improved drastically. This doctor is very forceful like he's always upset. He will charge you 25 dollars if you're late. When insurance no longer covered my care, he wouldn't let me pay for just his decompression machine which is all I needed. Very inflexible and always upset. His adjustments hurt. Dr Kuo has helped me solve my lower back tightness problem I have been experiencing for several years. Wish I came here sooner. My usual visit consist of first electro stimulation, then a round on the dolphin chair with some stretching, then the real work comes to breakup the scar tissues, some adjustments (cracking), and finishing up with stretching. The overall visit takes about 30 mins and theres usually not much wait as its by appointments. Both Dr Kuo and Ann are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly Recommended. If you've been experiencing aches and pains i suggest you get it checked out instead of trying to deal with it and let the problem linger. Dr. Kuo gets down to business and literally attacks your issues right away. I initially came in to get treated for my left ankle so that I could prance around Europe and Africa for 25 days. It was a stubborn injury I'd lived with for 3yrs that I didn't dedicate time to getting treated properly. I knew it would be an unpleasant trip spent hobbling around if I didn't get it fixed up beforehand. Well, guess what?! This girl walked all around Europe and Africa with no issues! I was even able to log 10mi in one day according to FitBit (yes, even after factoring in the time difference)! I have been seeing Dr. Kuo now for almost two years on a weekly basis and this experience has definitely been a life changer. After being misdiagnosed by multiple doctors and frequently visiting urgent cares I decided to see a chiropractor to relieve a little bit of the pain. Upon the first visit Dr. Kuo requested x-rays, keep in mind no other doctor had asked for this even before I had a surgery to address this pain. Once the x-rays came back, he made a diagnosis which made a lot of sense and he has been treating it ever since. His skills to unknot a knot is phenomenal! I first came into his office complaining about mid back pain and through the treatment, he pointed out spots that I didn't know affected me. I've been using Dr. Kuo's services for about 2 months now, and I really appreciate the work he does to put my body back into a functioning state. I'm always greeted warmly and asked how i'm doing when I enter the building. I get straight-forward answers to my questions and concerns regarding the state of my body and future treatments.Most importantly, I leave the office feeling completely satisfied and balanced. I had pain around my hips and thighs for a year or two, never understood why, and eventually it started to hinder my sleeping habits. With the consultation, viewing the x-rays I had taken, and developing a treatment plan, I walked out of the office a little scared for the future. However, week after week, the pain got less intense. I began to walk without slightly veering to the left and hitting corners with my shoulders. I could sleep without feeling like a twisted pretzel. I've only been coming here a short time but in the time that I have, Dr. Kuo has demonstrated that he cares dearly for his patients and zones in directly on their problems. He tries to explain the issue in detail so that the patient understands why the treatment needs to be done as well as exercises and advice on how to avoid it in the future. Dr Kuo is great! I've never been to a chiropractor before but after an accident, I came to his practice after reading his good reviews on Yelp. There is barely any wait time as its mostly appointment-based, and the whole treatment takes around ~30 minutes. Another bonus is that he is open til 6:30 so it was enough time for me to get there without taking too much time off from work. Ana was also very kind and personable to see as well (I'll miss our boba and GOT talks!). He has good bedside manner and is thorough in explaining my lower back injuries and willing to answer any questions you may have. He is also knowledgeable, funny, a great conversationalist and most importantly not your typical doctor that just tries to hurry you out of their office. The treatment involved electro stimulation, stretching, breaking up the scar tissues, and adjustments. He also gives you some stretches to do at home as well. Dr Kuo really does care about the health and well-being of his patients and will always ask how you're feeling, how your weekend was etc so its never an awkward, quiet visit. My lower back has felt significantly better since getting treatment from Dr Kuo and I feel much better knowing he did what he could so my spasms don't come back. I'm usually skeptical of Yelp ratings, but after coming to him for ~3.5 months, the ratings are justified. I will definitely be coming back if I need it and will refer all of my friends/family. read more

I highly recommend seeing him if you need a chiropractor. Dr. Kuo may have an intimidating face but he's actually friendly and caring. He likes to ask about your life and what's new so it's never one of those awkward silent doctor visits. He has very good interpersonal skills. I see Dr. Kuo to prevent my scoliosis from worsening. He made me more anxious about my condition in the foreseeable future but at least I know I'm doing something about it while I'm still young. Aside from adjusting my spine, he has also instructed me to do some exercises at home to strengthen my back muscles. I've also had hand treated after a major car accident. I wasn't able to put force on my hand for weeks so I asked him to look at it. He ended up cracking it back into place and it was fine again!! The process of pushing your muscles back into place may be extremely painful but well worth it. He also tends to my aging father and gives him tips beyond the scope of chiropractics to enhance his lifestyle. Also, shout out to the receptionist, Winnie. She's very nice and puts on interesting shows/movies to watch on the big screen t.v. so you won't get bored in the waiting room. My experience with chiro pain care center has been amazing. I was looking for a chiropractor for a couple of months it was so hard and covid wasn't helping neither, nobody was returning my calls and the ones that did reached out didn't take my insurance. I had given up hope, and my back was giving up too. But then I got a call from a super friendly  Receptionist Ana. She walked me through the  process and set up my first appointment with Dr. David Kuo. I've been to other chiropractor in the past and they never seemed to addressed the real problem, it's was always been a quick fix. But I was hopeful this time. The office was easy to find they had a lot a parking spaces available. I walk in and was greet by Ana, she had me take a seat and then I meet Dr. David kuo, he was super nice as well. I explained my back pain to him the best I could, he had me get some x-ray so he would have a better idea how to treat my pain. I came back a few days later and he looked worried, he said that I had 2 bad disks in my lower back and a curved spine, basically I had an old man's back. But he was determined to help me get better, skipping ahead 9 months later and a lot of hard work from Dr. David kou and myself, I feel like my old self again the pain that I've been living with for 8 years was gone and I feel like a new man. What is it that everyone seeks in a doctor? Whether it's a primary or a specialist, I believe we all want a doctor who is straightforward, honest, and tailors diagnosis/treatment to the patient's condition (not just use a template). Dr. Kuo is all that in one package. After years and years of having multiple doctors sell my headache off as just a headache, prescribing me a candy shop of pain killers (I ripped up all prescriptions in anger), and telling me my CTs and X-Rays were fine, I finally found a doctor who is willing to investigate further into the headache. After the very first session, Dr. Kuo was able to tell me he suspects a pinched occipital nerve which was later confirmed with an X-Ray. Once he was sure of it, it took him only 2 sessions before I noticed the headache was completely gone. The drilling and excruciating pain that mapped the entire left half of my head was lifted like magic. Initially I did not really want to believe the 5-star rating, but Dr. Kuo has more than prove the rating to be accurate. I don't normally write reviews but I feel I need to with this place. I have been coming to Dr. Kuo for the past two years ever since my car accident. My neck was experiencing major pains and I immediately felt more range of motion after just my first visit. After several sessions, my neck is better than ever. Months after my neck was all better, I ended up tweaking my back golfing and went back to get my back worked on. I went in barely able to walk and come out walking with no problem. Just a few months ago, I came back to see Dr. Kuo more frequently as I was experiencing shoulder pain and later on knee pain. My shoulder pain is virtually none and now we are working on my knee.
