Joanne is an amazing hairstylist, I have always had a great experience. She was able to completely transform my hair for my prom. Before I had gone to her I had a very harsh line of growth from my previous highlights. She was able to get rid of the line and blend the highlights into my natural color so it looks good now and when my hair does grow out it still looks very natural. It was exactly what I wanted and completed my prom look. I have also attached a picture of my hair before and after she did it and it shows how amazing of a hairstylist she is! When I first started going to Joanne I was hopeful that she could rework my hair color. Over the years, my prior stylist had let my hair become too dark and I didn't like the way she was adding in highlights. Joanne explained to me that the process was going to take many months in order to lighten it up "the right way". And she did not disappoint! Three or four appointments later, my hair looked better than it had in years. The color was exactly what I wanted, and so was the style. Joanne is a skilled technician, and a wonderful person. Joanne is not only sweet, friendly, and very professional, but she is a great listener and very conservative with her scissors. I just came from my 3rd haircut with her and love that I always come home with a great cut and no surprise that makes me panic every time I look in the mirror or style my hair the next day. After years of wearing my bangs a certain way, I went in today asking for a little change, and Joanne came up with a fantastic solution. Joanne is definitely one of the most caring and dedicated hair stylists I've ever met - I've been going to her for the past 7 years and even when I moved out of state I would come to her while visiting the area. Beyond her technical skills, she is kind, attentive, sweet, and really cares about your happiness and the quality of her work. I have been going to Joanne to get my hair highlighted for about 10 or 11 years. Joanne is awesome! She always has a warm, friendly atmosphere in her salon. I love it that if I can't remember how much I had trimmed, or what colors were used the last time, she keeps detailed notes and is always prepared. She is always good about giving suggestions on your hair, but, in the end, lets you decide what you want done to your hair. I haven't actually been to the salon to get my hair done by Joanne BUT I did call today to see it I could schedule an appt. I explained to her how I have a hard time getting from darker hair to a much lighter color. She stayed on the phone with me for almost 15 minutes, explaining how colors work and/or don't. She was booked a while out (a great sign) and recommended what I need to tell my current stylist to do to lighten up my hair in the meantime. I am so grateful for Joanne and her remarkable talent at coloring hair! When I moved to Alamo from San Francisco a few years ago I was quite concerned about finding a stylist who would be able to highlight/color my hair as well as my San Francisco stylist (or, so I thought!). Along came Joanne and she is, without any doubt, the very best colorist I have ever met! Not only is Joanne an absolute perfectionist but, she also has an amazing comprehension of the exact science of color, which is paramount when working in this industry. In the past, without realizing it, my hair was over bleached, broke easily and came out a slightly different color after each treatment. Joanne painstakingly worked on improving not only the color of my hair but also the health of my hair.
