I needed to extend exiting tile installed 4 years ago by a different company to other parts of my home (master bedroom, walk-in closet and office). I had additional tile for them to use. They matched it up perfectly, executed as promised and left the place 100% clean. The entire process was so easy: I measured the room and sent pictures. I got a bid with-in hours and they schedule my install. They showed up on time, were very courteous and talked through any issues they encountered. He talked me through the process and the quote and responded quickly to my email and texts. The actual laying of the flooring took under 5 hours but had to be split over two mornings because when the old carpet came up, the floor was uneven. Denis was prepared with a fix, pouring leveler and the next morning he and his father (a real family business) efficiently and skillfully finished the job. We are very pleased with the end result.

As soon as the product was in, we were contacted and scheduled the work to be done. The job was replacing three bedrooms with laminate, however after they pulled up the carpeting, they found two spots that needed to be leveled. This was done quickly and didn't end up adding any time to the job, they actually finished before they said they would be done, even with the extra work that needed to be done to level and grind down the concrete! Cosimo and his crew were excellent to work with and I honestly would encourage you to reach out to them if you are thinking about changing floors OR if you need ideas/suggestions! As I do interior decor work and renovations in Toronto, I said that I would take care of the shopping. I contacted a few flooring places that had good reviews on Yelp and narrowed it down to Arizona Wholesale Floors. We visited this company and they had a large selection of flooring samples. The customer service rep was pleasant, polite, and accommodating. We were quickly shown suitable samples of berber carpeting in our desired colors, quality, and price point. Our order was written up quickly and we were given an installation date. We were called the day before to confirm installation and an appropriate time. Luis showed up alone to install the carpet which was for a 15' x 17' room. We learned that Luis had been installing for 35 years (since he was a teenager). Luis was both polite and efficient. We are very happy with the finished product which are in the pictures below.

Unfortunately, my experience did not match that reputation. The projects themselves had issues, but the bigger problem was the communication, lack of follow-through, and lack of accountability when those issues came up. To be clear, I understand that mistakes happen. Materials can be delayed. Defects can occur. Schedules can change. That is part of any home improvement project. What matters is how a company communicates, takes ownership, and helps the customer through those issues. That is where The Floor Store fell short in my experience. My carpet project started with a material shortage that left part of the installation unfinished while more carpet had to be ordered. That shortage also appears to have contributed to seams being placed in areas where they may have been avoidable if enough material had been ordered correctly from the beginning. The countertop project then brought a separate set of problems when a defect was identified and a replacement became necessary. Again, issues happen. But throughout both projects, I repeatedly had to chase down updates, ask for status information, and coordinate details that I believe should have been proactively handled by the company. The most frustrating part was the breakdown in communication between scheduling, installers, contractors, and management. Follow-ups that were promised did not happen. Schedules changed without proper notice. At several points, I felt like I was doing the work of the project coordinator just to keep things moving. What concerns me most is what happened after the projects were completed. At management's request, I took the time to provide a detailed written summary of my experience and concerns. I sent that on July 25. Weeks went by with no acknowledgment or response. I followed up again on August 11 and still received no meaningful communication. I also attempted to escalate the issue again before posting this review. That lack of response reinforced the exact concerns I had already raised about communication, follow-through, and accountability. I spent more than $20,000 with this company and expected a much higher level of customer service and project management. While the final products may be acceptable, the process to get there was unnecessarily frustrating and disappointing. At this point, I am posting this review because all private attempts to resolve or even discuss the matter have gone unanswered. I was not looking for excuses or an argument. I was looking for acknowledgment, accountability, and an honest conversation about what went wrong. Ignoring a customer after more than $20,000 in business is not acceptable. If ownership or senior management genuinely cares about their customers, their reviews, and the reputation of this business, I would encourage them to contact me immediately. I would still prefer to resolve this directly and fairly, but that requires someone from The Floor Store to actually respond. Future customers should know that when things go wrong, communication and follow-through matter. In my case, that is where The Floor Store failed. I hope management chooses to take this seriously, because this experience has completely changed the way I view a company I originally trusted.

Nolan not only had a fair price but also had the experience to recognize a suitable solution. Other's were over quoting what work needed to be done. Up until now, despite multiple requests, your involvement has been nonexistent. I recognize that my communication style may be considered outdated, as I prefer direct conversations over lengthy written exchanges. If critical information needs to be discussed, I believe a phone call or an in-person discussion would be far more effective. That said, rather than engaging in an unproductive back-and-forth, I will simply address the inaccuracies in your response. It is clear that the information you've received has been filtered and framed to position us as the problem while absolving your company of any responsibility. Here's a condensed version of the key issues: Grout Concerns - We raised concerns about the grout during and after the project's completion. These concerns were voiced, demonstrated, and documented via text messages, with a consistent response from your company: avoidance, deflection, and blame, with no real solution. Initial Positive Review--The only reason we initially submitted a positive review was persistent requests from your company. We later amended the review because we procrastinated, not because our concerns were invalid. Trust & Oversight - We are not confrontational people, and we trusted the professionals we hired. I explicitly told Keith, "I do not do this for a living, I don't know what a great finished job is supposed to look like. Does this look right?" (referring to several visible issues, particularly the grout). After losing my job, addressing the issue was delayed. However, when another person came to fix it, they acknowledged, "Who did this? This is the worst job I've ever seen!" and further stated that extensive work would be needed to correct it. This confirmed our initial concerns. Cost Misrepresentation - At no point have we brought up cost as a concern. Your statement about "our cost" as if your company provided a free service is entirely inaccurate. We recently completed a major primary bathroom remodel with Advanced Custom Renovations, and we are absolutely in love with our new bathroom! This was a complete overhaul, involving the demolition of the entire bathroom, including the stall shower, garden tub, vanity, and all the flooring throughout the bathroom and the large walk-in closet. After extensive contractors research, interviews and quotes, we selected ACR to remodel our three bathrooms back to back. ACR were very professional, licensed and bonded, did quality work and resolved any issues in a timely manner. Their workers showed up on time and worked without wasting time. You hear horror stories about having to stay on contractors to do what they are supposed to do and we had experienced that with another contractor previously, hence the thorough process in selecting ACR. ACR delivered and my husband and I are very happy with them and with the quality of their work. We liked that they worked with our non-standard ideas and style, requiring a lot of customizing. James was very honest about what would work and how and what it would take to get it done. He offered his ideas based on our wishes and also referred us to an interior designer. We had the option to choose to work with a designer or not (unlike some other contractors who required they do the design in-house and charge us for it). Our master bathroom was a complete overhaul involving removing a wall, moving placement of sinks, lighting, plumbing, converting the bathtub into a super shower. I had about 7-8 bids for a shower upgrade and I'm happy to say our decision for Advanced Custom Renovations was the right call. Super honest/fair quotes, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and I am so impressed with their service that I want you guys to know !! lol Our shower was a DIY nightmare and I was so embarrassed to have folks come in and judge the obvious hack job (I am not a pro folks ). I came across Advanced Custom Renovations when searching a local Facebook group for a bathroom renovation company. We met with several companies but after our initial meeting with James, we knew ACR would be a good fit for our needs and budget. He took the time to explain the process and answer our many questions in the preliminary stages. Our project of converting our master tub to a shower and the existing shower to a linen closet began quicker than originally quoted. Fred was great at letting us know what the next steps were in the construction and build, as well as providing suggestions for alternative options and view points for upgrades/changes we wanted to make along the way. Both he and Keith were accommodating and communicative throughout the whole project. All our dealings with ACR have been professional and timely and we highly recommend. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this entire company. From our first meeting with James, to working with their office staff, to our foremen Keith and Fred and everyone in between. They were always very professional, understanding and had out best interests at heart. We had our flooring and paint throughout the house, two and a half bathrooms remodeled, light fixtures replaced, cabinets repainted, and more. I couldn't believe they got all the work done in just about 7 weeks (and it would have been sooner had we not added some items/changed out minds during the job a few times). Keith was amazing. They were exactly what we were looking for, we were able to choose our own materials and have the support of a full time project manager to coordinate the schedules and contractors. The original quote was accurate and we had no hidden surprises. We were left with the exact custom bathroom we've been dreaming of for years. The first meeting with James was informative and professional, discussing how best to fulfill our needs to update a shower/tub combo in an early 70's home. We made the decision to move forward with ACR and Keith was our project manager. I am glad we chose ACR as the bathroom looks awesome and new pipes too! Considering the age of the home, we met a challenge or two, but Keith was amazing coordinating the teams from start to finish. His follow through and communication were great. We had a bedroom and en suite remodel done that involved basically gutting the en suite and converting a reach in closet to a walk in. ACR was exactly what we were looking for in a contractor. James (owner)was excellent at communication throughout the planning process. He gave great suggestions for products to use and other business to contact when ACR couldn't provide a service (such as a custom vanity for us). Once construction started Keith (project manager) was not only making sure that each crew was getting things done on time but also stepped in to knock out framing. We had received 3 different quotes for this project and this ACR was the company we felt most comfortable with. It's difficult to know who to trust when you're turning over a home project like we did. From the very beginning, ACR was on top of it. We had Keith as our project manager and he was very communicative and we appreciated the time and attention they spend on the details. Also, there were a couple issues that arose during the renovation and as a homeowner, that where you get nervous about the contractors you choose. James and Keith are great to work with. James was wonderful with the quotes. Keith and his team were AMAZING!! ACR was great answering all my questions and also dealing with my "freak out" texts. In our "new" house we had them demo and rebuild the shower. They took out the tub and old shower. We now have a huge walk-in shower that now meets the needs of our special needs adult son. We also had them close the open office so it now has walls and a pocket door. They matched the paint and texture. You would never even know that they work was done. I had high expectations going into our remodel but they absolutely exceeded them. I am OBSESSED with our finished bathrooms. Extremely honest and professional. No surprises and amazing communication. From the initial walkthrough to the pre-work visit with Fred (THE BEST) and the entire process with hands down the best Project Manager in Keith. Kept us informed daily with expectations. Finished ahead of schedule and were truly a pleasure to have in our home. Glad it's done but sort of miss those guys being around every day! We are very happy with our beautiful new bathroom. It has taken about a month to get settled in and we love the beautiful work that was done, especially with the tile and flooring. Keith, our Project Manager was very patient, attentive and open to listening to the needs of our family and concerns in order to make our project complete as we had hoped and expected. Dan's attention to detail and craftsmanship with tile work was exceptional! I have to you, I have used a lot of companies and it is the same old shady " I'll get it done when I get it done" never finish on deadline experience, but not with this company! While some imperfections that originated from the home builder surfaced, the solution was to adapt and modify, not start over from scratch.
